Villain Awakening: Rising to the Strongest Dragon God-Chapter 58: Go Crush Them.
KNOCK
Who the fuck?
Auryn’s thoughts were about to go on a rampage when his nose wiggled. He sniffed slightly and opened his eyes with his chapped lips still locked with Lyra’s rosy lips.
Claudia? he thought even while he managed to stay in the moment with Lyra. After all, this was important. The taste of her lips were like cinnamon and it pulled him into deep waters with each passing second.
The knock came again in quick succession and this time, Lyra was irritated. Her hands were over Auryn’s shoulders, her tongue jousting desperately within the moist of his mouth.
"Go away," Lyra managed to respond. Using the opportunity to breathe. Her tone was devoid of patience and definitely dangerous.
"I have to speak with the prince, it’s urgent," the voice of a lass came from the other side of the door.
Auryn confirmed from the tone of the voice that it was definitely Claudia and she was actually serious. And there was a certain reality he had to work with right now.
It was the fact that most people here in this castle wouldn’t mind for the opportunity of taking his life. If someone said there was danger, he had to consider it.
Slowly, he withdraw his head from the consummation of their lips. Placing both his hands softly on Lyra’s hips. He rubbed her perfectly curved hips to relax her.
"I have to hear what she has to say.... Okay!"
Lyra’s amber eyes stared into Auryn’s. She wasn’t convinced that the young lady at the door didn’t know she was distracting them.
"You don’t have to answer her Immediately," Lyra purred. Tracing her finger across his chapped lips while licking hers.
Auryn smirked slightly and kissed her playfully on the forehead.
"Trust me ... okay,"
Lyra rolled her eyes in disappointment. Yet she knew they wouldn’t have so much time and liberty here afterall.
"I trust you," she winked seductively. Hiding her disappointment.
Auryn took the approval and moved to the door. Opening it to find Claudia who was pacing up and down in the corridor.
The moment she saw him step out. She stopped. Moving to his side and bowed slightly.
"Your Highness. I think you’re in danger"
Auryn’s eyes squinted slightly as he activated Author’s eyes causing his field of vision to transform into a world of colours.
His vision on Claudia was orange with a sliver of silver around the orange. Showing her conflicting feelings towards him yet a chance of loyalty still bloomed underneath.
She didn’t look particularly dangerous and definitely didn’t feel like it and that was the most important part for him.
His head moved side by side, but there was no other aura present in the area.
"Come in," he held her by the wrist, pulling her into the chambers so they could talk in private. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Claudia entered the chambers. The warmth within coursed through her body, soothing every muscle to relaxation. The ball of fire that hung in the air seemed to do more than illuminate the room.
"This is nice," the words escaped Claudia’s lips even before she could help it. Looking to the side and there Lyra was.
The princess positioned herself on the bed with the serenity and innocence of an angel. It would be impossible to believe she was so exasperated by Claudia’s presence just a few seconds earlier.
Locking the door behind him. Auryn could already feel the tension building within the room. He swallowed slowly.
"What were you saying?" he asked without delay.
Claudia turned towards him. She hesitated, sneaking glances at Lyra as her mouth opened and closed.
Auryn rolled his eyes. "You may speak," gesturing for her to continue.
Claudia swallowed even as Lyra raised a brow.
"I was coming down the hall and behind closed doors, I heard some individuals discussing about you"
Auryn’s listened attentively. They had to be more. he thought.
"Thank you for bringing this to me. Is that all?"
"No—" Claudia answered with certainty as she gave a clearer account of the ordeal to Auryn and Lyra.
She told them how this men seemed to be reporting Auryn’s and the castle’s activities to some "highness" and she believed it wasn’t her father or even anyone in the Eastern province.
"Hope they didn’t hurt you?" Auryn asked with concern. He looked at her even as she finished speaking.
"I’m fine your highness," Claudia answered with a sharp voice but her eyes were dull with worry.
"What do you think?" she asked.
Auryn chapped lips barely opened, when a soft voice cut in from the side.
"Your father’s men are disloyal. But why should we trust your words?—"
Claudia was beyond puzzled by Lyra’s sudden question.
Auryn stayed silent. Hands on his jaw as he digested the information and decided to watch.
Claudia was about to taste first-hand how venomous Lyra could be and why he chose her as his partner.
Claudia remained dumbfounded for a few seconds before she finally found her voice.
"I’m not my father...princess," she paused taking a deep breath.
"I’ll never do that to his Highness, afterall I am going to be his Wi—" she paused before she could finish. Eyes turning to Auryn hoping to get some support from him.
Lyra simply glared at her like she was the one with Author’s eyes. A twitching vein on her forehead seemingly daring Claudia to complete her statement.
Finally lifting his face, Auryn had four fingers raised as his lips parted.
"I have four questions and I need your utmost honesty," he paused with eyes that pierced like a bullet.
"what time did you come across this people? How many were they? Would you recognize them if you saw them again and lastly"
He paused, allowing Claudia to absorb the questions before he continued.
"How do they communicate with this Highness you spoke about?"
Claudia’s eyes stayed calm as she picked up his questions one after the other.
Her eyes could barely stay focused on Auryn, feeling daggers flying her way from another direction of the room.
"It was early just before full sunset. i think they were two or maybe three and I don’t know what they look like but I can recognize their voices."
Auryn nodded, processing the information as he worked through a course of action.
"I recall they were talking about ravens" Claudia finally concluded.
"I see.."
Auryn didn’t take too long to work through the information. He looked at Lyra and then to Claudia and a devious smile appeared on his visage.
Lyra could see it in his eyes. That was the devil on Auryn’s shoulder whenever he was plotting.
His eyes turned to Claudia. "Does your father know about this?"
Claudia gestured "No" by nodding her head from left to right.
"Good," he continued.
"I require something of you," Claudia eyes narrowed in surprise.
"How may I be of assistance,"
Auryn moved closer to her and spoke in a whisper like his words was concealed away from reality and only Claudia could hear as she nodded frantically.
Once he was done. He smiled warmly and he picked up an apple from the dinner table.
Time to see how smart your little rats are. Your highness.
He took a slow and endearing bite from the apple before he handed it to Lyra who was already looking worried.
"What’s the plan?" She asked with eyes narrowed. Ready to go into action at his beck and call.
He sat on the soft bed next to Lyra as Claudia left the room, heading to implement Auryn’s instructions.
"I’ll handle this," he slide his finger across her soft and beautiful face. Running it down her silver hair.
"All I need is a smile from you and proof that you trust me," he smirked sheepishly.
Lyra rolled her eyes and kissed him firmly on the lips, slipping a slice of apple into his mouth.
"I trust you...go crush them"

A few minutes later, Auryn navigated the halls that grew darker by the second. He’d mapped his way around the castle during the day. Who would have thought this would pay off now.
He made sure not to be seen while he made his way to the rookery where he predicted this men would be or head to.
At his destination, he could be seen merging into the darkness as the glow of his eyes disappeared into the starless night.
Simply... Waiting! A low growl under his breath.
