Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 192: Gathering of geniuses
Liu Ao Xue immediately revealed a surprised look when she heard me asking about this.
She made it very clear that she recognized this name that I mentioned, but she didn’t say anything.
Instead, Liu Ao Xue was looking at me as if she was trying to figure out what I was intending by asking this.
I just looked at her with a calm look on my face, not showing a single thing. After all, it wasn’t as if I could tell her the reason was my system...
So the only thing that I could do was pretend like I was just asking because I was just asking.
After a moment of silence, Liu Ao Xue gave a nod and said, "It’s the place where they hold the annual gathering of geniuses. It’s where the geniuses of the various sects go to temper themselves and look for treasure."
"Treasure?" I asked with a confused voice.
A place called the Void Battlefield didn’t seem like it would have any treasures.
There was a strange smile that appeared on Liu Ao Xue’s lips when she heard this before she slowly said, "Anything is free to take once someone dies and the ones that go into that place aren’t normal people. The things that they’ve dropped in there aren’t normal items, they’re the treasure that has been passed down to them."
I was slowly starting to understand where the "treasures" that she mentioned came from.
It seemed that this place had a much deeper history than I thought.
At the same time, it made it clear that there was something much more dangerous that was in this place than I imagined.
This made me question the system’s main mission even more.
Why would it be telling me to go to a place like this?
Even though I was questioning it, the system didn’t say a single thing like usual.
There was a strong struggle inside of me after hearing everything that Liu Ao Xue had to say.
It was clear that this Void Battlefield wasn’t a good place, but the main mission was pointing there. It seemed like there was something that the system wanted me to find in the Void Battlefield, which was why it was pointing me to that place.
Before I could come to a decision, Mu Bao Bao revealed a look like she suddenly realized something and said, "Oh, it’s that place."
Both of us looked at her with surprised looks when we heard this before I asked, "What do you know about it?"
Mu Bao Bao looked at me and said, "I’ve heard of that place from my father before. It’s the place that the Rising Thunder Upper Realm uses to test those from the lower realm to see if there’s anyone worth recruiting."
Both of us looked even more shocked when we heard this.
At the same time, we looked around to see if there was anyone else around.
Mu Bao Bao really was something else...
She was dropping this kind of important information without any hesitation or caution at all.
I didn’t know everything, but just based on what I could understand, I knew that this was a dangerous piece of information. If this was known by the representatives of the other sects visiting our sect, then...it was hard to tell what would happen.
Would it cause a war between the lower realm and the upper realm?
It was hard to predict, but it was certainly possible.
So this was not the kind of information that could be spread that easily.
As I felt a headache coming on, I heard Liu Ao Xue say, "It’s no wonder no one knows anything about the Void Battlefield. It just suddenly appeared one day out of nowhere and everyone assumed that it was a vestige from an ancient era."
There was a bitter smile that appeared on my face when I heard this.
No matter how one looks at it, this seemed like a red flag.
It was clear that this place seemed like a trap...
But I guess that it fulfilled a need for these lower realm cultivators, which was why they still sent people inside this place.
So I still had to find a way to go to this Void Battlefield.
After a moment of silence, I looked at Liu Ao Xue and asked, "You said that there’s a gathering of geniuses being held annually in the Void Battlefield. When is the next one?"
Liu Ao Xue was surprised before revealing a concerned look.
She just silently looked at me with this concerned look for a bit before saying, "Are you planning on going to the Void Battlefield?"
I gave a nod without explaining anything, but the look that I gave her was me telling her to trust me.
Liu Ao Xue just silently looked at me with the same concerned look for a bit.
But in the end, she said with a sigh, "It’s next month. As long as you want, I think they’ll let you go with them."
She knew that there was nothing that she could do to stop him, so it was better to tell him.
That way, she could make her own plans as well.
With a smile, I went forward to place a kiss on her forehead before saying, "Thank you."
Then I stood up and turned to leave the courtyard, leaving behind a Liu Ao Xue whose face was completely red. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Mu Bao Bao was also stunned when she saw me place a kiss on Liu Ao Xue’s forehead, but there seemed to be a hint of something else in her eyes when she saw this.
After leaving the courtyard, I went to the Great Elder and the sect master who were still surrounded by the elders from the other sects.
They were all happy to see me, but I just ignored them and dragged the two of them away.
Seeing the way that I looked at them, the elders from the other sects didn’t follow even though they clearly wanted to.
Once we were alone, I said, "I want to go to the Void Battlefield."
