Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?-Chapter 905 - 595: Battle Festival (Part 2)
This round of confrontation ended with Latan sustaining minor injuries, having some of his energy drained, his thigh armor shattered, and parts of the Fran Guard missing.
Even those who had gradually grown accustomed to the grand scenes created by Latan once again fell into silence at this moment.
The people on the battlefield can be roughly divided into several major groups.
Temude and his legion, the Magic Association represented by Turci, and the Holy Light Church, among other well-known organizations. Then, there are the adventurers, which include the Fran Guard, Sun Warriors, and other scattered individuals that can also be classified under adventurers.
"If we continue fighting separately like this, it's only a matter of time before we face total annihilation." Turci adjusted his glasses and said to Leon beside him, "Aren't you quite influential among the adventurers? Rally everyone together."
Looking at the imposing demigod, Leon shook his head and said, "Everyone here is well-known; how can I command everyone on my own? Besides, everyone is already aware of this."
"Just stick to the initial tactics, we can do this."
"Whatever, I'm here to conduct research anyway and to collect royalties from someone else in passing," Turci shrugged, turned, and walked towards the other Magic Professors, leaving a sentence, "I'll go prepare, you all do your best."
Looking back at the center of the battlefield, the warriors who were previously outside the Summoning Star's range had already engaged Latan, their various skills shimmering in the hurricane created by his Dual Swords.
Every swing of the Shattered Star Greatsword sent many flying high into the air, its fierce and vigorous moves slicing through the crowd like a meat grinder.
But the warriors each had their ways of responding. Many of them hadn't even met before this Battle Festival began, but they're now cooperating with each other in perfect harmony.
Though people fell constantly, the feats of the Fran Guard seemed to have infused everyone with confidence. People no longer feared and were now filled with fighting spirit.
The Summoning Star drew enemies from a large area towards itself, then unleashed explosive attacks.
The Gravity Spin soared into the sky, advancing towards the enemy ranks in a spiraling motion.
The Fan-shaped Gravity Wave sent all enemies in the front flying into the sky.
Every appearance of Gravity Magic provided the audience outside with extreme visual enjoyment, but it brought nothing less than certain death to those on the battlefield.
By now, almost half had been killed!
However, despite the strength of Gravity Magic, Latan seldom used it, opting instead for supportive techniques like summoning meteors to hover by his side or attaching rocks to his sword blades.
His main tools in battle were still his Dual Swords and warrior skills!
Clearly, simply repeating Gravity Magic, like how Overlord Vonier repeats Divine Wrath, would lead to victory, yet he didn't choose to do so!
The ferocious and lethal swordsmanship, as hard as it was to react to, was still preferable to the unbeatable Gravity Magic for the crowd, as at least some could survive beneath the Dual Swords!
And on the bloodstained dunes, weaving under the demigod's blade, they roared at the divine in defiance, shedding sweat and blood....
This filled every participant with boiling zeal as they fully immersed themselves in this scene relived from Sain Dungeon!
The audience outside momentarily forgot to cheer for their favored side, their eyes fixed intently on the projection in the sky, their mouths dry, almost as if they were part of it, wishing they could enter themselves. The long-lost aura of the warrior was deeply engraved in each viewer's eyes.
People refrained from blinking, not wanting to miss any frame. After today, the hospitals in Black Stone City would welcome a large number of neck strain patients.
In the battlefield.
Latan, who was delivering fated deaths with his sword, seemed to sense something and suddenly raised his head towards a certain direction.
There was where the Magic Professors were located, a dense gathering of many magicians, alongside several Gold Level adventurers proficient in magic.
They were casting magic from afar to cover those fighting in close quarters. The weak damage hadn't caught Latan's attention, but now it did, drawing his gaze.
"Damn, why is he already looking over?"
Fingerley, responsible for guarding the Magicians and observing, was suddenly shocked, asking the Magicians behind him, "Not ready yet?"
"No, we still need time!"
A giant magic array was being carved on the dunes by many magicians exceeding the Elite Level. Each stroke consumed enough magic power to drain a Magic Apprentice. By now, countless magicians lay slumped, depleted of magic power, unable to rise again.
This was the massive project planned by the Magicians, headed by Turci, during the Battle Festival.
This was an Ancient Magic unearthed by Vienma, and it's an Attack Magic aimed at the original—it's a Super Forbidden Curse!
Gathering so many Magic Professor-level figures to draw a magic array, excluding this current Battle Festival, was a rare moment. These dangerous magic wielders grouped together indeed could create an explosion that astonished the world, intending to blast through Latan's chest with this Super Forbidden Curse exceeding the power of a Forbidden Curse!
But this was merely the plan of these magic enthusiasts; they hadn't enlisted the help of many others.
