Warlock Apprentice-Chapter 1393 - Section 1394 Twilight King Appears
Chapter 1393: Section 1394 Twilight King Appears
“You’re courting death,” Isabella’s eyes had completely turned crimson, matching her black veil and eerily luminous pale skin, emanating a sinister charm.
Her voice had not risen, but the underlying chill in her tone had reached its peak.
Kimberly furrowed her brows; she could feel that Isabella was on the verge of eruption.
Although Kimberly also thought Angel’s words were too much, choosing to become entirely hostile with Illusion Demon Island now was not a wise move.
Even though she had fortuitously stepped into the realm of True Knowledge, she knew her own limits—her power was still a great deal inferior to Sanders’.
Not to mention, Sanders had the Gravity Garden.
In such a situation, opposing the forces of Illusion Demon Island would undoubtedly lead to no good end, and the enemy might even safely withdraw in full.
With these thoughts in mind, Kimberly still decided to try and dissuade Isabella.
However, it would have been better if Kimberly had kept silent; by speaking up, she seemed to have inadvertently fanned Isabella’s flames.
Isabella gave Kimberly a cold look: “So, you are on their side after all. You think the same, don’t you? That I brought this upon myself?”
Kimberly was about to speak when Isabella let out a cold laugh and slowly floated upwards.
Rustling sounds came from all directions.
An enormous amount of blood emerged from nowhere, gathering around Isabella. She was enveloped in crimson, with the blood forming her wings, weapons, and patterns, emanating ferocious energy!
Seeing this, Kimberly sighed and took a step back, quietly aligning with Isabella.
No matter how much she disliked Isabella, at this moment, she also had to stand on the same side as her.
Both Sanders and Angel had risen, with each party taking a side.
It was clear that a battle was about to erupt.
“Alas—”
Just then, a soft sigh reached everyone’s ears.
As the sigh sounded, Isabella’s previously rising momentum was as if doused with a bucket of ice water, instantly wilted. Her hair, as if it were venomous serpents, also slowly settled down.
“Angel is not wrong. Is it not your fault that Black Castle has come to this?” a detached voice echoed through the hall, “Moreover, do you plan for Black Castle to become hostile with Barbarian Cave with your actions now?”
Isabella lifted her head, looking towards the unknown void, her expression filled with restrained pain, and she murmured, “Mentor…”
As Isabella’s voice fell, a door suddenly opened in the void.
A woman with silver-white hair coiled into a bun and icy blue eyes, wearing a silver-white magic robe, walked out from behind the door. When she set foot in the air, a winding Phantom Shadow staircase faintly appeared under her feet.
Everyone present, except for Sanders, was seeing her for the first time, but Sanders could guess her identity without anyone else’s help.
The genius Witch from a thousand years ago, the “Twilight King” Isabelle!
Although her appearance had changed, the majesty of someone who seemed to stand at the pinnacle of the throne enveloped the entire place, unstoppable and penetrating.
Isabelle’s sudden appearance caught everyone off guard.
Even more unexpected was that upon her arrival, Isabelle did not side with her once-pupil Isabella; instead, from her tone, she appeared to side with Angel.
This left even Kimberly somewhat astonished.
After settling in, Isabelle did not look at Isabella, who had lost all her ferocity, but instead stared intently at Angel and walked slowly towards him.
“It has not been long since we last met. To think that you’ve made such great progress in a short time, your journey through the Abyss must have yielded far more than outsiders have speculated,” Isabelle said softly, a glimmer in her eyes.
Both Angel and Sanders understood what she meant, but Kimberly and Isabella were completely baffled.
Kimberly only knew Angel was an Alchemist; what was this “Abyss journey” Isabelle mentioned? It sounded important, otherwise, Isabelle wouldn’t have specifically brought it up.
Moreover, Kimberly was puzzled by Isabelle’s earlier words—as if there was a hidden meaning when she said, “Do you intend to become hostile with Barbarian Cave?” Wasn’t their opposition supposed to be with Illusion Demon Island? How had it escalated to hostility with a large Witcher Organization?
Angel and Sanders exchanged glances, though they didn’t understand why Isabelle suddenly took their side to reprimand Isabella, what was clear was that Rosen had not lied and that Isabelle had indeed been in contact with Sky Mechanical City recently, otherwise, she would not be aware of Angel’s trip to the Abyss.
“I was fortunate to have some gain,” Angel said, his demeanor much more restrained in the presence of Isabelle.
“It’s more than just fortune,” Isabelle stated blandly, her gaze fleetingly passing over Angel’s earlobe, “To form a friendship with Odeclass means that, in certain aspects, you must have caught his eye.”
