Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 234: Flame Wolf Mercenaries (2)
When they landed, the girl had a shocked look on her face.
She wasn’t the only one that had a shocked look on their face, the rest of the people who were inside of the wall of flames also had shocked looks on their faces.
It was as if they couldn’t understand what just happened.
Though to be fair, it would be hard for them to understand what just happened based on their common sense.
After all, the things that Lin Fan did exceeded normal common sense by not just a small amount.
It completely warped common sense.
It was only those that followed him that were able to follow along, but that was only because their common sense had been warped by him. They could no longer operate on common sense since it had been warped by him.
That was why the lackeys could feel sympathy for those people that were just staring on in a daze right now.
I didn’t care about that at all since there was something else that we had to deal with.
The reason why I had the lackeys come into the wall of fire this time was because there were just too many wolves.
It wouldn’t be good if we were to allow these wolves to scatter in all directions since the lackeys wouldn’t be able to reach them all in time. It was better to draw these wolves in and then take them out in one go since that would minimize the number of wolves that scattered.
Since they were aggressive enough to attack people, it wasn’t a good idea to let them wander too much or others might get hurt.
Not anyone that I knew, but it would leave a bad taste in my mouth if someone got hurt because I was careless.
So I couldn’t just let the lackeys fight the wolves and risk letting them escape.
Once I was certain that I had the attention of the wolves, I dropped the fire wall and prepared to face them.
However...
The moment that the flame wall dropped, all of the wolves that had been snarling at the flame wall suddenly stopped.
All of these wolves had been snarling as if they were prepared to attack whatever was behind this flame wall. But the moment that it actually dropped and they saw what was behind the wall, they stopped.
All of them just stood there in a daze, as if they had been completely shocked by what they saw.
The strange thing was that they were all looking at me.
I could see it clearly and I could feel their gazes on me, it was clear that all of these wolves were looking at me.
But why were they looking at me like this?
I could tell from their gazes that they were very interested in me, as if they saw something in me that attracted them very much. Though I just couldn’t figure out what it was that attracted these wolves like this.
That was until I suddenly remembered something.
Right, I had a special title that allowed me to affect spirit beasts like this.
It was the reason why I had been able to stop all of those spirit beasts that the demonic cultivator controlled. It was also the reason why Mu Bao Bao was still following me after all this time.
The only reason that this special title hadn’t been activated before was because the wolves from before never got to see me.
I had put up the flame wall when I saved the red haired girl, so the wolves were never able to see me before the lackeys took care of them all.
If they were able to see me, perhaps they would have stopped fighting just like these wolves...
I couldn’t help feeling a bit sorry for them, but that was just the circle of life in this cultivation world.
Since the title had activated, that meant that there was no need for me to be so wary of these wolves anymore.
Instead of raising my hand to gather the flames again, I put that hand down and started moving towards the wolves. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
The lackeys were completely caught off guard when they saw this and wanted to come forward with me, but I just raised my hand to stop them before heading towards the wolves.
The wolves weren’t wary at all when they saw me approach them, they even seemed like they wanted to come forward to greet me as well. The ones that they were wary of were the ones that were behind me.
So they just waited for me to come over.
One of the wolves came forward as the representative of the other wolves.
If I had to guess, this was most likely the leader of this pack.
After all, this wolf was much bigger and had a sleeker coat than the other wolves.
At the same time, I could tell that this wolf was in the Foundation Realm.
It was one of the few Foundation Realm wolves in this pack.
After coming forward, I raised my hand towards it and waited for it to react.
The wolf leader looked at my hand in silence for a bit before coming forward to press its nose up against my palm.
I patted the wolf leader on the head before turning back to give everyone an ok sign.
At the same time, the wolf leader suddenly gave a howl that the rest of the pack followed before coming forward towards me.
It seemed like they wanted to surround me, but they didn’t do it to attack me.
Instead, they all came up to me and then turned around to present their stomachs to me like they wanted me to pet them. They had come forward to show their submission towards me.
I happily petted all of the wolves on the stomach before turning to look at everyone with a smile on my face.
However, all that I was met with were looks of shock.
That even included the lackeys and the two girls.
