Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master!-Chapter 205: My Leverage to Marry You in the Future
Thea squinted at Zia, feeling inexplicably annoyed.
It was certainly strange for a dream to spill into reality, but Thea felt the dream itself was absurd.
She was beaten up—who would have the audacity? If that really happened, the other party would at least have had a few bones broken by her.
But in the dream, Zia actually chose not to interfere. That was just too much!
Mrs. Sutton also glared at Zia: "Your sister had a dream where she got beaten up, and you, just standing by, did nothing to stop it."
Zia: "..."
He felt something in his head snapping into pieces.
That something was called intelligence.
Zia was absolutely dumbfounded: "You Shaws are really pushing it!"
The only one he’d seen act so irrationally was Celia Chambers. Last time, she claimed he argued with her in a dream and, surprisingly, she lost, prompting her to call and curse him out.
Zia wondered why was he getting into so much trouble?
Thea righteously protested: "How am I overreacting? You should do some self-reflection. People say troubled days bring troubled dreams, which means you somehow gave me this possible illusion, leading to the dream. You need to ask yourself why this happened."
Zia: "..."
At that moment, Zia understood what it meant to see snow fall in June.
Mr. Sutton and Mrs. Sutton couldn’t help but laugh, then tried to smooth things over: "Alright, alright, come down for breakfast. I heard Celia and Aurora are back too?"
Zia came down dejectedly: "Yes, but they both came back very late last night. We watched a movie together. Let’s not call them for breakfast, they’re probably going to rest a bit more since they don’t have morning classes."
Mrs. Sutton nodded and pointed to a chair: "Sit down and have breakfast first."
The little episode at the table passed, but Thea still couldn’t figure out why she had such a bizarre dream.
With this question lingering, she called Landon Ford.
"Dreaming?"
Landon raised an eyebrow: "Isn’t dreaming quite normal?"
"The content of the dream wasn’t normal."
Thea briefly described the dream to him, "Can’t quite express it, but I felt so angry and weird after waking up. I shouldn’t be having emotional swings over a dream."
"You got beaten up? And your brother didn’t stop it?" Landon’s tone turned grave: "Judging by that, he’s no good!"
Thea chuckled: "It was just a dream, just..."
Getting beaten to tears was something better left unmentioned, even if just a dream. Thea felt that Landon would mock her, "Maybe I’ve seen too much lately, conjuring all sorts of jumbled dreams. By the way, are we still visiting your dad today?" 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"No need, he flew out again today. Business abroad can’t be delayed; as long as he’s not bedridden, he has to handle it."
Thea sucked in a breath: "Didn’t expect Uncle Ford to be so rich yet still so hardworking."
Landon snorted, "Indeed, if he doesn’t put in effort on this matter, there’s a high chance he’ll lose decision-making power in the domestic core circle. I’d kick him out abroad then, so can he afford not to work hard?"
Thea exclaimed: "How ruthless this business world is. You two are father and son!"
"I’m not his only son. I’m merely striving for what’s mine, which will also be my leverage to marry you in the future."
Thea: "..."
Why did the conversation have to take such an unhealthy turn?
