Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master!-Chapter 122: Are You Thinking of Buying a House?
Mr. Shaw had a lot on his mind, so he didn’t ask much about this matter.
Thea couldn’t possibly know what he was thinking, but she knew Mr. Shaw would definitely feel out of place.
After all, the difference between the Sutton Family and the Shaw Family was significant, although, in her eyes, there wasn’t much difference.
She shifted Mr. Shaw’s attention, "Dad, what do you and sis want to eat tonight?"
Mr. Shaw immediately replied, "Looking at you two, I’m not picky, I’ll eat anything."
Mr. Shaw looked at the surrounding scenery somewhat wistfully, the big city really was different.
He had only visited a few times before, and never properly explored; the food here, the shopping, the way people dress, all seemed far from their countryside.
Looking at Thea in front of him, though she had only been back for a short time, she seemed to have already integrated, he felt there was a difference compared to before, yet she remained the same daughter in Mr. Shaw’s memory.
Today, Mr. Shaw came, and Chloe left work early by taking leave.
By the time they returned, it was nearly Chloe’s off-duty time.
She hurried downstairs and saw Mr. Shaw and Thea waiting for her.
"Dad, Thea."
Chloe called out while carrying her bag, "I’ve booked a restaurant for dinner, let’s head home first and then take a cab to dine. My place is too small, I’ve booked a hotel for you, we’ll go after dinner. Tomorrow let me know if you wish to go sightseeing, I took leave to accompany you."
Mr. Shaw waved his hand saying, "No need to go through all that trouble, I’m fine with anything."
He didn’t want to trouble his daughter, but neither daughter minded such trivial things; Chloe led them to first take the bags over.
Mrs. Blair had brought Thea plenty of local specialties; from where they were, besides other things, the strawberries were exceptionally good. Mr. Shaw had brought a few boxes of large, red strawberries, along with other specially made foods for her.
Mr. Shaw suggested she take some to the Sutton Family, "Just some small things, they won’t mind, right?"
"Of course not."
The Sutton Family aren’t like that.
After finishing dinner, accompanying Mr. Shaw on another round, Thea took a bunch of things and caught a cab home.
Upon arriving home, she coincidentally ran into Zia Sutton and Aurora Sutton who had both returned.
Thea carried the things over to greet them, "Come have some strawberries, my dad brought them."
Her habitual way of addressing made Aurora and Zia realize she meant her foster father.
Without further thought, they stepped over to help Thea sort out that pile of things, and the housekeeper came to take them to the kitchen and help wash the strawberries. Thea then asked, "Where’s Mom?"
Aurora replied, "You know, Mom goes to bed really early. Your foster dad came over? Already gone back?"
Thea shook her head, "Not yet, staying at my sister’s hotel."
Zia then said, "You can have him come rest at our place, we have plenty of rooms."
Zia hadn’t met Thea’s foster parents yet.
Thea clicked her tongue, "No need, our home is too far, by the time you head to my sister’s place, it’s already close to noon. It’s more convenient staying at my sister’s. Next time there’s a chance, I’ll have them come to the Sutton Family. I’m planning to buy a house in Aethelgard so they’ll move to Aethelgard. Since my sister is here now, there’s no one back at the hometown, they can’t stay there forever."
Aurora and Zia exchanged looks, recalling how Thea’s side job as a feng shui master had earned from the Kensington Group; they understood Thea’s idea, Aurora even offered, "Are you planning to buy a house? Kensington Group has a project recently opened for sale, the environment’s quite suited for a family. If you’re interested, should I mention it to Grandpa?"
