Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master!-Chapter 46: Aurora Sutton Breaks Down
Aurora Sutton was in the orthopedics department.
It looked serious but not too serious; she had sprained her ankle.
She lay on the hospital bed looking at her phone, her face pale, appearing a bit disheartened, lost in thought.
Until Thea Shaw appeared, she sat up in surprise and called out, "Thea?"
"Ah, my brother asked me to check on you. I heard you didn’t want your parents to know. Don’t worry, we haven’t told them."
Landon Ford stood at the doorway but didn’t come in; he had no interest in involving himself in the Sutton Family’s affairs.
Aurora Sutton smiled faintly, "Thank you."
In fact, she didn’t want the Sutton parents to know, nor did she want Thea to know.
Unexpectedly, Zia Sutton directly informed Thea, and Aurora couldn’t understand what Zia was thinking.
"A fight?"
When she arrived, Zia briefly explained the situation, that it was because Aurora had an argument with someone.
However, since childhood, her temperament had always been gentle, Aurora had never been known to have a falling-out or get into a fight with anyone. During the argument, the other party pushed Aurora, which caused her to sprain her ankle.
Zia knew some of the rumors going around school and angrily said, "It’s probably related to her boyfriend. I never liked her boyfriend. I always thought he was just a... jerk who only knows how to act pretentious."
It was rare for the eldest son of the Sutton Family to describe someone like that, which naturally piqued Thea’s curiosity.
The fateful line between Aurora’s brows was dull and gray, could it really be due to her boyfriend?
Judging by the fateful line, it seemed she hadn’t chosen someone worth investing in.
Aurora felt a bit embarrassed and didn’t know what to say, "It was just a little argument."
Thea nodded, not asking much, simply said, "Actually, you don’t need to worry about anything. Your parents have raised you for so many years, and the previous mistake wasn’t caused by you. I have no issues with you. The Sutton Family can afford two daughters; you were who you were before, and you are still the same now."
"I..."
Aurora could only force a bitter smile at her clear words, "I know, but this has nothing to do with the Sutton Family."
Actually, it did.
Her boyfriend Ronan Chandler was an excellent guy who, like her, was in the student council. As they spent time together, Aurora admired Ronan’s talent and character, and gradually developed feelings for him.
Ronan’s family conditions were average, but he was rather aloof and not very focused on superficial formalities, meaning he wasn’t particularly romantic.
Ronan used to treat her well, but ever since it came out that she wasn’t the real eldest daughter of the Sutton Family, Aurora sensitively felt that Ronan didn’t seem as good to her anymore.
The difference was minor, but since she’d long been with Ronan, she could quickly detect even the slightest change.
The inexplicable change only had one cause.
Recently, those who used to be accommodating in the student council weren’t very polite to her either. Today, a dispute broke out with several council leaders, who sarcastically accused her of occupying someone else’s position for twenty years and having the audacity to stay here.
Aurora knew her identity was problematic, but she had never actively tried to claim something that wasn’t hers. Hearing those words, she clashed with them and, in the heat of the moment, was pushed, leading to her injury.
What truly broke her heart was when Ronan said, "You’re also a Sutton daughter, why bother getting angry with them?"
It was others who initiated; she wasn’t the one causing trouble.
Her boyfriend not standing up for her, but instead claiming she was being immature, was something Aurora had never experienced before, and it shattered her emotions.
