Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?-Chapter 902 - 595: Battle Festival (Part 2)
Watching that punchable bald Patch wave his hand and slowly disappear.
Let's not talk about what those in battle think of this.
The expressions of those in the outside audience who had just praised Patch's courage now looked as if they'd bitten into Elderly, full of discomfort.
"I bloody knew it...."
"Well, he's still the same old Patch."
"Who invited this guy to the Battle Festival, and why haven't we seen Solar?"
When people introduce the character Patch to future generations, what happened today will likely be narrated colorfully with bold strokes.
"Alright, alright, let's hurry up and keep watching, they're fighting again!"
In the wasteland that serves as the battlefield.
Despite the strong mental shock caused by Latan's sudden use of Gravity Spike, the warriors immediately rallied, raising their swords and blades once more.
Knowing Patch's character a bit, the news of his fleeing didn't cause much of a drop in morale.
But the blows didn't stop there.
"Bang!"
With a crisp sound, Alexander, the Warrior Pot who had previously charged headlong at Latan with Rising Dragon Fist to gain close-range time for everyone, was struck by the Shattered Star Greatsword and sent flying.
People only saw fragments of the Warrior Pot and their contents scattered across the ground, transforming into white light points which turned out to be [Live Pot Shards] upon closer inspection.
The tough enough Alexander did not die from this, but the severe wounds on his body rendered him unable to get back up. Though expressionless, people could sense his anger and pain over his lack of strength.
Some kind-hearted individuals moved him to a place far from the battlefield, and it was at that moment that "Half Wolf" Blaze, wielding a greatsword, leapt up from the chaotic crowd. The cold-infused sword erupted in ice fog chilling Latan's back.
But before he could land, the Meteorite Ball summoned by Gravity Magic struck him, sending his entire body flying.
As two formidable residual shadows were successively heavily injured, people increasingly felt the horror of Latan's strength.
Now everyone's heartbeats must be exceeding limits.
"Divert his attention!"
Temude, sweating profusely from the pressure, shouted as his soldiers unanimously tossed their Flame Scrolls towards Latan's back, breaking into countless Flame Bombs powerful enough to shatter small hills.
The color of Gravity Magic glistened once again, pulling out rocks from the ground with irresistible force, and walls made up of solid stones clashed with the Flame Bombs.
In an instant, even half the sky was painted with the color of fire, and exploding rock shards slashed the skin of nearby warriors.
Only the stone wall was shattered, while the original target was unharmed!
Latan, with red hair floating due to Gravity Magic, merged with the flames behind him, and the fire's reflection cloaked his menacing face in shadow, except for a pair of eyes gleaming with the light of combat.
Truly like a Demon God!
"Damn it, so many scrolls, and he still blocked it!"
Temude bit his lip, knowing the combined power of these scrolls could even blow up a hill, yet they were stopped, leaving Latan unscathed, only chipping the superficial rocks on the Shattered Star Greatsword.
People outside were also stunned, wondering how they could continue to fight?
If the explosions had all targeted the Shattered Star Greatsword, it might have shattered all the rock chunks... but what's the point of that?
The rocks on the blade enhanced its power, yet it made no difference to those present since a direct hit from the Shattered Star General's sword meant certain death, with or without the rocks!
Temude clutched the various scrolls stuffed in his chest, including one with Explosion Magic equivalent to a Forbidden Curse. Only their King and Prince could obtain such a rare item, with power dozens of times greater than the previous explosion.
He eventually released his grip, not because he couldn't bring himself to use it, but because it didn't seem like the right moment.
Moreover, although the previous explosion appeared not to harm Latan, it did turn his focus to them; they successfully drew his attention!
"Fall back, create distance, we need to hold the line!"
Under his command, the soldiers spurred their horses to retreat, seemingly seeing no means to win at close range.
But Latan was even faster.
His scrawny mount appeared on the brink of collapse, akin to an animated corpse among horses, yet its galloping speed matched that of the soldiers' finest steeds, no, Latan's mount far outpaced them!
They only felt like an endless mountain pursued them relentlessly!
An even more intense sense of danger crept from behind, engulfing them in fear, unable to look back, hearing only the throaty sounds of a Lion's hunting growl.
Latan, raising the Shattered Star Greatsword wide and high, his arm muscles swelling visibly as though each had its own life, and then, the dual swords descended with crushing force!
