Though it was said that people were coming, it took a week before they actually arrived.

This was a courtyard that was right beside Liu Ao Xue’s courtyard in the Star Peak Sect that had been prepared for me.

When these youths arrived, the first thing that they did was anxiously look for someone. It was as if they were worried that something would happen if they were to delay.

In that moment of peace, Liu Ao Xue looked at me with an awkward look while also casting a grateful look to Mu Bao Bao. However, it didn’t seem like Mu Bao Bao cared at all as she was still focused on eating.

It seemed like she had only done it to get rid of the flies that were annoying her.

Liu Ao Xue looked back at me like she was asking me something and I gave a nod in response.

Since they had come for my woman, how could I sit still?

When the two of us came out, we saw that all of the youths that were here still hadn’t recovered yet. However, the moment that we came out, their attention went to Liu Ao Xue.

Liu Ao Xue knew what they were about to do, so she didn’t hesitate to raise her hand and create a wall of ice around her. This wall of ice wasn’t just around her, but also around me as well.

Once this wall of ice came up, they acted like she had expected them to act and they charged at her. It was just that the wall of ice was in the way, which stopped them from coming over to where Liu Ao Xue and I were standing.

There wasn’t a single representative that asked this, it seemed like they all wanted an answer and they asked at the same time. The only reason I understood was because they had all said the same thing.

But I wasn’t fazed at all by them.

How could I be cowed by these ruffians that came for my woman?

Seeing that I didn’t react at all made them even angrier and it seemed like a few of them were about to explode.

It was only when they reacted like this that I made my move.

I took a step forward and reached out to take Liu Ao Xue by the shoulder before pulling her in towards me.
