"Mom, Ah Hao and I are doing well," Wen Shufei said with a headache as soon as she heard Mrs. Jing nagging.
"I’m going to take a shower; maybe you should watch some TV," Wen Shufei said as she headed back to her room.
Mrs. Jing snorted internally, clearly seeing her daughter-in-law’s impatience, which was unexpected as everything seemed fine before the marriage.
Wen Shufei wasn’t really misbehaving; she just disliked Mrs. Jing’s nagging. She came from a distinguished background and matched Jing Hao well in social status.
Now newly married, Wen Shufei and Jing Hao got along well, but she was also a decisive person with a strong career orientation. Proud and firm at heart, she felt that Mrs. Jing disliked her and always picked faults with her; thus, Wen Shufei disliked dealing with Mrs. Jing.

Since Father Jing’s return, Mrs. Jing had transformed into a different person, as if her previous mood swings had vanished. Wen Shufei finally understood why Mrs. Jing had been acting so strangely; it was because her husband wasn’t around.
With this new understanding, Wen Shufei managed to cohabit peacefully with Mrs. Jing, and sometimes, they got along quite harmoniously.
Wen Shufei could tell, and so could Feiling, but Mrs. Jing still hoped that both daughters-in-law would get pregnant soon, while she was still young enough to help care for the children.
Even though Feiling was more attentive, Mrs. Jing favored Wen Shufei more due to her prestigious family background.
Feiling didn’t mind this, actually feeling relieved that Mrs. Jing was now focusing on her older sister-in-law, giving Feiling some breathing room.
After the wedding, Feiling planned a honeymoon trip with Jing Yao and would depart in a couple of days.
On Xia Xiao’s side, she prepared some cooling oil and essential medicines for Feiling to pack in her suitcase.
However, it’s not that she was entirely hands-off; besides releasing albums annually, participating in concerts, and joining events, Li Manzi had other engagements.
Many celebrities have their own ventures, and although Li Manzi considered it, she felt clueless, capable of only composing, writing, and singing.

Yet, Xia Xiao felt she had overlooked something but couldn’t remember what, patted her forehead, and realized that her memory was indeed declining with age.
