Chapter 784: Chapter 784: Resolutely Choosing to Face It Together

When elders bring up the topic of relationships, most young people are reluctant to face it, often dodging the question.

However, Nathan Xavier is different. He is quite forthright, "Grandma, I haven’t found a girlfriend yet, and my mother isn’t rushing me. She said she had my fortune told, and the right connection hasn’t arrived."

"I won’t decide whether to believe that fortune or not, but Nathan, if you meet a girl you like, don’t miss out."

Grandma also said, "Work is never the most important thing. Your own life should come first. The saying goes ’establish a family before building a career,’ and ’establish a family’ comes first."

"Yes, Grandma, you’re absolutely right." Nathan didn’t disagree at all; instead, he responded with a smile, "If I find someone suitable and that I like, I’ll definitely get married first." He answered the elder’s question earnestly.

The elder turned her eyes, looking at him with love, "Nathan, how are your parents doing lately? Are they well?"

"Don’t worry, Grandma, everyone is doing great." Nathan always gives off a warm feeling, with a gentle, wise, and steady aura.

The car headed towards Jadepoint, and along the way, Nathan chatted with his grandma about the wonderful memories she had given him in his childhood.

Like the clothes Grandma made for him by hand, which he wore during a speech and brought him good luck, winning first prize.

He said that Grandma always brought luck because she was open-minded, like a fairy.

And Grandma always said, "Read more, read more. Reading makes you enlightened."

Three days passed quickly. Rachel Sherman’s work assignment ended, and another group of reporters arrived at the disaster area, so Rachel could return to Argent.

Chase Fletcher drove the RV, and on their way back, he received a call from his father, Ian Fletcher.

His father said on the phone that the project with the Prestige Group at Cove Serein Resort was about to start.

He asked when would be a good day for the launching ceremony, indirectly asking when he would be back, showing both concern and worry.

Chase didn’t hear any blame from his father and candidly replied, "Dad, we’re on our way back. We’ll be home in an hour, and Rachel is coming back too."

Ian Fletcher finally felt relieved, "Alright, drive safely. Bring Rachel home for dinner, okay? I’ll have the kitchen prepare, waiting for you."

His father’s tone was relaxed and joyful.

Chase didn’t sense anything amiss. In fact, he should have known that the moment his father agreed to let him go to the disaster area to find Rachel, he had accepted their being together.

So, he happily agreed, "Okay, thank you for the trouble."

After a few more words, his father hung up the phone.

After putting down the phone, he turned to invite Rachel, "Rachel, come to our house for dinner tonight; my dad asked me to invite you."

"..." Rachel was shocked and momentarily bewildered, meeting his gaze.

Chase’s lips curled into a smile as he held her hand, giving her a dash of encouragement and comfort, "I came to find you. Not only does my dad know, but he was the one who asked me to."

Rachel was even more shocked, and Chase nodded affirmatively, "Trust me, I’m not lying to you. My parents will like you as much as I do."

He looked into her eyes filled with deep meaning, and finally, she slightly lifted the corners of her lips, determined to face it with him, "Okay, I’ll go home with you."
