Chapter 237: Chapter 237: Don’t I Have Anything Else to Do?

Thea Shaw stood by the side, smiling faintly without saying a word.

Chloe Shaw frowned with a hint of urgency, "Isn’t transferring here just fooling around? There’s only one branch here, not many people, and nothing much for entertainment around. Why are you coming along? Did they really agree to this?"

She transferred here because of a higher position and some prospects, but Felix Finch just got promoted from an intern. Transferring here would block his career path.

"They’ve already agreed."

Felix looked particularly aggrieved, "I’ve said it, how could one ask the leader to revoke the decision?"

Chloe was instantly choked silent.

With a company like this, once an application like Felix’s is approved, there’s no turning back if he regrets it.

Big companies aren’t that casual.

Chloe sighed, "Aren’t you joking about your future like this?"

Felix replied, "It’s fine, don’t worry, Chloe."

Chloe, in exasperation, said, "Stop calling me Chloe like that, call me sister."

Felix smiled without another word.

Thea interjected, "You’re wild, baby."

Isn’t there a saying? Younger ones don’t call you sister, it means they have a wild streak.

Felix’s intentions were quite clear, he didn’t argue with Chloe about it and opened the car door, "Chloe, let’s get in the car first."

He opened the front passenger door, while Thea, unbothered, went straight to the back seat.

Chloe glanced at Thea, gritted her teeth, and took the front passenger seat.

The Hummer had lots of space to spare, once on the road Felix started driving. Chloe, known for her sharp-tongued efficiency at work, surprisingly found herself at a loss for words to break the tense atmosphere. Instead, Felix eased the situation by asking Thea, "Thea, are you going to university here now?"

His question was so natural that it put everyone at ease. Thea, smiling, said, "I am attending university, but right now I’m taking courses at home with a private tutor, not actually going to campus. I’ll just handle exams and get my diploma."

"Oh?" Felix was a bit surprised, "Aren’t you curious to experience the campus life at your age?"

Thea replied, "There’s nothing much to experience, it’s just like that."

If you want to see Aurora Sutton and Zia Sutton’s university life, it’s all about busyness and running into a bunch of nutcases. Learning at home alone is so much more delightful.

Felix nodded thoughtfully, "Seems like Thea has her own ideas."

After that, he switched topics, "Chloe, you mentioned on the phone about picking up Uncle and Auntie. You mentioned before about bringing them to Aethelgard, does that mean they’ll be staying in Aethelgard permanently now?"

Feeling troubled about today’s events, Chloe felt somewhat relieved upon seeing Felix and nodded, "Yes, my parents aren’t leaving this time, they’ll be staying in Aethelgard with me in the future. Since both of us sisters are in Aethelgard, they have no reason to go back."

Felix’s eyes brightened, "Oh, so they’ll be in Aethelgard too, that’s convenient. Chloe, you can hang out with me during the New Year."

Chloe: "..." 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

She turned back to look at Thea, who had a knowing look and pulled out her phone to check the news to pass time.

Seeing this, Felix didn’t press her further and continued chatting with Chloe.

As they chatted, Thea received a message on her phone.

Yan: [It’s the weekend, you’re not having classes, aren’t you coming to find me?]

Thea, finding the previous boyfriend’s note name cheesy, changed it back to his actual name.

Thea looked at it, clicked her tongue, didn’t she have any other plans?
