When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 194: Holding Her While Calling Another Woman’s Name
The young couple was unaware of Serena Sutton’s little gesture of going back to the old house to please the elders.
Grandfather, of course, didn’t think much about it, but Eliza Hayes understood it quite well. Still, she wouldn’t call her son to tell him. Such a terrible mother-son relationship!
Night.
Faye Turner lay on her side next to Adrian Lancaster. She found it a bit hard to sleep, possibly having some early pregnancy reactions, thinking of Rachel Sherman and Dylan Shaw’s marriage, gradually losing sleep.
"What do you think love is? All those years we went through together, all the beauty she once witnessed, are they all fake? Are they just illusions?"
Initially, she wanted to talk to Adrian Lancaster about it.
But thinking about his work stress, and how busy he’s been lately, she didn’t want to disturb him. Even though she wanted to turn over, she held back without moving.
Faye Turner closed her eyes, unable to stop her mind from replaying the bits and pieces of her time with Adrian Lancaster over the days...
She was actually married, and to Adrian Lancaster, no less. Just thinking about it felt unbelievable.
Faye Turner felt that heaven had been very kind to her, granting her a child.
She didn’t know how long it had been, or how long she’d been thinking, until she was almost entering a state of sleep, when she vaguely heard the man next to her whisper "Sienna"...
Faye Turner was instantly wide awake and opened her eyes.
"Sienna..."
Soon after, Adrian Lancaster turned over in his sleep and held her close!
The girl’s heart trembled.
The man tightly embraced her, "Sienna, please don’t leave me..."
His humble tone caused a faint pain in Faye Turner’s heart, erasing any trace of sleepiness.
But she didn’t push him away, nor did she wake him up. She simply breathed silently, tears slowly forming in her eyes, not even sure why she was sad.
There was never any love to begin with.
Adrian Lancaster seemed to be having a nightmare, like a child who had lost his beloved and was deeply hurt, "Sienna..." His voice trembled slightly, holding Faye even tighter.
Faye took a deep breath silently, her back pressed tightly against his chest, her heart aching more with each mention of "Sienna."
Even though she knew he didn’t love her, she still felt a trace of sadness.
That night, Faye Turner didn’t sleep a wink.
The next morning, Adrian Lancaster stood at the bedside putting on a shirt, as if nothing had happened, while the girl lay silently in the bed watching him...
As he fastened his cufflinks, he inadvertently noticed she was awake too. His movements paused, and their eyes met.
Faye Turner asked him, "Who is Sienna?"
The man’s brow furrowed slightly, his expression darkening as if she had touched a taboo.
She turned on the light, "Last night you held me, calling this name continuously."
Adrian Lancaster’s chest tightened. He truly had no memory of it.
She waited for his response, but he turned his gaze and left, feeling no need to explain to her.
Faye Turner lay on her side in bed, feeling a pain in her heart, suddenly holding her breath.
She didn’t even know why she was sad. Clearly, the two of them were just together for convenience, there was never any emotion involved.
She hated herself for being so unaware!
Could it be... that she’s fallen for him?
Until today, Monday.
The buzz around Adrian Lancaster’s romance was still trending, the photos taken in the food stall that day still prominent on the front page headlines.
Comments on this relationship have already exceeded ten million.
The public was trying to uncover the woman’s identity but couldn’t even find a name. Someone had a run-in with her at The Fairy Tale Nook and even took a photo of her.
Someone called her Talia Tully. This was also exposed, causing many to rush to The Fairy Tale Nook to check it out... the threshold was practically worn down.
Faye Turner came downstairs, stunned when she saw the Lamborghini parked there.
Adrian Lancaster was already in the car, the door open, Mr. Kerr standing by the car waiting for her, "Good morning, Miss Turner."
Faye Turner was a bit dazed, only then recalling that she had agreed to go to work with him from now on.
