Villain's transmigration: Breaking every heroine into a Yandere-Chapter 83: Duel with Wasker (2)
Noah waited patiently for him to answer.
Wasker hesitated, unwilling to say anything that might upset him.
He had already failed the task, so he did not wish to make another mistake.
"That’s..."
"That’s fine. You hesitated. That means he is stronger than me."
Noah shrugged it off casually, but Wasker immediately added to avoid being misunderstood.
"No, that’s not it, my lord. It’s just that... when I observed him in battle... it felt weird."
He couldn’t explain properly. Even he himself might not have believed what he was about to say.
"That power he used, it did not feel like his own. It’s hard for me to explain, but there is no way someone on his realm can fight against a core expansion realm knight."
’Well, that’s his plot armour. An ancient being is guiding him. No way that person will let you guys kill him. It must have sensed their presence that’s why it did not kill that knight.’
He had already said that, kill the protagonist if he kills the knight.
That’s because to kill that knight, that being had to act, using most of its power, hence it would have been easier to kill the MC once Waker joined.
But none of that happened.
"So, what are you trying to say?" Noah asked again.
"If I don’t consider that unknown power, then you are naturally stronger than he, my lord."
"However, Wasker, that doesn’t mean he won’t use that power in battle, right? If he has it, then he has it, that’s the end of it. Consider that power his own, then what will be your verdict?"
Wasker once again hesitated; he couldn’t say that his lord is weaker than some random nobody.
Even if he is a genius, he couldn’t say it on his lord’s face.
"You paused again. So, you don’t consider me as strong as him, huh? Your verdict of me has been based on what I have shown you, right? Maybe you will change it after this. Have a duel with me, Wasker."
He extended his hand towards him, asking for the duel.
His original plan was to see his real strength, so he did not care what he thought of him or his mc.
If his MC has a weird power, then so does he.
Wasker stared at Noah in daze, wondering if he was really asking for that.
No matter what, Wasker was a fairly high-ranked knight.
Reaching Mana heart stage wasn’t something to be scoffed at.
It wasn’t a high rank, but it wasn’t low either, by a large margin.
"My lord, you?" He softly spoke, trying to see if he had misheard something.
"I am serious, Wasker. Have a duel with me. I actually wish to see where my real strength lies. You are strong, right? You will be perfect for that."
’So he only wishes to check his strength? That won’t be a problem.’
Little did he know, that’s gonna be a huge problem.
"If that’s what you wish, my lord. I will do my best."
"Umm, do your best not to hold back," Noah said with a polite smile on his face.
’Yeah, do not hold back, dear. Cause I won’t.’
He wasn’t sure if he could win against him or not, so he did not even think about holding back at all.
"Shall we go somewhere else?" Noah asked.
He did not wish to showcase his full power before everyone. He did not mind doing so; he was just worried if his growth would seem too fast.
Also, he did not want to lose before everyone.
There was no certainty that he would win, though he did feel like he would. Nothing can ever be certain.
"I think here will be fine, my lord. Watching you have a duel with me might increase the morale of the soldiers too. And they will also be able to witness how capable you are." Wasker also replied politely.
’Increasing their morale, eh? Guess I can do that.’
"Fine by me."
Saying that, he walked towards the ground. Getting to the centre of the arena.
Standing in the same place he had been a few days prior, while facing Noelle.
Every soldier turned towards him, stopping their training.
They began to whisper among themselves, about why their lord was in the arena.
Some even guessed if he was going to have another duel, and their theory soon became true when they watched Wasker going on the arena too.
"Are they gonna have a duel?"
"It seems so."
"I don’t think they are gonna fight for real. You know the instructor. He is too powerful. No matter how powerful the young lord is, he can’t win against him."
"Yeah, it must be a friendly spar."
Noah sighed listening to their whispers.
’The extras... always the same. They can only fill the air with whispers.’
He was slightly annoyed every time he did something, and the bystanders began whispering about that.
But what else can they even do, they were designed that way. Always staying at the back and gossiping among themselves, oh and also... dying in war without doing anything.
He looked at Wasker, who was trying to take his armour off, and spoke,
"No need for that. Keep them on. I don’t have much time with me Wasker. I need to get ready to head out tomorrow, so come at me quick."
He took his stance while saying that. With a flick of his wrist, a wooden sword came flying towards him, which he caught easily, pointing its tip towards Wasker.
A declaration to start the duel.
Wasker squinted his eyes, closing them for a second.
The next second, he opened them, and they were firm.
He steadied his heart to do as he had requested. However...
’I will at least hold back from using the sword skill from the Asthor family.’
He also took out a wooden sword from the shelf, completely ready to face Noah.
They locked eyes for a second, before finally moving to face each other.
They both dashed at each other. Wasker moved with his immense physical strength, while Noah relied on the wind to accelerate his speed.
Their speed amazed everyone who had been waiting for them to clash while holding their breath.
Most of them weren’t even able to follow their movements clearly. They only heard a sharp ’clack’ as the two wooden showed classed against each other.
The collision of their swords generates a great impact, sending the wind swirling back.
In their first exchange, neither of them went all out.
Noah was trying to get used to his full strength.
He did practice this while he was running to fulfil his quest.
Wasker, on the other hand, did not feel like going all out from the start, but the moment he clashed swords with Noah, he realised something... he had greatly underestimated Noah’s strength.
’Isn’t he in the Gathering realm like young miss? Then why do I feel my hands going numb?’
Both of them went back to their previous places.
Noah looked at his sword, coated with his dark mana.
He did not use much force, at least not all his strength, but he still felt himself being pushed back by Wasker.
’He is no joke. Guess I picked a good opponent.’
He smirked, feeling glad that he won’t have to hold back. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Noah looked at Wasker again, who had a similar opinion to him.
Neither of them was going to hold back anymore.
With that, both of them struck back, clashing their sword.
Wasker, with his experience and his immense physical constitution was diverting every strike from Noah.
Noah, on the other hand was like a wild beast, swinging his sword violently without any proper direction.
He was using his mana for both his skills and his mana veins to increase his physical capabilities.
Clack... Clack... Clack...
Their swords clashed, sending waves and waves of wind outside the arena.
Then came a time when Noah began to twist his smile.
His speed when he moved and the speed when he swung his sword were increasing as timepassedsed by.
He wasn’t giving Wasker any moment to use any of his skills at all.
But it was sad of him to think that only that would be enough to take down Wasker.
The next moment Noah swung his sword, Wasker grabbed it with his hand, finally breaking that assault he was taking without a break.
"That’s enough, my lord. This ends here."
His hand bled, even if the sword was made of wood, which was the reason he was able to catch it, it was still engulfed with mana.
However, he did not care about the blood and the little cut. He tightened the grip of his sword with one hand and punched Noah on the face with the other, sending him flying out of the arena.
The entire arena was silenced after that.
Someone dared to actually punch Noah.
When Wasker himself realised what he had done, his heart tightened in his chest.
But his fear was short lived as Noah got up the very next second.