“Has Lady Isabelle also met Odeclass?” Angel asked curiously, as her tone seemed quite familiar.
“I once had the fortune to see it, but at that time it was not confined to Ice Valley, rather, it was traveling through various phase planes with another Frost Dragon,” Isabel’s eyes gleamed with nostalgia.
“Binaqionse?”
Isabel raised an eyebrow and nodded, “Yes, indeed, it was Binaqionse. It seems the rumors outside are true; you really know a great deal.”
Angel smiled but didn’t respond.
The conversation between Isabel and Angel left Kimberly with a flood of question marks in her head: What were they talking about? Who are Odeclass and Binaqionse?
At that moment, naturally, nobody bothered to explain to Kimberly.
Isabel appeared quite relaxed as she sat on the sofa. As she sat down, the silent Isabella and the perplexed Kimberly followed suit.
The previously sharp confrontation instantly vanished, and both Sanders and Angel also took their seats.
“I’m quite interested in the expedition to the Abyss, but now is not the time to discuss it,” Isabel glanced at Isabella before continuing, “I’ve already learned about the situation between you and Isabella.”
Kimberly pricked up her ears; she also wanted to know what exactly happened between Angel and Isabella in Silent Hill, but Isabel did not elaborate, merely glossing over it.
“I won’t judge the rights and wrongs of the past. And whatever disputes you and Isabella have in the future, I’m not going to intervene; that’s for the two of you to resolve,” Isabel stated matter-of-factly, then changed the subject, “However, regarding Isabella coming to you today to borrow the gun that eradicates the undead, I think you should reconsider a bit.”
When Isabel mentioned Samsara Overture, she felt a subtle emotion. If it weren’t for her interrupting half of the Mysterious Spirit, it might have become a Mysterious Object.
Isabel felt somewhat guilty towards Angel, but she hadn’t just taken without giving; passing the Secret Spirit Murmur to Angel was in some ways an act of compensation.
Angel didn’t reply, but his expression was obviously resistant.
Isabel continued, “The reason I suggest you think it over is because of the incident at Black Castle, which, to some degree, relates to you.”
“Relates to me?” Angel frowned.
Not only was Angel puzzled, but Kimberly and Sanders also showed surprise. How could the incident at Black Castle be related to Angel?
Isabel said nothing, merely lightly tapped the Void.
An Illusion spontaneously manifested.
Though the Illusion was somewhat crude, even inferior to Angel’s Illusion Technique, the message Isabel wanted to convey through the Illusion was very clear.
The Illusion depicted a peculiar Spirit.

Peculiar because it had the characteristics of the undead, yet also the appearance of an ordinary Spirit.
It was as if someone had taken a knife and cleaved her in half from the top of her head.
One side was spiteful and fierce, the other indifferent and tranquil. The fierce side remained in the state of the undead, with white, misty eyes and bulging veins like writhing roots, full of cruel malice; yet the tranquil side possessed the delicate composure of a noble lady.
“Do you recognize her?” Isabel looked towards Angel.
Kimberly too glanced at Angel. Anyone from Black Castle would be well aware of the appearance of this undead, for it was she who disturbed the peace of Black Castle.
According to Kimberly’s understanding, Angel shouldn’t have had any interaction with this undead, so why would Isabel specifically ask him?
While Kimberly was puzzled, Angel’s expression suddenly became strange. After a while, he said, “The incident at Black Castle is related to her?”
Although Angel did not confirm it outright, his tone made it clear that he seemed to truly recognize this undead being.
Could it be that Angel really had some connection to the incident at Black Castle?
At this point, it wasn’t just Kimberly, including Isabella and Sanders, who were looking at Angel with puzzled expressions, waiting for his explanation.
Wearing a confused expression, Angel rubbed his temples and muttered under his breath, “Impossible, she was only hit by a single bullet, how could she not have disappeared?”
Listening to Angel’s mutterings and looking at the spirit in the Illusion, Sanders seemed to understand something.
“Is she the first test subject of the Samsara Overture?” Sanders asked.
Angel reluctantly nodded: “Yes, she was the target of the first White Light Bullet I used during an experiment at Black Castle.”
After several experiments with the Samsara Overture, Angel had almost reached a conclusion: once struck by a White Light Bullet, the subject would enter an irreversible transformation phase.
During this phase, the subject had to be hit by all six bullets in the cylinder to eliminate the Negative Energy within the undead and transform them into an ordinary Soul.
If not all bullets hit, just one or two, the undead would eventually perish due to the imbalance of Negative Energy within their body.
