Chapter 852: Chapter 852: What’s Inside This Box?

The evening before the wedding, the sunset at the horizon was intoxicatingly beautiful, each sunset being the sun’s last act of tenderness left for the sky.

Rachel Sherman was wearing an apron and making soup in the kitchen, preparing lamb chops and some white radishes today.

Through the window, she saw Chase Fletcher playing ball with June in the yard, their figures, large and small, exuding warmth and love.

The beautiful sunset cast onto them, and upon seeing their smiling faces, Rachel felt indescribably happy.

June had already learned to walk, her little steps were steady, and she particularly enjoyed treading on the grass in the yard. Her laughter was always bright and cheerful, her personality especially outgoing.

Today’s soup was initially very bland, but as Rachel lifted the lid, the aroma of the meat suddenly made her nauseous and she felt like vomiting.

She covered her mouth for a while before feeling better, adjusted the gas to a lower setting, washed her hands, and continued chopping the white radishes.

Why do it herself when there was an aunt in the house?

Because Chase Fletcher never liked drinking soup since he was a child. However, whatever Rachel prepared, even if it were medicine, he would gulp it down without disappointing her.

Half an hour later, when she ladled the soup into a bowl and brought it out, she saw an unfamiliar car parked in the yard.

Did a guest arrive at their home? She walked towards the coffee table, gently placing the soup bowl down, and then turned her gaze towards the window.

She saw the car door open, someone stepped out, opened the trunk, and unloaded a large, exquisite box.

Then Chase Fletcher stood up, holding June, walked to those two people and exchanged a few words—

"Mr. Fletcher, this is strictly made to Miss Sherman’s measurements, and theoretically, there shouldn’t be any issues. But it’s best to try it on, if it’s not suitable, we can still alter it tonight."

"Alright, thank you for your hard work, please move it inside."

Then Rachel watched as the two people carried the large box into the living room.

"Hello, Miss Sherman." They greeted her politely upon entering.

"Hello." Rachel smiled warmly as they set the box down and left, driving away shortly thereafter.

Rachel’s gaze rested on the exquisite box adorned with a bow. She was curious to know what was inside.

Just then, Chase Fletcher came in holding June, and Rachel asked him, "What is this?"

The man displayed a mysterious smile, handed the child to a nearby servant, and said to her, "Open it and see."

Rachel was puzzled, slightly surprised, looking at him as she walked towards the large box. Was it a gift from him to her?

A giant doll? Otherwise, why was it... so big?

As she squatted down, opening the box with a sense of nervousness, she found a beautiful bridal gown lying inside.

Rachel’s heart skipped a beat, she slowly looked up at him, "..." filled with astonishment.

"Go try it on, it’s made to your measurements, should fit perfectly, but trying it on is safer. If it doesn’t fit, there’s room for alterations," Chase said with deep affection.

"..." Rachel whispered to him, "Are you preparing for the wedding?"

"Go try it," he urged, dodging the subject, "The soup’s ready, right? I’ll have two bowls!" He said as he moved towards the kitchen.

"The soup’s ready, it’s on the coffee table!" Rachel quickly reminded.

Chase Fletcher said to the two nearby maids, "Assist her."

"Yes, young sir."

The two maids quickly came over, carefully took the gown out of the box, pure, beautiful, elegant, dreamy, its design truly gorgeous.

"Miss Sherman, please come with us."

And so, the still-startled Rachel followed the maids into the adjoining room.

Meanwhile, Chase Fletcher sat on the sofa, sipping the soup, feeling immensely excited about tomorrow’s wedding.
