Chapter 40: Chapter 40: Community of Life

Yin Yang Star.

Eternal Day Group Building.

In a room at the very top level.

A sophisticated electronic device is connected to a two-meter large meteorite.

Right in front of the meteorite stands the disheveled chairman of the Eternal Day Group, his clothes and face smeared with purple blood, but he dares not move, his legs trembling uncontrollably!

"Have you forgotten who helped the Eternal Day Group reach the position it has today?"

A voice, severe and icy cold, emanates from the speaker of an electronic device, unexpectedly originating from the meteorite.

To be precise, it’s from the Consciousness Particles within the meteorite.

After prolonged interaction with Celestial Civilizations, the Yin Yang Star People have finally devised a method to directly communicate with them.

With their First-level Civilization technology, they are unable to detect Consciousness Waves and can only employ this special method to make Consciousness Particles strike a diaphragm to produce sound.

The trembling chairman of the Eternal Day Group stutters, "I... of course I remember, I won’t forget in this lifetime!"

"Oh, really? Then why didn’t you inform me first upon discovering another Celestial Civilization? Have you forgotten who is the real boss here? Or were you all attempting to deceive me, aiming to switch targets for cooperation with another life community? If I had not heard about it from the immigrants, I’d still be kept in the dark!"

The chairman knows that explanations are pointless, so he says, "We were wrong, blinded by greed, but we never had any intention of rebellion!"

"Whether there is rebellion is not for you to say with words, but for you to prove with actions!"

"I will immediately tell you all the intelligence about that Celestial Civilization and have the Yin Yang Civilization’s fleet cooperate with you!" The chairman hastily expresses his sincerity.

"Spare me your cooperation; you are only a First-level Civilization, and would only hold me back. Just give me the intelligence."

The chairman immediately divulges all the information about Demon Star Lu Chen, then hesitantly asks, "What... what are you planning to do about that Demon Star?"

"Since we’ve become enemies, it’s either it dies or I die. Now only my true form can take matters into hand and exterminate that Demon Star!"

"What about the people who have emigrated there?" the chairman asks.

"I don’t have time to arrange their evacuation now. Whatever fate awaits them is your own doing, and it’s the punishment for your earlier mistake. I hope you will be more cautious in the future; otherwise, it’ll soon be Yin Yang Star’s turn. Just as I can induce self-rotation in Yin Yang Star, I can also obliterate it!"

"This..."

The chairman’s mouth opens, but he doesn’t know what to say.

"Stop dithering. You should recognize your place. This life community led by me is merely a game to me; don’t take yourselves too seriously!"

Having said that, the meteorite breaks free from the electronic device and, shattering the glass, flies out into the outer space towards its true form.

Watching the meteorite’s imperious departure, the previously trembling chairman finally starts to calm down, his face turning from panic to somber, as scenes of the past gradually surface in his mind.

About fifty years ago.

The Eternal Day Group initiated the Space Exploration Program.

They discovered an extraordinary Planet in the neighboring Constant Star System.

This Planet was Feather Robe Star whose atmosphere, not uniformly affected by Gravity, was not spherical but wing-shaped – a phenomenon utterly unique across the Universe!

Whenever sunlight shone upon its atmosphere, it would display a kaleidoscope of dazzling, gorgeous atmospheric veils, an unparalleled spectacle.

Later, during their exploration of Feather Robe Star, the Eternal Day Group incidentally discovered that the Planet itself possessed life. After several years of negotiations, the two parties decided to cooperate.

At the time, the Consciousness Particles within Feather Robe Star introduced a novel concept—"Life Community."

A Life Community referred to a symbiotic state between biological civilizations and Celestial Civilizations, two different forms of life, marked by mutual coexistence, mutual progress, and interdependence.

It’s said that this concept originated from a former Fifth-level Civilization.

A time came when a biological civilization emerged within a Planet-level Celestial Civilization, which from that point onwards, coexisted and depended on each other.

Over countless years that followed, they aided each other, grew together, and compensated for each other’s weaknesses. With the help of the Celestial Civilization, the biological civilization rapidly advanced, avoiding numerous Cosmic Crises. Meanwhile, the presence of tiny and agile biological life also helped the Celestial Civilization accomplish several difficult feats.

Through numerous crises, this Life Community worked together, unleashing tremendous power, and eventually advancing to a Fifth-level Civilization, or so some claim, to the Universe itself.

Hence, the concept of Life Community began to gain importance.

After hearing about this concept from somewhere, Feather Robe Star decided to give it a try.

After all, being a Planet, the short lifespan of a biological civilization was merely a moment to it – a moment it could afford to experience.

Thus, it temporarily gave up absorbing large meteorites to avoid damaging the landscape and began cooperating with the Yin Yang Star People.

Since the commencement of the Life Community project, the Eternal Day Group had acquired numerous scientific ideas from Feather Robe Star, swiftly put them into practice, and amassed considerable wealth from them.

Within a mere decade, the wealth of the Eternal Day Group skyrocketed to rival that of nations, monopolizing eighty percent of Yin Yang Star’s economic lifeline, thus becoming a dominant force. By means of funding initiatives, they gained complete control over Yin Yang Star’s powers.

Thirty years passed, and a sensation occurred globally during that year.

The concept of ’Day’ finally made its way into the history and calendar of Yin Yang Star.

Originally, due to gravitational balance, Yin Yang Star didn’t have a rotation system, just an orbit around the Constant Star. To the Yin Yang Star People, temporal definitions historically only included years, without days.

When Feather Robe Star learned of this, it decided to employ its own Gravity to bestow an initial angular momentum upon Yin Yang Star, kickstarting the formation of a self-rotation system. However, this was known to just a few elites; the ordinary people of Yin Yang Star deemed it a miracle.

Ultimately, with Feather Robe Star’s assistance, Yin Yang Star began rotating. Yet, the rotation rate was agonizingly slow—Yin Yang Star completed one rotation in the same duration it orbited the Constant Star one and a half times, meaning a ’Day’ on Yin Yang Star was longer than a ’Year’; a day equaled 1.5 years, which was enough to move the Yin Yang Star People to tears!

Due to the slow rotation, Feather Robe Star was unable to resolve the issue.

The Eternal Day Group could only decide to proceed with interstellar migration, relocating all Yin Yang Star People onto Feather Robe Star, making it their Mother Star.

However, extensive preliminary work was necessary for this plan.

Firstly, Feather Robe Star’s temperature and atmospheric environment had to be adjusted to accommodate the existence of Yin Yang Star People; Feather Robe Star even altered its original orbit for this purpose.

Secondly, infrastructure development was required, including the establishment of living cities on Feather Robe Star ahead of time.

Yet now, what was once a harmonious cooperation, due to the greed of the Yin Yang Star People, has become fragile, and the whole Life Community is on the verge of collapse!
