Villain Simulator-Chapter 86: Preparations for the wonderful show
Adrian POV:
There were many reasons for me to kill those three girls.
First, they were from backgrounds that were in a competitive relationship with our Vaiself Guild, so getting rid of them was an obvious decision.
Second, they were already against me since I stood for Sylvia, and they were a thorn in my future plans.
Besides, Rachael’s event was coming, and after that, I had to go to a real world with a long storyline.
I was unsure of how long it would take me there, and in the meantime, there was a chance those girls could cause trouble while I was away.
Hence, there was no reason for me to keep them alive.
’Better squeeze them dry of their last use value before sending them to hell.’
I was a thorough person.
If I undertook something, I ensured it was done cleanly, leaving no loose ends behind, or I wouldn’t undertake it at all.
With that in mind, I called Sylvia and asked for her opinion.
Of course, this was all just a formality, because her answer was already within my expectations.
"Kill."
She said only one word, but she spoke it with such ferocious emotions that even across the call, I could tell Sylvia had fallen right into my trap.
However, taking those girls’ lives required careful planning, and it couldn’t be done openly.
Furthermore, since Sylvia had already willingly offered herself to me, there was no need for me to adhere strictly to the original plan when it came to dealing with those girls.
Some changes were necessary.
Accordingly, I made a new plan.
"Good, then let’s lure them out."
"Lure, where?"
"To a Dungeon Crack..."
Inside the Dungeons, murders happen frequently, and because the neglect of the United States Dungeon Department (USDD) continued, it became more like that.
USDD was already facing difficulty maintaining security outside the cracks with their lack of manpower, and they naturally didn’t care much about what happens inside a Dungeon crack.
Nonetheless, listening to me, Sylvia hesitated.
It wasn’t because of morality or that she doubted me.
Rather...
"Isn’t the risk too great? What about the aftermath?"
Even in an extremely ferocious state, she was sensible enough to judge the risks.
’Should I say as expected of the heroine?’
The aftermath was indeed the main problem, because otherwise Sylvia wouldn’t have suffered so much bullying from them until now.
Nonetheless, I had no desire to deny her claims because there was no need to.
She had already set foot in my trap, and now all her reactions were well within my expectations.
"I will not say that there are no risks, but let’s be honest. Now is the best opportunity if you want to deal with them."
"Best opportunity?"
Sylvia sounded confused, and a smile appeared on my face upon hearing her, as I explained.
"Let’s just say we don’t take this opportunity and clear them. They will grow up, and their positions in their guilds and organizations will grow, which means more security will be provided to them and more they will be in the limelight..."
Nothing else came out of my mouth.
There was no need to.
The rest was self-explanatory, and so I just allowed Sylvia to run her own train of thought and reach a conclusion on her own.
Regardless, though, it didn’t matter what she thought because her answer was already set in stone
"Yes, you’re right; we need to kill them now."
As expected, Sylvia, who gave everything some thought for a moment, finally agreed with me and even went one step further.
"No... I will kill them all myself... but... how are we going to lure them?"
"Oh, that’s simple; we will use you as bait."
"Huh, me?"
"Hehe, yes."
* * * * *
After explaining everything to Sylvia, I came back home and immediately started my training with Charlotte.
My fingers were already back to normal because of my rapid increase in stats and the health potions I took.
Therefore, I could train without any problems.
Clank!
Our swords clashed against one another, and feeling my new strength, Charlotte couldn’t help but cheer in shock.
"Wow! Master! For a second, I couldn’t recognize you."
"Now you do. Focus on the match."
But I refused to speak too much on the topic and charged towards Charlotte once again with my sword.
Clank!
Nevertheless, it was once again easily blocked by her.
Despite her childish nature, when needed, Charlotte was smart enough, and sensing my intention to not talk about the topic, she also didn’t ask further.
Clank!
We focused on training once again.
Training with Charlotte was the best way to get used to my explosive increase in strength.
With her, there was no fear of causing harm to anyone.
Updated from freewёbnoνel.com.
She was vastly superior in strength to me, making each of my attacks seem like child’s play to her.
However, since I had improved a lot, she couldn’t entirely ignore my efforts anymore.
Clank!
