Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master!-Chapter 23: Landon Ford Pays a Visit
What does changing or not changing have to do with him?
Is he hinting at something?
Is he going to send a photo once his phone is fixed?
In Thea’s mind, she couldn’t control the appearance of the photo from last night, and thinking about this very possible situation...
—Just thinking about it is exciting.
"Thea, what are you looking at?"
Mrs. Sutton’s question pulled Thea’s thoughts back, and she saw Mrs. Sutton giving her a look.
Thea understood, meaning it was not polite to look at her phone while Laney Blair was talking.
She coughed slightly, "Nothing much."
She couldn’t possibly say she was thinking about something inappropriate for children, right?
Who would have thought that the man she just met at a gathering could be so wild.
Thea thought of the words Zia Sutton used to describe Landon Ford—truly, rumors can be misleading.
Levi Blair stealthily nudged his mother, and Laney Blair suddenly caught on, smiling brightly, "Thea, I have a few words to discuss with your parents. Levi is visiting your home for the first time; how about you take him out for a little tour?"
Mr. and Mrs. Sutton’s expressions immediately stiffened.
Go out for a tour?
It sounded nice, but it was really an excuse to have Levi Blair and Thea alone.
Although they couldn’t afford to offend the Ford Family, seeing Laney Blair being so rude and lacking even the least bit of etiquette, Mr. Sutton’s face also darkened, just as he was about to speak, Thea smiled and spoke up, "It’s all villas outside, not much to see, and I slept late last night, so I’m not feeling well. Auntie, you and my parents go ahead and chat, I’ll go upstairs to rest."
Her voice was calm, her words a bit blunt, yet strangely made people feel appropriate and gentle.
As if it was meant to calm people, without stirring any other intentions.
Laney Blair was momentarily at a loss whether to blame or not, unsure what to say.
And with that, Thea didn’t give Levi Blair a glance, smiling as she turned and went upstairs.
Mr. and Mrs. Sutton breathed a sigh of relief, and Mrs. Sutton quickly smiled apologetically to Laney Blair, "Thea just got back, you know, because of these past twenty years, she’s still not familiar with this home, inevitably distant. Mrs. Blair, we’re really sorry."
Laney Blair could only be addressed as Mrs. Blair.
But whose wife is she actually?
Warren Ford would like to acknowledge it, but the Ford Family wouldn’t recognize it.
Even though Landon’s mother passed away long ago, the position of the Ford Family’s mistress isn’t something anyone can casually occupy.
Levi Blair stared at Thea’s back as she went upstairs, his face a bit unsightly.
He didn’t expect Thea to be so ungracious, but thinking of it, she indeed just returned from the countryside, so not wanting to follow the family routine was normal.
He could only stand there thinking of a way to deal with Thea.
The Sutton Family is a new affluent family in recent years, but still not worth mentioning compared to the Ford Family. Levi Blair thought this issue was not a big deal.
Mr. Sutton, after all, was a businessman, with a knack for saying the right things, so talking with Laney Blair didn’t let her pick any faults, not probing too much into Thea’s matters. Just then, a Sutton family servant walked in from outside, looking puzzled.
"Sir, Madam, there’s a guest outside wishing to visit, says the surname is Ford."
The person was uniquely dressed; the servant saw that this person seemed notable and didn’t dare stop him.
Mr. Sutton was stunned, "Ford?"
Levi Blair and Laney Blair also sat up straighter, looking towards the door.
The surname Ford was too sensitive. Did the Suttons know any other Fords?
Could it really be someone from the Ford Family visiting?
Before they could think more, a tall figure already approached the door, with a deep, maliciously playful voice:
"Uncle Sutton, Auntie Sutton, sorry for dropping by unannounced."
