Villain: The Play of Destiny-Chapter 151
Julian and Naomi nervously looked at their older sister, who was happily chatting with Keith as they had their dinner.
They did not understand how she suddenly became so supportive of their incestuous relationship when she had stayed quiet about it all this time.
Last year, when Julian had been caught kissing Naomi by their mother, Rebecca had not stepped forward to save him. She had not even said anything when Naomi was asked to leave the Grayson Manor by their mother and was told to never come there again.
"Rebecca..." Naomi nervously called out to her.
"Yes?" The oldest of the Grayson siblings brightly smiled at her younger sister, and Naomi found herself at a loss for what she should say or ask.
Keith briefly glanced between Julian and Naomi and sighed in his heart.
He knew that the two of them dearly loved each other, but he also knew that Destiny did not have a happy ending in store for them.
In the dream that he had, he remembered that Julian had joined the Netherian Special Forces through the Assessment Exams later this year in December. Naomi and he planned on later joining the secret services, and the Grayson Heir had decided on breaking his engagement and abdicating his position as the Heir of the Family to his cousin. They planned on living away from their Family with each other.
However, no such thing came to be as Julian and Naomi died in a secret operation a year later. It was the event that broke Rebecca down, and the blonde girl had always blamed herself for never stepping forward to support the two of them. It was one of her only regrets till the very end of her plan of Destiny.
But Keith did not plan to let things go according to the plan Destiny had prepared for Julian and Naomi. It was partly because he did not want Rebecca to break down, and most importantly, he knew how hard it was to raise talented and loyal subordinates who could be trusted.
Both Julian and Naomi were perfect for such a position.
"Will you help us?" Julian finally asked as he hopefully looked at his sister.
"No." Rebecca shook her head. "I won't ask Mom to accept your relationship. We both know that she would not accept it even if I support you on this."
Her words broke down their hope, and both of her younger siblings lowered their heads.
They knew that what she said was right. There was not really any way for them to officially get married with the blessing of their family.
"Well, at least, your engagement with the Falken girl is off." Rebecca playfully giggled. "One less worry for you." She tried to cheer them up.
Julian sighed at her words and nodded his head.
"What should we do?" Naomi whispered.
"The only thing you can do, which would not make me look down on the two of you is that you must not give up on each other." Rebecca seriously looked at them. "If you let Naomi marry someone else, I would never let you call me your sister." She stubbornly said, and Julian broke out in a helpless chuckle.
"I am not marrying anyone else!" Naomi made it clear.
"Even if you did not say it, I never planned on giving up on her." The blonde boy informed his oldest sister and looked at Keith, who was focusing on his meal. "Keith..."
"I told you. I won't judge you." He knew what the boy was worried about. "To me, as it is to anyone in the Ancient Families, a relationship between a brother and sister is not odd. You may not know this, but my Family branched out of an Ancient Family." He smiled at him. "So rest assured that I don't mind it. And frankly, I think a sister would make a better wife to anyone than a girl who's a stranger." He shrugged.
"Oh..." Both Julian and Naomi looked at him in surprise.
Rebecca could not help but burst into giggles when she heard his words.
Though he had never told her about it, she had long figured out that Kiara was his little sister. It was not too hard to guess given their similar features and personality that she could make out after all those medical books and lessons he gave her. And then there was the fact that little miss Angelini loved calling him brother.
Keith finished his meal and then sipped on some white wine.
"You should focus on your Cultivation." He suddenly said to the two of them, which caught Julian and Naomi by surprise. "You are fairly talented in it. So, don't waste your talent."
"What's your Cultivation Realm?" Julian asked. He had been quite curious about it for some time now. After all, Keith had come out of a terrible car crash completely unscathed.
"I am currently in the middle stage of the Great Profound Realm." He did not hide it.
Even if the word got out, it did not matter to him since his true strength was far greater than his Realm of Cultivation. Besides, Keith knew that the blonde boy would not reveal it to anyone.
"What?!" Both Julian and Naomi looked at him in shock.
"Yes." He nodded, telling them that they had not heard him wrong.
