Chapter 809: Chapter 808: What Did You Buy

"Why did you go to the pharmacy?" His gaze was cold, scrutinizing as he asked.

"I didn’t do anything." She certainly couldn’t say that she went to buy medicine, could she?!!!

Her wrist was still being painfully gripped by him, possibly swelling up; did he have to be so domineering? She used all her strength, but... it was still useless, she couldn’t break free from his hold.

Wasn’t it all his fault?

If it weren’t for what he did last night, why would she be worried about being pregnant...

"Alexander Kingsley, don’t tell me you’re following me!" She tried to change the subject.

Who knew, he actually ignored her, reaching out to grab the bag in her hand, "Let me see... what you bought."

"No..." She couldn’t let him find out, "Well, I didn’t buy anything. I was going to buy something but haven’t yet."

Alexander seemed uncertain: "Really?"

Nothing bought?

He had just gotten here and saw her checking out at the counter. His vision was excellent; from a distance, he saw what seemed to be a small square box. It wasn’t clear what it was, but she bought something—some kind of medicine, but he didn’t know what.

At this moment, his gaze was fixed on Carla Carr’s bag, as if determined to see what exactly she bought.

"Uh, I didn’t buy anything." She stubbornly denied it, "Ugh, honey, honey! I didn’t buy anything! Don’t grab my bag!"

She called him ’honey’ so softly that it melted his heart.

The man paused his actions, and his tone softened with concern as he asked, "Are you sick?"

Alexander Kingsley had no idea she came to buy birth control pills to avoid having his child.

Therefore, she was afraid he’d get angry, so she came secretly, and even when caught in the act, she stubbornly denied it.

Alexander reached out to touch her forehead. It wasn’t hot; the temperature was just right. She didn’t have a fever and didn’t seem abnormal at all. If there was nothing wrong, why did she go to the pharmacy alone early in the morning?

"You’re not going to say, are you?" he questioned. Seeing that she didn’t intend to answer, he started walking towards the pharmacy.

Carla Carr was puzzled: "Alexander Kingsley, why are you going to the pharmacy?"

"You’re not telling me, so I’ll go ask myself." He answered without hesitation.

"..." Oh no! He’s going to ask himself!

If he finds out, will he destroy the whole pharmacy?!

As she saw the man about to enter the pharmacy, she immediately pulled out the vitamin C from her bag and shouted: "Fine, I’ll tell you, isn’t that enough?"

Alexander paused his steps, turned around, and walked towards her, his deep dark eyes firmly locking onto her small face.

Carla Carr drily said: "Um, I bought vitamin C... Last time, over at the Sovereign Empire, when I went for a check-up, the doctor said I was lacking vitamins, so I came to buy some."

She bought a bottle of vitamin C and a box of emergency medicine, combining them wouldn’t hurt her stomach. She hadn’t thought much about it and just bought them.

Who knew this bottle of vitamins had such a use?

Alexander came forward and glanced at the medicine in her hand, vitamin C.

Vitamin C can boost immunity, antioxidize to delay skin aging... essentially beautifying, and it has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties...

Many fruits have this; she just needs to eat more fruit!

Medicine is inherently harmful.

Alexander’s face darkened as he snatched the medicine from her hand and threw it away without hesitation.
