Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master!-Chapter 73: Master’s Plan
Secretary Miller was sweating as he agreed, "Yes, yes, yes..."
Before he could finish, he met the man’s cold and fierce gaze, "Yes to what?"
Secretary Miller: "..."
Damn it, wasn’t it you who said that?
No wonder you’re known as a lunatic in Aethelgard.
Unfortunately, Secretary Miller dared not speak a word of protest and quickly lowered his head in submission, "That’s not it, young master. I meant that Miss Shaw and you are a match made in heaven."
These words made Landon Ford feel slightly more at ease, but his expression remained unchanged as he sneered, "Tell the old geezer to stay out of my and Thea’s business. He should look at himself in the mirror before daring to interfere with me. He’d be better off worrying about other things."
Secretary Miller listened, trembling inside.
The conflict between the Ford Family father and son was no secret, and even Secretary Miller thought Warren Ford’s actions today were somewhat inappropriate.
But he understood Warren Ford’s perspective.
Landon Ford had never been so close to another woman, and now that he was, Warren felt a sense of crisis.
Warren primarily believed that, given the Sutton Family’s status, they were unworthy of the Ford Family and of Landon.
He wanted to nip it in the bud.
He hadn’t even considered whether Landon would agree.
When those at the top fight, it’s the assistants below who suffer.
Secretary Miller dared not retort and couldn’t report such things truthfully either, so he respectfully responded, "Yes."

When Thea Shaw returned home, no one was there yet.
But she received a call from Mrs. Sutton, saying that the DNA test results had come out again, proving Aurora Sutton was indeed a child of the Old Mr. Kensington Family, Shane Kensington’s biological daughter.
Old Mr. Kensington was now overjoyed, pulling them to the Kensington house to see Shane Kensington’s past.
Mrs. Sutton couldn’t refuse and now asked Thea if she wanted to go.
Thea wasn’t very interested and declined.
However, Thea did have another appointment. Florence Locke texted her, asking her to come over.
A mentor can’t be denied. In the Women’s Respect Country for thirty years, this mentor had treated her quite well.
Florence Locke’s home was still in that upscale apartment from last time. That identity she had crossed over to was truly advantageous. With her daughter abroad and no one to disturb her, it was Florence’s personal paradise.
Upon arrival, Thea noticed that the apartment’s decor had begun to show subtle changes.
For instance, while it used to be bright and minimalistic in a European style, it now leaned towards a more retro vibe, with many antique-style decorations and obviously expensive antique vases added around the corners.
Upon entering, Thea couldn’t help but remark, "Mentor, this body of yours must have quite a bit of money now."
Florence Locke casually replied, "Not much, just a few billion in financial investments." 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Thea: "..."
Mentor, you haven’t picked up much from the modern era, but you certainly have learned its pretense.
Even with her billions in investments, Florence Locke wasn’t satisfied, and she sighed, "But what can a few billion do? It all has to be invested, which I don’t understand, and can’t be touched in the short term. The things Mentor needs now are worth a fortune."
"Look at this carved pen holder, which Mentor got from a specialty store—a genuine one costing three million, and this wolf-hair brush alone costs two hundred thousand. Money just can’t last!"
Florence Locke’s eyebrows revealed a faint worry, "Mentor needs to find a way to make money, but besides spending, Mentor knows nothing else..."
Even with Florence Locke’s original memories, she got a headache just looking at those financial numbers.
Thea: "..."