Rebecca was really tempted to tell her siblings that she was about to step into the Nascent Profound Realm, but she knew that it was not something she could reveal to them. After all, just two months ago, she had not even started Cultivating.
"How are you already in Great Profound Realm?!" Julian asked in disbelief. "You are only 19!"
"I am 19." He chuckled. "But I am also very talented in Cultivation." He shrugged.
Even though Julian was really tempted to ask if he had any special method, he did not pry into Keith's secrets.
The group then chatted about the entertainment plaza, The Element, that opened up to the public last evening. Julian sincerely congratulated him on the continuous success of his Business Group, and also poked fun at him for having such a crazy fanbase.
Rebecca and Naomi happily chatted with each other after a very long time, and they went through the social media, watching and reading things about Keith and laughing at even the smallest of things that they found funny.
The two sisters did not seem like they would stop anytime soon, so Keith asked Julian to show him a guestroom where he could get some rest.
It had been a very long last 48 hours, and he had barely gotten any sleep.
When he woke up, it was already late in the afternoon, and he found a familiar weight pressing on his chest and a conformable warmth hugging him.
He always found how Rebecca would cling onto him, just like she would do to her Teddy Bears, quite heartwarming. She looked so carefree and loveable, and he could not help his affection as he planted a kiss on her head.
Though he was quite reluctant to leave her alone in the bed, he carefully got up and picked up his phone before walking to the couch.
Keith went through the massages he had received, and as expected, there were some from Qingyue. She had sent him the picture of the agreement that she had signed as well that the settlement that she had reached with the Lin Family.
He smiled when he saw that she had managed to take assets worth nearly 14 Billion Neris from the Lin Family. And they included the Snack and Beverage Brands that Celine had brought to the Lin Family in dowry, as well as a Whiskey Brand, and a Media and Publication Company. However, Lin Houtian was really shrewd, and he decided to cut ties with the Brands that now belonged to Qingyue, intending to interrupt the supply chain of these businesses.
Houtian wanted to teach his rebellious and stubborn daughter a lesson, but he had underestimated Qingyue's ability.
Though in anyone else's hands these businesses might suffer and even come crashing down, his dear Yue was built differently. He had complete confidence in her abilities and expressed that in the text he sent her.
He also assured Celine that everything was fine on his side. The grey-eyed woman was worried after he had suddenly left last night, and after assuring her, he sent a message to his little sister, who wanted to know when he would be coming home.
After going through all the messages, Keith put his phone aside and smiled at Rebecca, who was still sleeping, and then heheaded into the dressing room to freshen up.
When Keith left the room and came downstairs, he ended up walking into an argument that Julian was having with his mother, who by the looks of it, had just arrived there.
"You are not staying here!" Susana angrily told Julian.
"Mom..."
Whatever the blonde boy was about to say was cut as Keith interjected.
"Good Afternoon, Aunty!" He brightly said and then calmly walked up to Susana, who was flustered to find him there.
"Keith!" But the Lady of the Grayson Family school her expressions and stepped forward to greet him with a welcoming hug. "How come you are here?" She curiously asked.
"Rebecca asked me to come over to check up on Naomi after she suffered an accident whilst Cultivating." He told her.
"You are a doctor?" She surprisedly asked.
"Oh. Rebecca did not tell you about it?" He feigned surprise and asked back, and Susana shook her head. "Well, I am indeed a doctor. And a really good one at that." He chuckled. "Naomi is fine now." He assuringly said, and Susana nodded her head before glancing at her son.
"Congratulations on the completion of your first projects!" She suddenly said, changing the topic. "We watched the events live, and my, my, you have a fanbase!"
"Aahaha... Yes!" He lightly laughed and nodded to her before looking at Julian. "Is lunch ready?"
"It is. You can sit down and I will arrange for it." Julian told him. "Is Rebecca up?"
"No," Keith said and then involved Susana in a chat as he sat down with her on the couch.
He had his meal whilst chatting with Julian and Susana, and only when Rebecca woke up and came downstairs, he excused himself and decided to head back to Sameran City with Yingying.
Keith knew that the Family needed to talk over some things he should not get involved in, and with Rebecca there, things would not get out of hand for both Susana and Julian.