Every strike I made, even though it was still no match for her, required her to either dodge or parry with her own sword.
"Master, you’re getting better at this."
"I know."
My reply was short, not because I didn’t want to speak more, but because I was too exhausted, unlike Charlotte, who still didn’t break a sweat.
’I need to get stronger; if I can’t even defeat Charlotte, how will I even defeat the protagonist and... "them?"’
The fire of determination burned inside me, and my Pride (A) flared up.
My resolve grew stronger, and I increased the intensity of our practice sessions.
But no matter how strong my resolve, at the end of the day, I too was a human, so when the sun set and the day turned to night, my body finally couldn’t support me anymore.
My consciousness finally faded into the darkness mid-training, and the last thing I saw was the sight of Charlotte rushing towards me.
"Master!!!"
...
Time passed, and when I finally came to my senses, it was already the next morning, and I found myself on the bed, wrapped in Charlotte’s arms, her warmth giving comfort to my heart.
’Sigh! Silly girl.’
Nevertheless, I didn’t allow myself to dwell on these emotions for long.
I didn’t have the time for it because the moment had come to set my plan into motion.
Subsequently, today too, I didn’t go to the Magic Tower and just told the Tower Mage Roman through the Golden Card that I would be on leave.
Following that, I had a hearty breakfast where I checked up on Rachael’s well-being and then ensured that all the preparations were in place.
’It’s time to go.’
With everything set and ready, I made my way to the location where I would execute my plan.
It was a Dungeon-prone area in the Bronk, NYC—an area where the crime rate was considerably higher.
However, since it was a small area where low-grade cracks often occur, it was a spot famous among newbie players.
Today, I wasn’t with my luxurious entourage, but in an unknown Honda Civic with Charlotte.
Since it was a covert operation, we also changed our appearance through makeup and a few face-changing artifacts.
They were not full proof, but for now they were enough.
In front of us was an empty field with a couple of cafes and shops surrounding it.
The whole field was covered in cracks, and there were even places where multiple cracks were adjacent to each other.
Our goal was also one of those cracks.
More specifically, a crack besides the one that those three girls had booked for themselves.
"Found it."
Charlotte shouted, pointing at a location, and my eyes lit up.
I nodded and said to Charlotte,
"Let’s go."
Charlotte and I did not hesitate any longer, and after parking our car, we headed straight towards the Crack I had chosen for today.
However, the moment we approached near the crack...
"Stop right there."
The department staff, who were the guards here, shouted and came in front of us.
"This place is already booked; show me your permit."
Indeed, it was a place I had already booked for Sylvia, but since I needed to go in before her to successfully lure those girls in, and that too without anyone knowing about it, I naturally didn’t have any permits.
’But of course, who needs a permit when you have money?’
This was a place where average-level players were used as guards, and so they were easily swayed by monetary incentives.
I quickly reached into my pocket and pulled out a wad of cash, flashing it in front of the guards.
"I’m sure we can come to a mutually beneficial arrangement," I said with a sly smile.
The guards exchanged glances, their expressions softening as they realized the potential for some extra income.
Naturally, if a well-known guild, player, or anyone else who might get them into trouble booked the Dungeon Carck, they wouldn’t accept a bribe.
But since I booked it with an unknown ID of a newbie, there wasn’t even a need for these guards to give it a second thought.
"Yes? If you go in and get caught, we will be in big trouble—"
There was a lot of talk on the topic of how allowing us in was a crime and they shouldn’t do it, but in short, they just wanted more money.
"I’ll give you ten thousand dollars, so get out of here."
The department guards, who were rolling their eyes here and there, finally had a change in their expressions.
"I don’t know. I suddenly want to go to the bathroom."
"Yes, me too."
Still, it was a spectacle to watch them perform.
Immediately, I roughly took out the money from my wallet and handed it over.
The guards counted the money with a smirk.
It was ten thousand dollars, although not a jackpot amount for government workers like them, but enough for stepping out to go to the bathroom for a while.
"I’m going to go to the bathroom, so never! You must not go in."
"Okay, okay! Now get going quickly."
I waved my hands.
The guards disappeared, and I entered the Crack with Charlotte.
"Now we just have to wait for a good show to start, hehe."
"Hehehe! Master, you’re so cool."
