Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 254: Blood Puppet Sect
When the dust had settled, there wasn’t a single mercenary who was standing.
It was even hard to find a single mercenary who was still alive since the one that had thrown the pink flames hadn’t held back at all.
Many of the mercenaries and the bear mounts had been burnt to a crisp with the pink flames.
The smell wasn’t a good one, it was the smell of something that had been completely burnt to a crisp. It was a smell that seemed like it was very toxic and wasn’t good for the body to breathe in.
But the senior brothers and sisters didn’t seem to mind it at all as they just stood there in shock.
It was clear by the looks on their faces that there wasn’t a single one of them who had expected to see something like this.
They snapped out of it in the end as they realized that it wasn’t over yet.
Even though they were injured, they started making their way through the corpses and flames. They pulled out their weapons and stabbed at the various corpses that were on the ground.
They were cleaning up to make sure that no one was hiding among the corpses.
As for the leader of the group and the five Core Formation Realm Experts, they were seriously injured, but they were still alive. However, they were currently surrounded in either pink flames or law energy, so they couldn’t move an inch.
Once they had been taken down, I jumped out to land in front of the leader of the mercenary group.
I was the one that had thrown the law energy at the leader of the mercenary group in the end, so I was actually the one that was closest to him.
After landing, the leader of the mercenary group immediately asked, "Who are you? Why are you inter..."
He didn’t get a chance to say anything as a sudden hand slapped his face.
It wasn’t my hand, but rather a hand that was made of earth laws.
With the control over the laws that the system gave me, it was easy for me to do something like this.
The leader of the mercenary group immediately fell silent when this happened.
He looked up at me in shock, as if he couldn’t believe what just happened, but I didn’t care about him at all.
The lackeys had rushed over and fell to one knee behind me before saying together, "Young master, we have accomplished our mission."
I was a bit surprised to see them acting this way since they were just too coordinated for this to be something that they did randomly. I could tell that they must have practiced something like this before with the way that they all fell to one knee together.
I didn’t know when they had time to practice this, but I had to admit that it was quite cool.
Since they had gone this far, naturally I had to play along as the young master.
I just gave a simple nod before saying, "Good job."
They all bowed their heads when they heard this, but I could see out of the corner of my eyes that they had happy looks on their faces hearing this.
Once they finished clearing out the battlefield, the senior brothers and sisters came over as well.
Liu Ao Xue was the one that went forward to check if the senior brothers and sisters were alright. All of them revealed faint smiles and assured Liu Ao Xue that they were fine before turning to Mu Bao Bao who was standing there with an indifferent look.
"Thank you."
That was all that they had to say to Mu Bao Bao.
Mu Bao Bao turned her head away from them, but I could see that there was an embarrassed look on her face that she didn’t want to show the senior brothers and sisters.
In the end, we all knew that she was soft on the inside and just didn’t want to show it.
One of the senior brothers named Senior Brother Yue who was the leader of this group of senior brothers and sisters came forward to ask me, "Junior brother, what are you planning to do with these people?"
There was a slight chill in his calm voice as he said this, making his feelings on this matter clear.
I knew what he wanted me to say, but I didn’t say it since there was something else that I needed to ask before this.
I didn’t answer this question and just looked at the leader of the mercenary group before saying, "You’ll answer a few of my questions. If you answer them properly, I’ll spare you and let you go free."
The leader of the mercenary group had a shocked look on his face when he heard this.
At the same time, the senior brothers and sisters deeply knitted their brows.
There was no hiding the displeasure that was on their face and if it was anyone else, they surely would have lost their tempers with them. It was only because it was me that they remained silent, but I could feel their gazes on my back.
Even then, I just ignored them as I looked at the leader of the mercenary group, waiting for an answer.
In the end, the leader of the mercenary group gave a nod in response to what I had said before saying, "What are the questions?"
I gave a nod before asking, "Which sect were you planning to turn to after you slaughtered our senior brothers and sisters?"
It wasn’t just the leader of the mercenary group who was surprised by this question, the senior brothers and sisters were surprised as well before revealing confused looks as they didn’t understand why there was a need to ask this.
But I didn’t care about any of this as I just narrowed my eyes to look at the leader of the mercenary group.
I could see that he was hesitating, but under the pressure that I put on him, he eventually answered.
"The Blood Puppet Sect."
