Warhammer Divine Throne-Chapter 595 - 261, Wizard Tower Construction (Part 1)
PS. Thanks to the book friend "Romanian Feiti" for the generous reward, much appreciated.
Veronica's Wizard Tower is called the "Tower of Dawn," it stands thirty-seven meters high with a total of eight floors.
The first floor is already obstructed by huge statues, pools, and high walls. Veronica cleverly constructed her Wizard Tower in a small grove just a hundred meters from Laine Castle. The majestic Wizard Tower, consisting of white and gray boulders complemented by wooden structures, stands tall beside the Count's castle, forming a harmonious contrast.
When the Jialan Witch's Wizard Tower was under construction, it initially faced issues. With the technology of the Winford Artisans, building such a luxurious Wizard Tower would require a lot of time, along with various challenges.
Thankfully, there are Dwarves.
In terms of architecture, Dwarven craftsmanship is at the forefront. Their techniques might not be as brilliant and magnificent as those of the High Elves, but Dwarven construction is synonymous with solidity and durability. The massive architectural complex located in Eternal Peak Karaz-A-Karak has stood for over seven thousand years and remains as robust as ever.
With the Dwarves' help, Veronica's Wizard Tower was completed ahead of schedule.
Several knights arrived before the Jialan Witch's Wizard Tower. The Pure-blooded Elf Warhorse Grapes neighed joyfully, and its master released its reins: "Grapes, have a stroll around here~"
Wearing a deep red Count's velvet coat, Laine dismounted gracefully. He patted Grapes on the neck, and the Pure-blooded Elf Warhorse nodded understandingly before prancing around happily. It neighed loudly, causing the other knights' warhorses to tremble.
Armand, Hex, Olivier, and Teresa came to visit Veronica's Wizard Tower. Among them, the female sorcerer volunteered to come, while the other three Kingdom Knights were curious about the Wizard Tower and took this opportunity to tour it.
Lops was leading twenty knights and fifty sergeants to patrol the territory and understand the public sentiment.
Besides them, a new knight joined the knights' ranks. This was a young Ranger Knight named Lucian. He was not tall, carried an air of scholarship, and the downy fuzz by his lips indicated he was just in his early twenties. His fair skin and delicate face made him appear youthful. He carried two swords on his back and wore a blue and white patterned noble attire.
He was a Ranger Knight cultivated by Winford College, standing out in the selection and being noticed by Laine. This young knight was an outstanding graduate of Winford College this year. He possesses Elite High-Tier strength, solid fundamentals but lacks combat baptism. Laine was impressed by his devout faith and calm thinking, differing from the hot-blooded Rangers driven by impulse. Laine needed this kind of thinking knight.
When the group arrived at the entrance of the Wizard Tower, the tall tower doors were tightly shut. A giant lion statue blocked the path: "Please state the passphrase."
"????" Laine frowned: "What passphrase?"
"The passphrase for entry." The lion statue seemed fully programmed. It paused, then repeated its previous statement: "Please state the passphrase."
"...Could you give a hint?" Laine pondered for a long time, unsure of what passphrase Veronica had set, so he inquired further. Upon hearing the word "hint," the statue responded: "Where did Miss Veronica and her lover first meet?"
"The Star Gate of the Celestial Vault Castle."
"Correct answer." The statue moved aside and cleared the way.
The knights said nothing. Having stayed in Laine's territory for a while, everyone knew that the powerful Jialan Witch was Laine's lover. Even Lucian, who had just become a knight under the Count's command, had heard of it.
It was only Teresa who followed behind Laine with a slightly sour tone, "You and she met at the Star Gate. Didn't she let you taste her Fireball Technique?"
"Of course I did, and I even took it in the face." Laine retorted.
"Hahaha~" The knights burst into cheerful laughter, as Laine had initiated the joke, they felt free to laugh along.
The door had just opened, revealing luxurious interior decorations. The large chandelier hanging in the first floor of the Wizard Tower was inlaid with gold, and various decorations were embedded with glass, jade, and ivory.
A dozen witch apprentices in fiery red robes were doing cleaning. Inside the hall, there were five Combat Golems; these golems were fitted with Magic Crystal Stones. With a single command, they could begin working or fighting. The hall's furniture was made of oak, and its grandeur and glory elicited exclamations of wonder from everyone. Some knights frowned, thinking this Wizard Tower was too sumptuous.
"Lord Laine!" A graceful and poised young witch appeared before Laine. She looked under twenty years old, her face still youthful, yet blooming at the fiery red robe's collar was the Jialan Flowers, indicating she was an Elite Tier official Jialan Witch.
"Hello, Catherine, congratulations to you. You are now a fully-fledged official wizard." Laine said with a smile.
"No, no, everything I have is thanks to my mentor, please don't say that, Lord Laine!" Catherine shook her head repeatedly in fear, her golden hair swaying as she hurriedly bowed to Laine and the knights: "Good morning, gentlemen."
She then proceeded to bow to Teresa: "Good morning, Councillor Trovik."
