Chapter 185: Chapter 185: Untitled

Next, it was Thea Shaw’s turn to look grim.

Landon Ford, however, seemed to be in a better mood. As he led Thea to the vegetable section, he said, "Don’t be ungrateful. I stayed up half the night looking at recipes just to make something you like. Would anyone else treat you like I do?"

Thea took her countering skills to the extreme: "But for things that takeout and restaurants can solve, why go through the trouble?"

Landon let out a cold laugh: "Thea, don’t be unappreciative."

Thea: "..."

She pointed to the seafood section, "I want scallops."

Alright then, since he told her not to be unappreciative, Thea immediately got down to picking out the dishes without holding back.

Landon: "You can have whatever you want."

This supermarket had everything fresh, so there was no worry about picking bad ones. The two of them bought a ton without any consideration of whether they could finish it all—after all, she wasn’t the one cooking.

Aurora Sutton and Iris Knight spotted the most eye-catching people in the supermarket from afar, Thea and Landon.

Aurora naturally didn’t go over to say hello, she wasn’t familiar with Landon.

Iris noticed that a handsome stranger was walking beside the girl they just saw, exceptionally good-looking as if drawn with the finest brush. He and the girl exchanged words casually, and whatever the girl said made him chuckle as he poked her on the head with a finger.

Their interaction caught Iris’s interest, but of course, she was tactful enough not to question who the man was.

After shopping, the two of them left the supermarket and went directly to Landon’s place, which wasn’t the Ford Family mansion.

Along the way, they passed by a shop, and Landon pulled over: "Come with me, I need to pick up something for my grandfather that we’ll give to someone tomorrow."

"Sure."

Thea followed him out of the car. The place where the shop was located wasn’t a high-end area; it looked pretty ordinary instead.

The staircase was outside, and Landon led Thea up.

As they headed upstairs, a staff member came out from below carrying a large cardboard box.

He seemed to glance at Landon and Thea, an ordinary-looking young man, whom both Landon and Thea instinctively glanced at before retracting their gazes.

But the young man, whether he tripped or something else, fell to the ground, the box smashing down, spilling a neat pile of packaged boxes.

The commotion made Landon and Thea look again.

The young man seemed embarrassed, and scolding could be heard nearby, so Thea glanced at him again before Landon led her into a shop on the second floor.

The young man looked up at Landon’s back, then after loading the boxes back up, he squatted silently for a while, tightly clenching his fist, his eyes flashing with anger, and then got up and carried the box away.

This shop on the second floor had a style that seemed like something from the last century, very retro, appearing to be a pawnshop.

Once inside, someone who was guarding the place handed Landon a small embroidered box without any questions. Landon took it and left.

Thea glanced at it and asked, "What’s in it?"

"I don’t know," Landon replied casually. "My grandfather asked me to get it; maybe it’s something from his past."

He didn’t seem inclined to open it, and Thea nodded, asking no more. An elderly person’s privacy should be respected.

When they came back down, Thea noticed the young man from before had disappeared.

Landon couldn’t help but ask, "What are you looking at?"
