Chapter 336: You owe it to her

Bing Xin and I were both surprised to see Bing Xin’s mother doing this.

I didn’t know what to do, but Bing Xin didn’t remain stunned for long as she went forward to hug her mother.

She grabbed her firmly and said, "Mom, you can’t go anywhere. You’re still not recovered yet, you still need to rest."

There was a complicated look that appeared on Bing Xin’s mother’s face when she heard this.

She looked down at Bing Xin and then said, "Silly girl, let me go. I’m doing this for your own good."

"No." Bing Xin said in a firm voice without saying anything else.

It turned into a tug of war match between the two of them without them saying anything.

One of them was trying to get out of bed while the other one was holding her down.

It seemed like neither side was gaining the advantage, though that was strange since Bing Xin should be stronger than her mother with her cultivation level. She had worked hard to gain power, but it would be strange if she wasn’t even strong enough to stop her mother.

The reason she wasn’t winning was because she was holding back.

Bing Xin was afraid to use too much strength and hurt her mother who had just recovered.

After a while, I gave a sigh and said, "Why are you insisting on leaving?"

Bing Xin and her mother were both surprised to hear me say this and that allowed for a break to happen in their tug of war.

When they came back to their senses, Bing Xin’s mother suddenly broke free of her daughter’s grip and started moving to stand up.

However, I just stepped forward and stood in front of her to stop her from leaving.

Bing Xin’s mother was surprised to see this, but then she suddenly bowed her head instead of trying to push past me.

I raised a brow, but I didn’t move out of the way. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

With her head bowed, Bing Xin’s mother said, "Young master, thank you for taking care of my daughter. Though I really don’t have the right to call myself this girl’s mother, I still ask that you take care of her."

I didn’t say anything as I looked at her with a confused look, not understanding what her intentions were.

Bing Xin’s mother didn’t seem to mind this as she still had her head bowed, so she couldn’t see what the expression on my face was.

She just continued by saying, "Please allow me to leave and never appear in front of you again. I was the one that caused this girl much distress in the period of time where I lost myself and I can’t guarantee that I won’t do the same in the future. So I have no right to stay here and ruin her life again. She has had the fortune to meet someone as magnanimous as the young master, I hope that you will take care of her in the future."

Once she finished speaking, Bing Xin’s mother slowly raised her head and went to stand up.

Bing Xin was so stunned that she didn’t know what to do, so she didn’t stop her.

However, I suddenly raised a hand and put it on Bing Xin’s mother’s shoulder before saying, "So you’re saying that you’re scared."

Bing Xin’s mother was surprised and confused when she heard this.

She looked at me with this look on her face as she waited for me to explain what I meant by this, especially since I had a hand on her shoulder and wasn’t letting her leave.

I gave a sigh as I said, "You’re saying that you’re scared to be this girl’s mother again, so you want to run from the responsibilities. You’re scared since you don’t think that you have what it takes to be her mother."

Bing Xin’s mother trembled when she heard this, but she didn’t refute it.

After all, this was indeed what she was thinking.

Bing Xin had shown that she was more than capable of taking care of herself and she had people that she could rely on. A mother like her wasn’t someone that should come and ruin her chances for the future.

But more importantly, she felt that she was too dirty of a mother for Bing Xin to have.

I let out another sigh before saying, "Don’t you think that this is what you owe her? After putting her through all of that, don’t you think that this is the least that you can do for her?"

Bing Xin’s mother was shocked to hear this before looking at me with a complicated look.

It was like she was saying...

"Can I really be a mother?"

I shook my head before saying, "Look at her and you’ll have your answer."

Bing Xin’s mother slowly looked at Bing Xin and seeing the way that she looked at her, her heart started to shake.

Bing Xin was looking at her with a look that seemed to be saying, "Please don’t leave me."

When Bing Xin’s mother saw that, she really couldn’t help finding that her will was collapsing.

Though she didn’t feel that she was a good mother, though she was afraid of taking responsibility for Bing Xin, that didn’t mean that she wanted to give up Bing Xin.

This was her precious daughter, it was the reason why she had raised her all those years before she had lost her mind.

The two of them looked at each other in silence for a bit before Bing Xin’s mother slowly said, "Can I really be your mother?"

Bing Xin’s eyes filled with tears when she heard this before she gave a firm nod, "From now until forever, you will always be my mother."

It didn’t take long before the two of them were both crying and holding each other.

Seeing this, I took my hand back and just watched them in silence.

This was what both of them needed to move on.
