When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 234: Everything Listens to Mrs. Lancaster
Faye Turner stood still and watched the couple coldly.
She couldn’t bear to see such chaos in her friend’s marriage because she herself longed for stability in marriage.
Adrian Lancaster noticed his wife’s change in expression and followed her gaze, having some impression of Dylan Shaw.
Not far away, Dylan Shaw sometimes held Vivian Sawyer, sometimes held her hand, looking very affectionate.
"President Lancaster, does our company allow such morally corrupt people to exist?" Faye Turned her gaze.
Adrian Lancaster inserted his hands in his pockets and raised an eyebrow.
"President Lancaster, do you think this kind of person can be devoted to the company when their mind is occupied with an affair?"
"Then according to Mrs. Lancaster’s opinion..." The man turned his gaze, "How should we handle it?"
"Fire him!" Faye stated bluntly, "Only then will I feel that the Prestige Group is a company with correct principles, and under the leadership of the morally upright President Lancaster, the future will be promising."
Adrian Lancaster thought of the recent harm he had caused her, and since Dylan Shaw’s position was not important, firing Ivy Jennings was a breeze.
Therefore, to please his wife, he agreed, "Fine, I’ll have the HR department handle it."
"Thank you, President Lancaster!" Faye Turner took his arm, collecting her gaze, "Shall we go?" Too lazy to teach Dylan Shaw a lesson.
She thought, as long as Dylan Shaw lost his job, he wouldn’t have that air of superiority, and when even basic needs become a problem, he wouldn’t have the heart to get tangled up with outside women.
People only indulge in desires after their needs are satisfied.
Three o’clock in the afternoon.
Faye Turner and Adrian Lancaster returned to the old residence, where Grandpa was very happy to see them, already waiting in the yard to welcome them.
"Back again, why do you bring gifts?"
"Just a small token, hoping Grandpa likes it!" Faye cheerfully put her arm around the old man and walked inside with him, "Grandpa, how has your health been lately?"
"Good, good, good. Ever since you got pregnant, Grandpa’s health has been better every day! Maybe I’ll even see your child get married!"
"You definitely can, Grandpa can live to be a hundred, no, not just a hundred!"
President Lancaster carried bags, following the two with no sense of presence, as if they were the real grandfather and granddaughter. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
After entering the living room, Faye Turner took out two exquisite small boxes from the bag, "Is mom in the backyard?"
"She is." The old man glanced at her hands, knowing she brought gifts for Eliza Vance as well, feeling gratified, "Go, go."
"Okay."
Faye Turner walked alone to the backyard and entered the Buddhist hall.
Since returning from The Azure Cloud Convent, Eliza Hayes’s mind was no longer as peaceful as it used to be.
"Hello, Miss Turner." Nanny Warren greeted the visitor, not daring to call her Mrs. in front of Eliza Hayes.
Eliza Hayes’s fingers paused on the Buddha beads and she opened her eyes.
"Mom, Nanny Warren, happy Mid-Autumn Festival." She held the box in her hand up to Eliza Hayes, offering one to her, "Mom, these are a pair of earrings. Adrian and I specially picked them out, hoping you will accept them."
Eliza Hayes did not immediately take them, nor hurriedly refuse, but slowly raised her gaze, for the first time seriously looking at this girl.
She unexpectedly had such beautiful eyes, dark as a pool, sincere yet glistening like rippling water.
Faye Turner smiled continuously under her mother-in-law’s gaze.
Eliza Hayes glanced at her, lowered her gaze to the box in her palm.
Faye Turner’s heart was thrilled, she held her breath waiting for her mother-in-law to accept, each second at this moment meant hope for the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship to soften.
