Villain Simulator-Chapter 90: Seven is my Lucky Number
Adrian POV:
’Life really is full of mystery.’
『Sometimes, it introduces you to people and things you almost forgot existed in places you never could have imagined—giving you unexpected surprises.』
Coincidentally, something similar happened with me today when the group of those three girls came in front of me, and my gaze fell on a girl among them.
’She seems oddly familiar.’
It felt like I knew her—a character I had written about.
Once again, I looked at her—this time, even more thoroughly.
She was a delicate, slender girl with a fragile appearance.
Her pale skin contrasted with her long, mousy-brown hair that tumbled down her back in disheveled waves.
Her hazel eyes, dulled and downcast, hinted at a weariness that seemed far beyond her years.
She wore oversized clothes—a once-white, now dingy gray, long-sleeved shirt draped loosely on her frame, paired with her trousers that had patchwork repairs.
Her leather boots were scuffed, and an oversized bag was slung over her shoulders, completing her picture, which I searched for in my mind.
I knew her. I was certain.
But her name couldn’t come to my lips.
I became curious, and so I paused after completing the sentence, moved towards her, and gave one minute to those three girls.
"I am a man of my word. If I say I will not let you die here, I mean it. No question can be asked; just come forward. One person who wants to fight, I will give you 1 minute to think."
While they contemplated, I casually asked the oddly familiar, weak-looking porter girl who now stood beside me.
"Isn’t that right?"
My sudden question seemed to have startled the terrified girl, who fearfully opened her mouth.
"Y... Yes, my lord."
Her weak demeanor triggered my sadistic impulses, but my curiosity was greater, so I asked directly without wasting any time.
"What’s your name?"
"K...Kiara lord."
Kiara.
’Kiara, Kiara... Ah! Kiara... I remember now.’
My mind clicked—I recognized who she was.
Kiara Thronfield.
She wasn’t a heroine nor a villain—just an abandoned, extra character—used and killed by her own sister.
The dead twin sister of the heroine: Princess Rose Thronfield.
In my novel, I simply used Kiara to highlight the ruthless nature of Rose, where Kiara was simply mentioned as a character that existed in the past.
But now...
My eyes turned to her, standing beside me.
’I never hoped you would be alive.’
The half-heir of the Thornfield Royal family of the United Kingdom—the key to conquering a whole continent—stood here in front of me.
It was simply an unrealistic situation.
’Is it because of my luck?’
I couldn’t help but wonder, because it was the most plausible explanation.
’Seems like seven is indeed my lucky number.’
The 3000 UC spent were worth it.
A plan formed in my mind immediately, and without hesitation, I smiled and proposed with a meaningful glint in my eyes.
"Kiara, lovely name. Say, Kiara, do you want to make a bet?"
"I... I don’t know."
"Then think about it, because you know you’re a witness too to what’s happening here, so getting alive here is almost an impossibility."
Gulp!
Shocked by my blunt, cruel words said with a smile, Kiara swallowed her dry saliva and subconsciously took a step back.
But then, as if realizing something, she stopped and looked at me in the eyes.
"Am I going to die?
"Unfortunatey, yes."
I nodded and continued.
"I don’t trust you, and you see, if what is happening here gets out, I will have to deal with a lot of trouble."
"I see."
She nodded.
Surprisingly, her reaction was remarkably calm. Knowing that, I still gave her the bait.
"However, if you win the bet, I will let you live."
"I see."
Once again, she replied flatly, as if she had accepted her fate.
’Do you think I am playing with you and won’t let you live anyway?’
But thinking so, when I took a closer look at her, I realized that wasn’t the case.
Her eyes, looking at me, were dead tired, and I immediately understood why she was so uninterested.
’She hasn’t accepted her fate.’
Rather...
’She really wants to die.’
In the novel, I hadn’t written much about her. Just that she was a porter, living a hard life.
But it was obvious, looking at her, that the hard life had taken too much of a toll on her.
’Then she needs hope. I have to increase the incentives.’
Realizing this, I spoke again.
"In addition, I will grant you one wish. Any wish. Money, power, a better life, and education. Anything you want."
My words, like a candyman reciting the names of new sweet candies to little kids, made Kiara’s expressions change as her eyes widened subconsciously.
"A... anything, my Lord?"
"Yes."
"But... what if I lose?"
’She’s sharp.’
I praised her inwardly, but my outer countenance remained unchanged as I replied.
"You will be my captive, and maybe not at the same time, but your fate will be the same as that of those three girls."
Shiver!
Hearing my sweet words, for some reason, a shudder went down Kiara’s spine.
She didn’t know what I would do to those girls, but she understood that it would be something worse than death.
Nonetheless, she didn’t care about them—those three were trash anyway, and they could die if she cared.
But I knew that Kiara herself wouldn’t want such a fate.
Not to mention the reward.
I could feel the desire in her eyes—she too wanted something. And so, her next reply was exactly what I had expected.
"Lord, what’s the bet on?"
Bingo!
"Bet on who would win. Sylvia, or those three girls. Sylvia has to win three times, and any of those three girls has to defeat her only once. Understood?"
"Yes, Lord."
"Good. You can choose first. Which side are you choosing? Choose wisely."
Surprised, she immediately went into deep thought, her expression a tangled mess.
