Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 227: Sparring again
Another thing that I did during this time was test out my new power.
I had already tested it out against the young geniuses from the other sects, but there was something else that I wanted to do.
There was something that was common in the cultivation novels that I had read in my past life.
It was fighting in a sect tournament and sparring with the disciples of the same sect.
Though in most cases, that usually was the result of some kind of grudge between fellow disciples.
But that wasn’t the case for the Star Peak Sect.
In fact, it was hard to find anyone in the Star Peak Sect with a grudge against me...
Well, an actual grudge that was filled with hatred.
There were certainly some small misgivings over the way that I acted like a prodigal, but that was just to be expected. After all, it wasn’t as if I would ever stop being a prodigal, so it was bound to happen.
So instead, I just simply asked the seniors to spar with me.
There was some hesitation since everyone had clearly heard the rumours about how strong I had become, but there were still those that were willing to fight.
No matter which world it was, there were people that wanted to pursue strength and would do what they could to become stronger. Namely, they would choose to fight those that were considered stronger than them to push themselves.
That was what I had become, even though I had a lower level of cultivation compared to the rest of them.
"Junior brother, you’ll have to go easy on us."
That was what they said, but it was clear that they were looking forward to a fight that would push them to their limits.
As such, it would be rude for me to hold back against these senior brothers and sisters of mine.
Though of course, we did hold back since we weren’t trying to kill each other.
We used just enough power to push each other without actually putting either side in actual danger.
In the end, it turned out to be a bunch of explosions.
My way of fighting was using the different laws that I had obtained from the system to bombard my enemies.
This was a completely new style of fighting that no one had faced before, so it was a good experience for these senior brothers and sisters. Though how they would apply it to the real world was still to be seen.
After all, it wasn’t as if there was anyone else in the world like me.
There was no one who was capable of using all these different laws without a single care like me, so it didn’t seem like the experience of fighting me would actually be of any use to them in the future.
However, it didn’t seem like any of them held a grudge against me for bombarding them and overwhelming them like this.
It even seemed like they were slowly improving as they learned to dodge the various balls of law energy that I threw at them.
After a certain point, it even seemed like I was training the senior brothers and sisters.
"Junior brother, do you think that this is correct?"
"Junior brother, how do you use this law?"
"Junior brother, help me correct my steps."
It really seemed like I was training them when they started asking me questions like this, but I just helped them with the bit of knowledge that I had. Though it was mainly knowledge that came from the system since all of the techniques that I knew were taught to me by the system.
Of course, I didn’t hold back teaching them even though it didn’t seem like a smart thing to do.
In some cases, knowledge should be kept secret since giving too much knowledge away would hurt oneself.
Keeping knowledge to themselves was a good thing for the future since it created an exclusivity.
But for me...
Liu Ao Xue had been watching all of this with a smile on her face.
And that was the reason why I was doing all of this in the first place. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
The Star Peak Sect was the place that she had grown up, the place that was very important to her. There was no doubt that the people of this sect could be considered family to Liu Ao Xue.
With our relationship, it would be petty of me to keep things from those that she considered family.
At the same time, I wanted to build up my relationship with those from the Star Peak Sect during this period of peace.
A harmonious family was a happy family after all.
That was the main reason why I wanted to spar with these senior brothers and sisters in the first place.
When I finally got a break from sparring with them, Liu Ao Xue was waiting for me with a towel and a cup of water in her hand.
As I came over, she looked at me with a smile on her face before saying, "Good job. Thanks for your hard work."
I was surprised to hear her say this to me, but I took the things she offered with a smile on my face.
After wiping the sweat off and recovering with a sip of water, I was even more surprised by her suddenly taking the towel and wiping off my back.
When she was finished, she leaned in against me and said in a soft voice, "Thank you for doing all of this."
I was once again caught off guard by her when she suddenly said this, but then a smile appeared on my lips.
I didn’t say anything as I just simply gave a nod.
There was no need for me to say anything.
The senior brothers and sisters looked at us with smiles on their faces as well.
All in all, it was a good day of bonding between all of us.
