Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!-Chapter 47 -: 46 The calm before the storm.[1]
The crowd started whispering right away.
"What? What is she even saying?"
"Is she crazy? Who says something like that in a speech?"
"Hmph, so arrogant. Does she think she’s a god or something?"
"That’s why nobles are evil. They always think they’re better than everyone!"
"Are these people even human?"
The murmurs grew louder and angrier. Some nobles just frowned, but most commoners in the back were shaking their heads in displeasure.
Rosalina didn’t care.
She kept the same cool, proud face the whole time, like she was above it all. Chin high, eyes half-closed, tiny smirk still on her lips.
"That is all," she said calmly.
Then she turned and walked back toward the curtain, heels clicking like she owned the whole stage.
Julius was already waiting there. He clapped loudly the second she stepped through.
"Well done, my lady!" he said with a big grin.
"I didn’t know you could look even more beautiful while saying such bold things."
Rosalina’s cheeks turned a soft pink, but she quickly lifted her chin higher.
"Hmph. It’s the truth, after all."
"Yes, yes," Julius laughed softly. "But the way you said it? Perfect. Made it ten times prettier."
He stepped closer and pulled out a small photo from his pocket.
"Look," he said, holding it up so she could see. "This is exactly how you looked just now. Beautiful, right?"
The picture showed her on stage, chin up, eyes sharp, that proud little smirk. She really did look stunning.
"Hmph!" Rosalina’s face got even redder. "I’m always beautiful!"
She walked past him quickly so he wouldn’t see how shy she suddenly felt.
Julius carefully put the photo back in his pocket, making sure it didn’t get bent or folded. Then he followed her with a playful smile.
"So, babe," he asked as they walked, "what do you think? Are they mad?"
"Can’t you hear them?" Rosalina shot back without turning around.
"If your plan doesn’t work, I’m getting zero votes in this election."
Her voice sounded sharp, but Julius couldn’t see her face.
If he could, he would have noticed her lips curving into a tiny, secret smile.
Julius just chuckled.
"Yeah, you’re right."
They kept walking together toward the main academy building.
Today they had class in the Star Room, the special one only the top six students were assigned to.
Rosalina stayed quiet for a few steps. She was trying to calm her fast heartbeat.
Julius walked close behind her, hands in his pockets, looking relaxed and happy.
They walked quietly down the hallway for a few minutes until they stopped in front of a fancy door.
Above it, in shiny gold letters, it said "Star Class."
Julius stepped forward and pushed the door open with a soft creak.
"Thanks, bab—" Rosalina started to say "thanks babe," but she caught herself.
"Hmph!!" She let out her cute little snort instead and walked in first, head high like always.
The second they stepped inside, every eye in the room turned to them.
There weren’t many students, just six in total, including them.
The classroom felt fancy and quiet, with big windows, polished desks, and a huge chalkboard at the front.
In one corner sat Cillian, talking quietly to Alia Ruth. The other two girls were chatting softly near the window.
Alia Ruth turned her head the moment she saw Rosalina... and then Julius. Her eyes instantly went ice-cold, full of pure hate.
"My, my," she said in a super sarcastic voice, loud enough for everyone to hear. "Is it who I think it is?"
Rosalina didn’t answer. She just walked straight to the middle row like she owned the place.
Julius followed calmly, not even looking at Alia. He took the seat right behind Rosalina.
But Alia wasn’t done.
"Is it the little arrogant princess... and her lap dog?" she added with a mean smile.
Julius heard it and thought, ’You really think so?’ A small, happy smile spread across his face.
To him, being called Rosalina’s "lap dog" actually sounded like a compliment.
Rosalina, though? On the outside, she kept her cool face, chin up, eyes half-closed, tiny smirk. But inside?
Poof!
A tiny Rosalina popped up on her left shoulder.
This one had glowing red eyes full of rage. She held a flaming lance and looked ready to stab someone.
"That bitch!! How dare she?!" the angry mini-Rosalina screamed at Alia.
"Calm down," the real Rosalina thought back, trying to stay chill. "We can’t get angry right now."
"Kill her right now!!" the wrath version yelled.
"She disrespected hubby! I’m warning you, kill her right now!!"
Rosalina’s hands clenched into tight fists. A vein popped out on her forehead.
Poof!
Another tiny Rosalina appeared, this time on her right shoulder.
This one was an angel version, with little white wings and a soft halo. She waved her hands frantically.
"We can’t do that!!!" the angel Rosalina cried. "Hubby’s plans will all be for nothing if we lose patience!"
The two mini-Rosalinas glared at each other over her head, one ready to throw fire, the other begging for peace.
Rosalina took a slow, deep breath. She forced her fists to relax.
’Not now,’ she told herself. ’Julius has a plan. Just wait.’
She stared straight ahead, pretending Alia didn’t exist.
Julius leaned forward just a little, close enough so only Rosalina could hear.
"Easy, babe," he whispered with a soft chuckle. "Let them talk. The fun part comes soon."
Rosalina didn’t turn around, but the corner of her mouth twitched, just a tiny bit.
Alia didn’t stop. Even though Rosalina and Julius stayed perfectly calm, she kept talking louder and meaner.
"How unfortunate for humans," she said, clicking her tongue hard.
"The two greatest geniuses on our whole continent... are these two?"
She pointed straight at them with a nasty smile.
"One is the full picture of arrogance, and the other is just a simp. Tsk tsk... how sad. The Zlycons might even be better than them!"
She kept going, laughing at her own words.
"This bitch!" the angry mini-Rosalina shouted.
She flew off Rosalina’s shoulder like a tiny rocket and started punching the air right in front of Alia’s face.
Punch! Punch! Kick! She was so mad she looked ready to explode.
The angel mini-Rosalina ran after her, flapping her little wings.
"Stop! We have to make peace!" she begged. But it didn’t matter. No one in the class could see the tiny Rosalinas anyway.
On the outside, Rosalina sat still as a statue. Her face stayed cool and proud, chin high, eyes half-closed. But inside?
Her heart was on fire with pure killing anger.
’I swear... I swear on my Julius...’ she thought, gritting her teeth until they hurt. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
’If I don’t make your life way more miserable than the death I will give you... then... I’m not kissing him even after our marriage!!!!’
