When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 860: It Must Be a Special Fate
"I’ve written for others before." Adrian Lancaster smiled gently, "Someone picked up a pen of mine, and I wrote a letter to give to the teacher. Since then, nothing has disappeared from our school."
Learning something about his childhood, Faye Turner felt very happy. If only she had known him earlier.
If she had become his elementary school classmate, they would have been childhood sweethearts, right? Perhaps... she could have healed him earlier.
Happy people, those who know how to cherish, find that no amount of love is enough.
The more incapable a person is, the more they act tough inside while being a wimp outside.
The arrangement in the church took a lot of effort, and everyone could see it.
Some admired silently, some happily took photos, some studied the details, and others said they wanted to emulate it for their own weddings.
Especially when Adrian Lancaster saw Chase Fletcher’s dedication, he felt full of guilt when he faced Faye again.
"Faye." This man, almost like a mythical figure, suddenly felt a bit low, like a child—
"I haven’t done particularly well. I still haven’t given you a wedding. I’m sorry."
Faye was momentarily stunned, not expecting his sudden apology.
Then she laughed, patting his shoulder, "What are you saying? Not having a wedding means you didn’t do well? And especially not well? Why do you define yourself like that?"
She quickly comforted him—
"Mr. Lancaster, I feel so happy now, and I believe you can feel this happiness too, right?"
"So, really, the wedding doesn’t matter to me at all! As long as you’re by my side, as long as the child is healthy, I, Faye Turner, feel like the happiest woman in the world!"
Seeing the light in his wife’s eyes, the happy smile on her face, and her mischievous kiss on the tip of his nose in full view of everyone.
Adrian Lancaster felt much relieved inside, seeing her happy made him genuinely glad.
He hugged her shoulder and promised, "Don’t worry, I will give you a wedding, more grand than any you’ve ever seen!"
Just throw money at it, right?
Anyway, President Lancaster has money!
The girl first eyed him suspiciously, then smiled and said, "So I’ll be waiting?"
"Hmm." Adrian Lancaster looked into her eyes, nodding seriously, he was certainly going to keep his word.
At this moment, a beige butterfly, out of nowhere, flew into the church. It was large, with beautiful wings, really stunning, landing gently on Faye Turner’s shoulder.
"A butterfly." Noticing it, Adrian Lancaster pointed and reminded.
Faye turned her head slightly, gently putting her finger on her shoulder, and the butterfly, seemingly sentient, landed on her fingertip.
"Wow..." Faye happily cupped the butterfly, admiring it joyfully. The butterfly was beige, with black dots on its wings, perfectly symmetrical, unlike any other butterflies she had seen.
Her fingers moved gently, her gaze on the fingertip, the butterfly fluttered and then settled again, as if not afraid of humans at all.
Standing beside his wife, Adrian Lancaster also looked at this cute little creature, marveling, "It must be a special kind of fate. Grandpa always said there’s no leaf in the world that falls in the wrong place."
Faye, while playing with the butterfly, glanced at Adrian and asked with a smile, "So every step we take is the one we should walk, right? Everything that happens is predestined?"
"That’s exactly what it means, that’s how Buddhism defines it."
Faye was very happy, and after about two minutes, the butterfly flew away by itself, flapping its wings higher and higher, further and further, until it disappeared from Faye’s sight.
"Mother, a butterfly!" Rhiannon Xavier, holding some exquisite pastries, excitedly pointed out to Mrs. Xavier beside her, "A beautiful butterfly just landed on your shoulder!"
