Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master!-Chapter 194: Visiting Warren Ford
Zia Sutton and Mrs. Sutton exchanged a glance.
They spoke in unison, "No idea."
Julia Wyatt: "..."
They really had no clue how the two had suddenly become close in private.
From friends to lovers, the speed was unbelievably fast, and Zia Sutton never figured out where the problem lay.
Thea Shaw chuckled and waved her hand, saying, "Nothing special, just that fate has arrived, fate has arrived."
A few people discussed how Warren Ford had a car accident, but they didn’t speculate too much about it.
After dinner, Thea Shaw called Landon Ford, "Landon, did your dad have a car accident?"
The man, casually flipping through the company report, replied, "Yes, just a minor accident."
The car flipped over halfway, but people were rescued quickly, just some minor injuries, no big deal.
Thea Shaw couldn’t help but speculate, "Was it an accident?"
"Just an accident."
Landon Ford sneered, "His whereabouts were very secretive, and he had bodyguards with him, nothing much."
Besides, no one would target him; if they were going to target someone, it would be Landon Ford they were after.
The Ford Family is a big piece of meat; even if they really had an accident, it would involve many people, offending more than one faction, and no one would do such a futile thing.
Thea Shaw responded, "My mom said I should go see him. Did you visit him? Can you take me along to see him this afternoon then?"
Landon Ford was amused by Thea Shaw’s use of the word "take," "Alright, I’ll pick you up this afternoon."
When a father has a car accident, as a son, he should ideally visit first thing.
But Landon Ford was very busy, plus it’s not his role to be the quick-to-console son; Warren Ford’s illegitimate children and mistresses must be anxious, placating much faster than Landon Ford.
He just needed to wait and take Thea Shaw over to vex Warren Ford a bit.
-
In the afternoon, after work, Landon Ford picked up Thea Shaw and took her over.
In the car, noticing Thea Shaw carrying large bags of supplements arranged by Mrs. Sutton, Landon Ford coldly remarked, "Why bring these things? That old man won’t appreciate them."
He would definitely have them thrown out once Thea Shaw was gone.
Thea Shaw sighed, "Hey, it wasn’t my arrangement, my mom prepared them. That’s just the way it is, but we have to maintain proper etiquette; we can’t just visit him empty-handed."
Landon Ford: "You can visit empty-handed and still take some stuff from him."
People visiting him due to the accident were countless, and none skimped on gifts.
Thea Shaw: "..."
The skin was so thick that even she couldn’t manage it.
Landon Ford took Thea Shaw to the hospital where Warren Ford was, and Thea Shaw witnessed a scene like a royal palace.
An entire floor had bodyguards in every key position, and aside from Warren Ford, there was no one else on that floor.
He stayed in the largest ward, which was no different from a hotel.
He sat on the hospital bed, and the gifts from those visiting covered one entire wall.
It was indeed quite exaggerated.
Perhaps those visiting had gone through several rounds, and in the ward, besides Secretary Miller, there was only a particularly beautiful woman left.
Secretary Miller, seeing Landon Ford, respectfully greeted, "Young Master Ford, Miss Shaw."
He appeared quite grateful to Thea Shaw.
The woman, with an alluring demeanor, was quietly peeling fruit for Warren Ford; upon seeing Landon Ford arrive, she immediately stood up and carefully greeted, "Young Master Ford."
