What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?-Chapter 964: Returning Back To The Border Fort
I managed to escort those travellers back to their group who had set up camp at the same place I had first met them.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Our ’client’ repeated, bowing her head as many times as she was thanking me. "If there is anything you need at all, please do not hesitate to look for us! I’ll make sure that we accommodate Lady Nilm as much as possible!"
Incidentally… A number of those travellers who I have rescued were doing their best to press their heads into the ground as much as possible.
That’s because while I was escorting them back, they were talking quite a lot of shit.
Despite the fact that they saw me decimate an entire fort’s worth of bandits on my own, they were still whining about how I didn’t prepare something to ferry them back to their companions.
Apparently, amongst them were a few minor nobles or they at least came from a noble family so they were expecting a carriage or something to be prepared for them to escape in.
But well… Seeing that Bob was still unconscious, we had to trek all the way back here since he couldn’t summon any mounts for us so I didn’t bring him along with us either.
Thankfully, it wasn’t really that far and it took us only a few hours.
Ok… That was a lie, it was actually pretty far…
That’s why they kept complaining about it the entire time and I just kept my mouth shut.
Katsuki looked like she wanted to say something but I shook my head at her so she chose to stay silent as well.
Which was what led to the current situation in front of us where the people finally realised that I was the Young Mistress of the Nilm Family and started apologising for their attitude throughout the journey back.
I simply ignored them and just told the leader of the caravan to be more careful in the future before flying off with Katsuki, my Inugami maid once again being carried by Eins.
As for Bob, I sent him in the direction of the border fort with Zwei and the others who were transporting the prisoners as well.
To disguise them, I made them transform themselves to look different from each other by using the maids in our house as reference.
"Mistress… Should I arrange for something to happen to those nobles?" Katsuki asked as we were flying.
"Eh? There’s no need to, Katsuki. I mean… Those people were locked up and thought they were going to be branded as slaves and then sold away so they must have been understandably stressed. Although… I guess I wouldn’t say no if they were to send us some sweets as compensation, ehehe~"
"Understood Mistress. I’ll make sure they get the message."
How reliable~
The sun was already setting and I angled myself to return back to the inn we were staying at. Read new chapters at novelbuddy
That lord we were waiting for should only show up two days from now so we still had some time to kill.
Which was why I decided to just fly over the fort just to see if there was anything different about it as compared to the day time.

But when I was coming close to the fort, something suddenly dove from above to stop in front of me.
"Hold it right there! Identify yourself!"
I flared my wings to hover in the air, surprised at the sudden appearance of the person in front of me.
It seems like this is another Meslatar and he was wearing light armour while wielding a shield and spear.
I thought he might be another bandit and I tensed up preparing for another fight before the next words came out of his mouth.
"Are you trying to cross the border illegally?! Who are you?! Hands where I can see them!"
I turned to Katsuki and tilted my head quizzically.
"He’s part of the border patrol, Mistress. You are not allowed to just fly past the border between two Kingdoms under normal circumstances without going through a checkpoint…"
Ah… Right… I think I heard about something like that before but I completely forgot about it…
I then leaned over and whispered, "But we crossed to the other side without any problems though?"
"Yes. That’s why I said under normal circumstances, Mistress. It’s still difficult to catch everyone flying over but it’s not allowed. And I believe the border patrol was informed that you would be flying over earlier so they let you pass."
Ok… I get it now…
I turned back to the patrol guard who was eyeing me cautiously, "Sorry, I didn’t realise we were that close to the border already since it’s so dark out, you see? If you could point me to the checkpoint, we’ll go there right away."
The patrol guard raised an eyebrow but I guess he must have decided to give me the benefit of doubt and beckoned to me, "Follow me then. I’ll lead you there."
He dove towards the ground towards the fort, looking back at me from time to time to make sure I was following him.
Eventually we reached the front of the fort where a line of people were lined up waiting to enter through the fort.
He pointed at the line, "Do you have any cargo?"
I patted myself, "Does it look like I have any?"
I mean… There’s my Pack of Folding but he doesn’t need to know that.
"Then you can just go to the front. Follow me."
He led us to the front of the gates and I realised that my Shadow Guards were all there, standing in the queue for people with cargo and waiting for their turn to enter the fort.
It was a pretty large group of them and there were about thirty or so prisoners that were being watched by twenty of my Shadow Guards so that was a large group.
The numbers weren’t what drew the attention since there were groups that were bigger in number than them. It was the fact that all of them were wearing maid uniforms dragging along a large group of bandits that were all tied up.
I paused in my steps and the patrol guard also stopped almost immediately to raise an eyebrow at me.
I pointed at my Shadow Guards, "Actually, I’m with them."
He looked at them and frowned, "Are you sure?"
Seriously? Eins is right over there behind Katsuki and wearing the exact same maid uniform you know?
Instead of answering him, I simply walked up to them and they turned to bow at me.
"Master."
He looked me up and down before shrugging, "Fine then… Don’t cause any more trouble now or else we might need to lock you up."
Geez… What’s with the attitude?
I joined the line with my Shadow Guards and the bandits inched away from me, clearly terrified of me for some reason.
When it was our turn to go through the gate, the guard doing the inspection frowned at the sight of us before gesturing towards us, "Where’s the leader?"
Since I’m already here…
I stepped forward, "Right here."
"Importing slaves are you? Do you know the rules?"
Err… They aren’t slaves but… You know what? They’re all chained up like that anyway right? So I guess he’s not exactly wrong… And I don’t really want to explain this to him since I’m going to bring them to Unerolia anyway.
I shook my head at him and he gestured towards the gate, "In that case, we’ll have to orientate you. A guide will be inside, just follow them. Off you go now."
Well… That was easy? They didn’t even bother checking us… But what’s this about a guide? Are they going to bring them to some slave shop?
Wait… Now I remember that the slave shops all said something about only people with invitations or specific groups could enter them so I didn’t actually get to see what those slave shops were like.
Maybe this might grant me access to them so I can take a look inside?
I mean… It’s not like I’m really desperate to see inside those shops but I’m just really curious about it…
So I guess I’ll just shut up and see where this goes for now.
We stepped past the gates where I spotted a bare chested and muscled young man leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.
He took one look at our group and immediately pushed himself away from the wall to approach us.
He eyed me for a moment before asking, "New group?"
I simply nodded.
He huffed, "Always someone new… Like as if we’re not getting enough already… Just what is he… Nevermind. Follow me then. Keep those slaves of yours in check, got it?"
Ok, for some reason… I’m getting a really odd feeling about all of this… Is there something going on with the slave shops or is this all just a normal interaction between a slave trader and the slave shops here?
Hmm… Since I’m already here anyway, might as well just go take a look right?
Who knows, this might even be connected to the city lord or something so let’s check it out~