"I... choose... Sylvia... No, no, I choose the girls."
"So you chose those three girls?"
"Yes, yes."
She nodded like a chicken, and I smiled in acknowledgement, but before I could speak, Ashley’s voice that came from some distance made me stop.
"We chose to bet."
Hearing her voice, my eyes turned playful. I patted Kiara, gestured for Sylvia to come forward, and then turned to those girls.
"Good decision."
....
The sun hung high in the sky, casting dappled shadows through the trees as I watched the open field in front of me.
Beside me were Kiara, sitting on her bag, and Charlotte, tying the unconscious supervisor of the three girls.
On my gesture, Sylvia came forward and stood at the center.
Opposite her, Ashley, Brittney, and Heather, who had bullied her for far too long, exchanged glances and whispers.
Flap-flap!
The coastal breeze ruffled my robes as I silently observed Heather, who came first.
"I am up first. Remember, whoever wins gets to leave this dungeon alive?"
Sylvia nodded at that and took a deep breath, her eyes locking onto her opponent.
Her confidence was unwavering, and she was determined to not let any of these bitches go out alive today.
"3... 2... 1... Start!"
On my call, both the girls jumped back.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
The invisible mana, visible to me because of my trait [Mana affinity], swirled in their hands.
[Water Spikes]
[Flame Burst]
They both cast their spells at the same time.
But Sylvia, who had already identified Heather’s spell by just looking at it, quickly jumped from her place after casting.
Boom! Boom!
Consequently, the flame bursts hit no one, but that wasn’t the case for Sylvia’s spell.
The water spikes that shot out of the ground hit Heather despite her attempts to avoid them.
"—Ahhhhhh!!!"
Heather screamed in agony.
But then she controlled it quickly and took out her staff, raised it up, and cast swiftly.
[Mana Shield.]
A shimmering barrier enveloped her, and she quickly took a health recovery potion.
"You think you can beat me, Heather? You’re a pathetic bitch."
Sylvia’s lips curled into a determined smile, and she mocked.
However, opposite her—Heather—and behind Heather—the remaining two girls—all had a shocked look on their faces, as if they had seen a ghost.
Even in their wildest imagination, they never thought that Sylvia, whom they looked down upon, would be so strong.
But her life depended on this match, so Heather immediately put her shock at the back of her head temporarily.
She was done taking her potion and immediately replied to Sylvia.
"We will see about that."
"Then, I will show you gladly."
With a flick of her wrist, Sylvia unleashed a barrage of [Mana Missiles].
Swoosh!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Each one striking Heather’s shield.
The shield held, but the impact sent Heather stumbling backward.
Mocking laughter echoed through the area as Sylvia jeered from the front.
"You can’t even handle my basic spells!"
Heather’s face flushed with anger, and she retaliated with a burst of fire magic.
[Flame Dance]
Flames erupted from her fingertips, dancing dangerously close to Sylvia, who barely managed to create an [Ice Wall] in the nick of time.
The forest filled with steam as the fire and ice clashed.

Because of her low stats, Sylvia’s breath quickened, and her mana depleted substantially.
"You’re stronger than I thought, Heather, but I won’t give up."
Ruthlessness flashed through Sylvia’s eyes, and before giving Heather any chance to stand up, she unleashed a destructive skill of her Archmage Class.
"Arcane Nova"
Instantly...
Booom!
The area exploded with blinding light and a shockwave that shattered Heather’s [Mana Shield]
Crack!
Bang!
"—Ahhhhh!!!"
She screamed as the wild energy overwhelmed her, sending her body tumbling to the ground, her clothes tattered, and her body injured.
"Hisss!"
Heather tried to stand up and cast spells immediately, but she couldn’t. Her bones were broken, and her mana was depleted trying to barely block that attack.
’So, that’s the Archmage Class, which can help you fight beyond levels.’
I nodded in satisfaction and looked at Sylvia, who stood panting and trembling.
Opposite her, Heather became aware of her situation.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she realized her defeat.
Despair clouded her being, and left with no choice, she begged.
"Please, Sylvia, spare me."
"Spare you? Hahahaha."
Hearing Heather’s plea, Sylvia laughed like a maniac. Her eyes burned with ruthless fire.
"Did you spare me when you bullied me? You called me a whore, bitch. That I don’t deserve to live. You even assaulted me and my father."
"W... what are you saying? Which father?"
Heather tried to explain, but Sylvia was having none of it.
"Lying even at the last moment, die!"
[Mana Bullet]
Bang!
Splatter!
Heather’s head exploded like a watermelon.
"HAHAHAHA..."
Finally, after killing one of her three life-and-death enemies, Sylvia laughed again in relief.
Nonetheless, she came back to her senses after hearing my words.
"Okay! Break for 3 minutes."
She nodded and silently moved back to drink Mana recovery potions.
But it was then that, standing beside me, Charlotte, who was strangely silent during the whole time, finally opened her mouth.
"Master, it seems like your favorite girl, Sylvia, will win."
"Favourite? Are you jealous?"
Flustered, Charlotte tried to explain.
"I... No, why would I be?"
But I ignored her and spoke.
"You’re wrong."
I paused, bent forward, and whispered in her ears.
"Today, Sylvia is destined to lose."
