WHAT! I Have To Kill Heaven's Son To Live!-Chapter 180: Saving The Favorite Supporting Character (2)
Chapter 180: Chapter 180: Saving The Favorite Supporting Character (2)
The group leader and three of his subordinates stepped closer—just a few meters from where Reon lay bound to the tree.
"Now that I get a good look at him... he’s actually quite handsome," the leader remarked with a smirk, eyeing Reon with interest.
"He’ll fetch a fine price from those twisted old noble ladies who like to keep pretty boys as pets."
"So we’re taking him to the base, right, Big Brother?" one of the bandits asked from behind.
"Yeah... if he behaves. Otherwise, we kill him right here," the leader replied coldly, his voice sharp as a blade.
He then pointed toward Reon’s hand.
"Jou Min, grab his Spatial Ring first. Even a small one with just a three-meter capacity can fetch at least 300 gold coins."
"Understood, Big Brother," Jou Min nodded and crouched down beside Reon’s left hand.
The ring looked ordinary—just a plain band of dark metal, nothing fancy. Jou Min reached for it and gave it a gentle tug.
But to his surprise it didn’t budge.
’Huh? Why isn’t it coming off?’ Jou Min frowned, trying again, this time with more force.
Still nothing.
’Idiot... even I couldn’t remove that ring, nor uncover its mystery. And you think some petty bandits could?’ Reon thought, suppressing a smirk.
Jou Min gritted his teeth, trying everything—twisting, yanking, pulling with both hands. No matter what he did, the ring wouldn’t move an inch.
Finally, he turned back with frustration on his face.
"Big Brother, this Spatial Ring... it won’t come off!"
"What?! You can’t even take off a Spatial Ring?" the group leader roared, glaring at Jou Min. "And you call yourself a bandit? Pathetic!"
"Hahaha! What an idiot you are, Jou Min!" jeered the one-eyed bandit as he stepped forward. "Move aside—I’ll handle it."
"Sure, go ahead," Jou Min grumbled, backing away. "But don’t cry when you fail too."
"Yeah, yeah," the one-eyed man scoffed, crouching down with smug confidence.
He gripped the ring and pulled with everything he had—but no matter how hard he tried, it wouldn’t budge.
Sweat formed on his brow as he kept yanking and twisting.
’Hahh... hahh... what the hell is wrong with this ring?’ he cursed inwardly, breath growing heavier.
"What happened to all that bravado?" Jou Min taunted with a smirk.
The one-eyed man scowled. ’Damn it... I’m not going to humiliate myself like this... Fine then—if I can’t take the ring, I’ll just cut off the whole damn finger.’
With a snarl, he drew a dagger from his waist and lunged toward Reon’s hand.
But before the blade could even touch him—
BOOM!
His head exploded like a ripe melon struck with a hammer.
Reon, who had quietly gathered Spiritual Qi in his right hand, flicked it with a subtle motion—sending a lethal burst straight into the bandit’s skull.
Blood gushed from his crushed skull as his lifeless body crumpled to the ground with a dull thud.
"A-Ahhh! W-What just happened?!" Jou Min recoiled, eyes wide with horror.
The group leader tensed, his hand snapping to the hilt of his sword.
"Nin Shin’s head... it just—just exploded!" a third bandit stammered behind them, trembling.
"It was him," the leader growled, eyes narrowing as he pointed toward Reon. "He’s awake. Stay sharp—he’s dangerous."
"B-But... he’s still tied up! There’s no need to panic!" the third bandit protested.
Reon smirked, eyes glowing with cold amusement.
"Heh... so I’ve been found out, huh?" he said softly. "Well, no point in pretending anymore. I’ve already pinpointed the exact location of the Illusion Formation that’s hiding your base."
’I sent Cloudia ahead with Mei Lin... she’s already uncovered everything and relayed it to me through our Spiritual Link,’ Reon thought, his smile widening.
With a slow, deliberate motion, he channeled Spiritual Qi into his hands. The thick ropes binding him shredded like paper—fluttering to the ground in pieces.
"H-How is that possible?!" Jou Min gasped, stumbling back. "He ripped those ropes apart like they were nothing!"
"I see... he can project Spiritual Qi from his hands. That means—he’s a C-Rank Adventurer," the group leader muttered, eyes narrowing. "The bastard tricked us."
"W-What? A C-Rank? Then... isn’t he dangerous?" Jou Min stammered, panic creeping into his voice.
"Calm down. Don’t panic." The leader’s tone sharpened as he gripped his sword.
"My strength is equal to Wei Lin—the so-called Fierce Prince. That means I’m C-Rank too. If we attack together, he won’t stand a chance."
"Hahaha! As expected of Big Brother!" the third bandit laughed nervously.
"Now—attack him! All at once!" the leader barked.
"Yes, Big Brother!" Jou Min and the other one responded in unison, surging forward.
Reon stood calm and unmoving. He didn’t speak.
Instead, he raised both hands—and with a smooth motion, channeled his Spiritual Qi.
Whoosh!
A dark, ominous aura burst to life, cloaking both of his hands.
’This aura... having it in my hands is really convenient,’ Reon thought, glancing down with a faint smirk.
The first to strike was Jou Min, slashing with his curved sword—
But Reon effortlessly sidestepped.
"So freaking slow," he muttered.
BOOM!
"AGHHHH!"
Reon’s fist drove into Jou Min’s face with brutal force, sending him flying into a tree.
His face caved in. Bones shattered. His nose split. Blood erupted in a flood.
He hit the tree with a sickening crunch—and didn’t get back up.
Dead on impact.
"You bastard! How dare you kill Jou Min!" the third bandit screamed, charging with his iron club.
Reon narrowed his eyes.
"So... you’re the one who hit me with that club earlier."
"Hah! Yeah, and I’ll do it again—take this, bastard!"
He swung hard—but Reon ducked with ease.
"I see," Reon said coldly.
Then—
BAM!
"AGHHHH!"
Reon’s punch shot upward, smashing into the man’s chin. His body lifted from the ground like a broken doll.
BOOM!
"GAHHHH!"
Before he even hit the ground, Reon spun and kicked him in the gut, sending him crashing into a tree.
Blood spurted violently from his mouth and nose as his limbs twitched weakly.
Reon walked forward, his expression emotionless.
"You’re too weak. And with this little strength... you dared to prey on the innocent?"
"P-Pleashe... fooorgive... me..." the bandit begged, his jaw dislocated and face mangled.
Reon stopped.
"You seek forgiveness?" he whispered coldly.
"Then die quietly... that’s the only way you’ll earn it."
CRACK!
He slammed his foot down, crushing the man’s skull into the earth.
The remains of his head splattered like fruit underfoot.
Reon stood still for a moment.
"Now then... your leader—where is he?" he asked, turning sharply. frёeωebɳovel.com
He let out a slow sigh as his gaze shifted forward.
"Tch! That bastard ran... left his men to die."
A cold glint flickered in his gaze.
"But... does he truly think he can escape me?"
