Chapter 663: Chapter 663: Seeking Hope

All night long, the woman sat in the chair beside the bed. She held the man’s hand, which lacked warmth, accompanying him and sinking deeply into hesitation and conflict.

Bits and pieces from the past twenty years replayed in her mind like a movie.

She was so reluctant to let go.

However, rather than watching him die, the woman couldn’t bear it—she wasn’t that selfish.

Thus, after struggling through the night until the next morning, she finally figured it out and made a decision in her heart.

After freshening up, she had a simple breakfast, changed into an outfit she had kept hidden, and elegantly but inwardly weary, stepped out.

The rain stopped, and the whole world was spotless.

Her world seemed silently still as well; she didn’t know what tomorrow would bring, but she could only bravely take this step.

The woman stepped out.

In the morning in the priceless mansion, after breakfast, the heavily pregnant Faye Turner escorted Adrian Lancaster to the Lamborghini in the yard.

She smiled and adjusted his tie and collar, a little reluctantly, "Come back soon to pick me up, let’s have dinner with Grandpa."

"Okay." Adrian Lancaster gently stroked her smooth hair and planted a deep kiss on her forehead.

Then he waved at her before bending down into the car.

Faye Turner smiled blissfully, "Bye-bye."

No matter when, whenever he looked at her, his eyes were always filled with doting light.

Through the car window, he appeared energetic and charming.

If it wasn’t for the company to manage and employees relying on him, he wished he could be tangled up with her every day.

Even just watching her, without speaking, was happiness.

In some sense, Adrian Lancaster was definitely a love-struck man.

As the Lamborghini drove out of the yard, Faye Turner returned to the living room. She picked up a book about baby care and sat on the sofa, flipping through it again.

At the gate, a middle-aged woman paused slightly and nervously looked inside.

"May I ask who you are looking for?" A polite bodyguard approached her.

The middle-aged woman snapped back and somewhat shakily glanced at him, "I’m looking for your wife. Could you please inform her?"

The bodyguard saw her urgency and unfamiliarity, paused, then asked, "What is your relation to the wife?"

"..." The woman was stumped and couldn’t answer.

The bodyguard sized her up and kindly asked, "Then, what is your name?"

"..." The woman couldn’t answer that either.

But the bodyguard was perceptive that this woman might have unspeakable concerns, "Please wait a moment," he said, turning to head toward the living room.

He was worried about missing something important.

"Thank you." The woman tenderly spoke as she watched him leave, filled with emotion inside.

"Madam." Upon entering, the bodyguard reported, "There is a middle-aged woman at the door wanting to see you."

Faye Turner looked up with doubt and listened as he continued—

"I don’t know her relation to you, nor her name. She didn’t say anything, but she really wants to see you."

Faye Turner glanced outside the living room and, putting down the book, rose to walk toward the door.

The bodyguard stayed by her side, protecting her.

As she walked closer, Faye Turner recognized the woman outside the yard; judging by her appearance and demeanor, she seemed to be the woman she’d encountered twice at Dr. Aiken’s.

Upon reaching the door, she recognized the woman’s face from a photo!

The person Adrian had been searching for!

Faye Turner’s heart skipped a beat; it was really her!

Despite twenty years having passed, the woman’s face hadn’t undergone surgery.

Her facial contours remained unchanged from twenty years ago, still carrying her charm with added traces of time. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

The bodyguard opened the ornate automatic iron gate, with Faye Turner standing inside the yard, and the woman outside.

The two stood two meters apart, gazing into each other’s eyes, and time seemed to freeze in this moment.

Faye Turner quickly snapped back to reality, casting a gentle smile at the bodyguard, "Let her in. There’s no need to report this to Mr. Lancaster."
