After coming out of the room, I let out a sigh of relief.

It really was stressful being in the same room as Liu Ao Xue’s father, so I was happy that I had a reason to leave.

Once we were out, I turned to look at my lackeys.

Inside of the room, Liu Ao Xue and Elder Tian sat there in silence as they looked at Liu Han, Liu Ao Xue’s father.

He had been silent even though everyone had already left the room.

With the look that was on his face, it was as if he found it hard to say what he wanted to say.

In the end, Liu Ao Xue was the one that broke the silence by saying, "Just tell us what you want to tell us already. Stop keeping us in suspense like this."

Liu Han gave a sigh before saying, "I came here because something is wrong with the Great Elder."

"Huh?" Both Elder Tian and Liu Ao Xue were surprised to hear this.

The Great Elder that Liu Han referred to wasn’t the Great Elder of the Falling Star Sect, but rather the second grade sect that he was the sect master of.

This Great Elder was one of the two peak experts of that sect, one of the two Rebirth Realm Experts that they had. The other one was the ancestor of their sect, but that person was even harder to contact than the Great Elder.

Elder Tian deeply knitted his brows before saying, "For the sect master to say this, it must mean that there’s something seriously wrong."

Liu Ao Xue nodded in agreement before asking in a worried voice, "What happened to Grandpa Yao?"

Liu Han gave a sigh before saying, "The Great Elder was injured by the backlash of his cultivation during one of his closed door sessions and has suffered serious internal injuries. While he was able to stabilize his injuries, it doesn’t mean that he’s out of danger yet."

Both Elder Tian and Liu Ao Xue had worried looks on their faces, but Elder Tian pointed out, "Doesn’t the sect have a treasury just for this reason? Why not take out the precious herbs in the treasury to help the Great Elder?"

Liu Ao Xue nodded in agreement to this.

Liu Han gave another sigh before saying, "You think that we haven’t tried that yet? It’s a very serious injury that the Great Elder suffered and we don’t have anything strong enough to help the Great Elder recover." Then after a pause, his eyes turned a bit dark as he said, "It’s not something that we can make public, so we can’t go to the other sects for help. If we could, I’m sure that we would be able to find something."

Then in a softer voice, he added, "I’m sure that the Medicine King Valley would have something..."

The two of them had understanding looks when they heard this.

This was an issue of safety for the entire sect, so it wasn’t something that could be handled rashly.

Liu Han said with one more sigh, "I’ve been traveling around, finding all our contacts to see if I can find something to help the Great Elder, but I haven’t found a single thing yet. I was in the area, so I wanted to drop in and try my luck, but it was just a whim. You don’t have to worry about this, I’ll figure out a way."

After saying this, Liu Han even took out a piece of paper that had a drawing on it.
