When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 105: Mrs. Lancaster’s Concern
In the big office of the 11th-floor design department, there haven’t been many people coming to work lately; most designers are out seeking inspiration.
Or they lock themselves in a quiet environment and immerse themselves in creation.
Faye Turner, of course, didn’t come either; today she went to find traditional medicine, returning to the familiar Fenmore Town where she grew up.
Behind the eaves, by the creek, there are always some inconspicuous little plants growing freely, only those who understand know their value.
Her trip was quite fruitful; she pulled out a plant of Atractylodes, stripped away the leaves on the spot, leaving only the roots and stems.
Then she washed away the mud in the creek; after drying, it could be used as medicine.
She also picked some unknown small fruits, brown, red, white, and some plant leaves, filling a bag that she brought back to the city.
These past two days, while developing the second round of medicine for Adrian Lancaster, she also made sure to work on her ’A Glimpse for a Thousand Years’ series.
Busy and fulfilling.
When Adrian Lancaster returned home from work, she had timed it to prepare dinner for him, then waited to dine together.
Her grandfather, far away at the old house, watched this scene on the tablet, showing a very satisfied smile.
He wasn’t mistaken, Faye is a good girl!
Aqua Flora Residences, 28th floor, at Adrian Lancaster’s home.
He and Faye Turner sat face to face at the dining table. Today’s dishes were different from yesterday’s, with sweet and sour ribs, stir-fried chili with pork, and steamed eggs.
Adrian Lancaster, used to gourmet dishes, increasingly liked her homemade stir-fries, always having two bowls of rice.
This made Faye Turner very happy.
Just after dinner, the man put down his bowl and chopsticks, saying to her, "Ivy Jennings left Prestige Group Headquarters."
Faye Turner looked up in astonishment, stunned for a few seconds, "Did you make her leave?"
"She resigned voluntarily, I just didn’t keep her," he replied calmly.
After hearing this, instead of being happy, she felt a bit worried, "Will her departure affect your work?"
Hearing this, Adrian Lancaster was momentarily stunned; she was concerned about him?
This woman is really profound!
Quickly, he snapped back and replied, "No impact."
"..." Then she didn’t know what else to say, she thought, surely there is some impact, right? Ivy might hold company secrets.
But since he was unwilling to talk about it further, she didn’t press on, considering that this matter might have something to do with her.
Faye Turner didn’t want to impact his work.
Following their usual practice, since Faye Turner cooked dinner, Adrian Lancaster would wash the dishes, so he dutifully began to clean up.
"Let me help you," Faye Turner followed him in, "You’ve had a long day at work, it must’ve been tiring."
He found himself momentarily dazed by her words.
Everyone sees him as glamorous, holding Prestige, a myth in the financial circle no one can match, but no one ever understands his hardships.
Faye Turner knew they didn’t come together because of love.
But both had reached an agreement never to get divorced in this lifetime.
So she wanted to try to fall in love with him, and also to let him fall in love with her.
Only this way can a child be born and grow in a loving family.
In this world, the majority of marriages are actually unrelated to love; the probability of a partner being the same as the loved one is really small.
After washing the dishes, Faye Turner said to him, "Why don’t you go take a shower first, I’ve finished developing the second stage of the medicine, I’ll apply it for you for the first time later."
"Alright."
Adrian Lancaster cooperated because he wanted to have more faith in this woman’s medical skills so she could treat his father.
Actually now, he has garnered a bit of trust in her.
But his father’s condition is special and can’t afford any negligence.
