Chapter 267: Chapter 266: Forcing Herself to Stay Strong

She dialed Damian Sinclair’s number over and over again, the beeps sounding until it automatically disconnected without anyone picking up.

Is he really not planning to answer her call anymore, not planning to have any contact with her?

Bella Acker sniffled and wiped away the tears that kept falling.

Although she didn’t know where those photos came from, she was determined to explain everything clearly to Damian!

Having made up her mind, Bella’s heart felt less chaotic.

Previously, she had stubbornly misunderstood Damian, forcing a breakup, while Damian, though angry and sad, had never thought of giving up on her.

This time, it’s her turn to salvage their relationship, and she won’t give up!

Bella took a deep breath, suppressing the sadness and bitterness in her heart, wiped away her tears, and forced herself to perk up.

She certainly couldn’t take leave from the set again, so she’d have to wait until her break to find Damian.

She had promised she would catch up to him, become a woman worthy of him, and she wouldn’t give up easily!

Damian, wait for me! You have to wait for me!

Her eyes began to sting again, and Bella forcibly held back the tears that threatened to fall. After pulling herself together, she went to the washroom to wash her face, then returned to the break area.

President Lloyd’s assistant hadn’t delivered lunch today, but Bella didn’t mind.

Sharon Cheney handed her the lunchbox she had kept aside for her, evident concern in her eyes.

"Ms. Cheney, I’m fine. I made everyone wait by NGing so much this morning, and I’ll be careful in the afternoon." Bella smiled and took the lunchbox, starting to eat seriously, not mentioning anything about Damian Sinclair.

Sharon saw her eyes were somewhat red, obviously from crying. But seeing that Bella didn’t want to say more, she did not press further.

"Yes, keep working hard. Work is equally important for us women." Sharon consoled.

"I understand." Bella’s hand paused slightly as she picked up the food, then nonchalantly continued eating.

She finished the lunchbox at the fastest speed and then stood up, saying, "Ms. Cheney, I’m going to find Director Ford."

"Is something wrong? Do you need me to go with you?" Sharon asked.

"I can’t keep relying on you." Bella shook her head, "Ms. Cheney, don’t worry, there won’t be any problem. I’m leaving." With that, she headed to where Director Ford was resting.

Director Ford had already eaten, he was sitting on a folding chair smoking. When he saw her approaching, he slightly lifted his eyelids and said, "Your filming status this morning was very poor, delayed the progress, you’ll need to work overtime in the afternoon."

"I’m sorry." Bella apologized sincerely.

Director Ford tossed the cigarette on the ground and stomped it out, "Don’t bring emotional matters from your personal life into work. Remember, you are a professional actor."

"Yes." Bella nodded, "My status was bad this morning, I’ll pay attention in the afternoon. Director Ford, can I request overtime?"

"You delayed the progress, overtime in the afternoon is expected, do you need to request for that?" Director Ford raised an eyebrow, throwing her a scornful look.

"No, I meant to say I’d like to request overtime for the next few days." Bella said, "Director Ford, I want to have a break on December 1st."

"It’s not up to you to request, you can expect no downtime in the coming days." Director Ford stood up, "You might not sleep more than three hours a day, are you mentally prepared?"

"Yes." Bella’s eyes remained steadfast as she nodded.

Director Ford’s displeasure from having a bad mood all morning finally eased a bit, "The crew has to rush for the summer release, so the schedule is tight. December 1st and 2nd are originally planned as your days off, just work hard for now."

"Okay. Thank you, Director Ford."
