When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 425: Kindergarten Memories
This kiss was witnessed by others and was excitedly captured on camera.
All the female employees leaning against the glass door felt their hearts melting, which was simply sweeter than a drama.
Outside a rented apartment.
Chloe Gable, dressed simply, walked into the narrow corridor with a bag filled with groceries. She had a smile on her face and seemed in a good mood.
After going upstairs, she arrived in front of the rented apartment, put down the bag in her hand, and placed her fingerprint on the newly replaced lock.
The door opened with a sound, "Verification successful, welcome home."
Much more convenient than fiddling with keys for half a day.
After entering, she went to the kitchen intending to cook a homemade meal and invite Adrian and Faye for dinner.
After all, this kind of fate is truly magical, to meet again nearly 20 years later and become a family.
This is truly a long-awaited reunion, and seeing these two kids together made her really happy.
Back in kindergarten, Faye often looked for Adrian to play and would always think of sharing something nice to eat with him.
Remembering those past days made Teacher Gable’s smile even brighter.
While preparing food, she recalled the memories of her years at Sunbeam Kindergarten, the bits and pieces about Adrian Lancaster becoming clearer and clearer— 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
He was always silent and withdrawn, didn’t like playing games with classmates.
He looked very handsome, fair-skinned, always exuding a maturity inconsistent with his age.
There was always a sense of distance about him.
He was polite and respectful to teachers and classmates, but somewhat distant, apart from saying "Hello teacher" and "Thank you teacher," there was hardly any communication.
During the time Adrian Lancaster was in kindergarten at Sunbeam Kindergarten, he was out of favor.
His mother inexplicably stopped loving him, lashed out at him, and even hit him.
Thus, he became very withdrawn and very unhappy...
Only the little girl named Shane noticed him, frequently sitting by his side, even though he didn’t pay her any attention.
In the kitchen, Chloe Gable just picked some greens to soak in water, peeled a pepper, and then sliced meat.
"Mom!"
The door was being knocked loudly, and Milo Turner’s voice came through.
"Coming, coming!" She glanced back, quickly put down the kitchen knife, washed her hands, and used a towel to dry her hands, walking rapidly towards the door.
Upon opening the door and seeing her son, she was very happy, "Milo is back? So early today?"
The boy’s curious gaze fell upon this magical lock, "I was wondering why I couldn’t find the keyhole? Is this a fingerprint lock?"
"Yes." Chloe Gable beamed, "Your brother-in-law had it replaced."
"Brother-in-law?" Milo Turner was first surprised, then not really puzzled.
He walked inside, "Did you struggle for half a day and couldn’t open the door, and he saw it?"
Chloe Gable smiled without answering, "Just in time for you to assist with dinner preparations, we’ll invite your sister and brother-in-law over for a meal tonight."
"You invited them?" The boy’s eyes sparkled.
"Not yet, you should call them."
The boy went into the kitchen happily, "Mom, did you buy shrimps?" He took the brush and bowl excitedly, "I’ll call later, first soak the shrimps in salt water."
"Okay." Chloe Gable was also very happy, her son was back, she returned to the kitchen, soaking some mushrooms in hot water and continued slicing meat.
"Mom, why is my brother-in-law coming over? Is he coming specifically to see you?" The boy was quite curious.
"Don’t ask so many questions, he’s just coming over."
Prestige Group.
22nd floor, the sleek and elegant president’s office.
Adrian Lancaster sat in the office chair, Faye Turner half-leaning against the custom-made office desk.
Looking into each other’s eyes, he held her hand and gazed at her gently, "You really can’t remember anything?"
Just now, he was still excitedly and endlessly talking to her about kindergarten days, but Faye Turner listened in confusion.
"You often gave me half of your apple?" He grew anxious, looking at her with deep longing, "Don’t you remember?"
The girl shook her head innocently.
