Chapter 427: Chapter 427: He Loves Only Her

Kissing deeply, Adrian Lancaster began to lose himself, one arm wrapped around her waist, the other hand holding her nape, closing his eyes as he deepened the kiss as if treasuring a gem.

Dustin Shepherd stood outside, mustering the courage to look inside, witnessing this scene.

He withdrew his gaze somewhat forlornly and stepped away.

Standing alone with the documents in the corridor, the image of the two kissing flashed in his mind, and deep inside, there was a distinct sting of pain.

However, a smile remained on his lips, believing that loving is wishing for you to have a harmonious family and a safe and smooth life.

This is the highest level of love, not possession.

Inside the office, it wasn’t until Adrian Lancaster’s phone suddenly rang, its abrupt ringtone pulling their thoughts back and interrupting the kiss.

He gazed at her tenderly, slowly releasing her, looking at her with profound affection.

Her lips were reddened from the kiss, her cheeks flushed, avoiding his gaze as she tucked her hair, "Quickly, answer it," she gently reminded him.

Adrian Lancaster looked at the phone and saw it was Milo Turner calling, which surprised him.

He showed the phone screen to his wife, "It’s your brother calling."

Milo?

Faye Turner couldn’t help but feel nervous, was something wrong and he needed his brother-in-law to fix it?

Adrian Lancaster answered and put it on speaker, "Hello, Milo."

"Brother-in-law," the joyful voice of the brother came through, "My mom bought a lot of groceries and is cooking at home, she wants to invite you and my sister for dinner."

Even through the phone, he seemed in a really good mood.

"No problem, we have time," Adrian Lancaster replied happily, "It’s thoughtful of you all, we’re off at five."

"Alright, see you later, I’m going to clean the shrimp now, bye-bye~"

"Bye-bye."

Faye Turner watched Adrian Lancaster hang up the phone, and she asked, puzzled, "Did you go find my mom?" Otherwise, how did he suddenly think of Shane, and why did her mom suddenly invite them for dinner?

Meeting his wife’s gaze, he nodded, "Yes, actually ever since the first time I saw your mom, she felt particularly familiar, but I just couldn’t remember where I had seen her."

She didn’t interrupt him, just looked at him like that.

He thought for a while and said gratefully, "Perhaps it’s fate helping me, suddenly I remembered, she was my kindergarten teacher."

To Faye Turner, what happened today seemed incredibly unbelievable.

"Faye," he tenderly held her hand, gently rubbing it in his palm, "How about we watch a movie after dinner?"

He promised her, and he would certainly follow through.

Faye Turner just looked at him, feeling touched by the irony of fate, going through so much to end up married.

It turned out she wasn’t just Sienna Dawson’s shadow, Sienna was her shadow instead... isn’t that funny?

"For the years I was late, the years of loving wrongly, I’ll strive to make up in every day that follows, will you give me a chance?" Adrian Lancaster now only loves her.

Before she could answer his question, her phone rang.

Faye Turner checked her phone and saw it was a classmate from the DNA testing center calling.

"Who is it?" Adrian Lancaster hadn’t seen the caller ID.

Faye Turner tucked the phone away, masking it with a smile, "It’s Director Jennings, I have to return to the office now."

"Go ahead," he didn’t stop her, as he also had work in the afternoon, "Let’s finish work at five and go home for dinner together."

"Okay." Faye Turner smiled at him as she held the still-ringing phone and then stepped outside.

But just as she reached outside, Adrian Lancaster caught her from behind, startling her, and she instinctively covered the phone, which coincidentally stopped ringing right then.

He came in front of her, planting a light kiss on her forehead, "Go ahead."

So sweet!

Faye Turner found it a bit overwhelming, offering him a fond smile, "Bye-bye~" then swiftly exited the office.

But as soon as she left, she hadn’t walked far before she caught the gaze of Dustin Shepherd from a distance.

Faye Turner stopped in her tracks.
