Chapter 165: 160 Ren Yu’s roommate

Wang Jian had never been inside a girls’ dorm like this before.

Some girls were just walking around in their underwear, whether due to the heat or by design. Seeing Wang Jian approach, they didn’t shy away. Some even raised their eyebrows and licked their lips at him. Then, amidst teasing laughter, they ran off. The cheeks of their buttocks bounced under their tiny panties, pressed into various shapes, a clear display of their youthful vigor.

What kind of college students are these...?

Wang Jian frowned and whispered to Ren Yu, "Are all college students so open nowadays?"

"..." Ren Yu’s face flushed red. "Actually, they aren’t usually like this, even when guys visit. But if they see someone handsome, they all turn into little sirens." She quickly added, "But those who aren’t afraid of being seen by men are a minority, after all."

In truth, Ren Yu wasn’t telling him everything. She knew Wang Jian had abs. If he had come in shirtless, some girls might have just walked up and started touching him. That really would have been like a holy monk encountering the spider demons.

Wang Jian shook his head, unsure whether times had changed or if he had just been naive as a student.

It didn’t take long for them to reach Ren Yu’s dormitory room. Right as they arrived, they bumped into someone.

Wang Jian collided head-on with the girl. It was like hitting a spring; she bounced right back. She was about to fall when Wang Jian grabbed her, saving her from a painful face-plant.

Good grief.

Only after catching the girl’s hand did Wang Jian get a clear look at what he had run into. No wonder she’d bounced off; they had to be at least G-cups.

Getting sent flying after a collision with two G-cups is perfectly normal. And they felt unique, too. Definitely not fake.

Because she was in her dorm, the girl was only wearing a small camisole, leaving little to the imagination.

"Hiss..."

After being steadied, the girl winced and rubbed her chest, frowning as she gave Wang Jian a strange look.

She was clearly hurt from the impact...

Though the girl’s ’headlights’ were large, she didn’t have a large frame. She was of average height and build, just a little chubby.

"Who are you? How did you get in here? Don’t you know this is a girls’ dorm?"

The girl scolded him, but her tone was more bark than bite. Dressed in just a camisole and shorts, even her angry face had a certain charm.

Before Wang Jian could speak, Ren Yu peeked out from behind him. Her roommate hadn’t even seen her standing there.

"Junjun, I’m back!" Ren Yu said with a smile as she popped out. The two girls immediately squealed and hugged each other, jumping up and down with excitement. Though Ren Yu wasn’t as large, she wasn’t small either. The two of them started bouncing like a pair of human pogo sticks right in front of Wang Jian...

For a moment, Wang Jian had no idea where to look.

"Ah! I was just asking the others when you’d get here. I can’t believe I ran into you just by opening the door!" Junjun exclaimed. "That’s great! Now everyone from our dorm is here."

The girl Ren Yu called Junjun was overjoyed to see her.

After they greeted each other, Ren Yu introduced her. "Brother, this is my roommate, Cai Jun. She’s a local from Capital City, her bed is next to mine, and she’s in the Chinese medicine department."

The school’s dormitories weren’t assigned by college or department, so the four girls in one room weren’t necessarily from the same class or even the same major. For instance, Ren Yu was studying clinical Western Medicine, while Cai Jun was studying Chinese medicine.

"And this is my brother, Wang Jian," Ren Yu said, gesturing to him. "He’s the one who brought me to school this time."

"Your brother?" Cai Jun was taken aback and gave Wang Jian a second look. This man... As she sized him up, she noticed his gaze was a little awkward. It was only then that she realized how little she was wearing. She instinctively tugged at her clothes to feel a little less exposed.

Thank goodness I wasn’t running around the dorm naked...

Cai Jun ushered them inside.

Wang Jian set the luggage aside. Ren Yu pulled him over to a stool to sit down, and he took the opportunity to look around their dorm room.

It had to be said that female students’ dorms aren’t necessarily cleaner than men’s. Fortunately, as medical students, Ren Yu and her roommates kept their personal spaces quite hygienic.

At the moment, only Cai Jun and Ren Yu were in the room; the other two were out.

Seeing that Ren Yu had finished settling in, Wang Jian stood up. "All settled? Let’s go out for a meal. Cai Jun, you should come too. You two will have to look after each other while Ren Yu is at school."

"You’re too kind," Cai Jun replied with a smile. She had already changed into a normal summer dress, the front of which revealed a deep abyss. "We’re roommates, so of course we should look after each other."

"Hey," Wang Jian laughed, thinking to himself that this girl was quite a smooth talker. "That may be so, but it’s not every day I get to come here, so it’s only right that I treat you two. Alright, it’s settled. It’s already noon, so we’ll just eat something near the school. It’s no big deal."

"Exactly!" Ren Yu chimed in, grabbing Cai Jun’s arm. "Let’s just do what my brother says. Come on, let’s go! I’ve been home for two months and I’ve really been craving the Japanese food at Wanda Plaza outside the south gate."

Saying this, Ren Yu started pulling Cai Jun out the door, giving her no chance to refuse.

Wang Jian smiled and followed them.

On the way to the Japanese restaurant, Cai Jun managed to clear up some of the questions on her mind.

She actually had some family connections with Chairman Kang’s family. That was why she supported his pursuit of Ren Yu and even occasionally played matchmaker. From what she knew, Chairman Kang, despite his family’s wealth, wasn’t a spoiled brat, which made him a good choice. She was the one who had told him about Ren Yu’s travel plans.

However, she never expected Ren Yu’s brother to be so young and handsome.

Even though Ren Yu hadn’t said much, Cai Jun had lived with her for over a year and knew her situation very well. After witnessing the small interactions between Ren Yu and Wang Jian, her intuition told her their relationship wasn’t so simple.

While they were walking, Cai Jun pulled Ren Yu aside to ask, "How come your brother doesn’t have the same last name as you? When you said your brother was bringing you, I thought he was your actual brother, or maybe some older boy-next-door from your village?"

In her mind, the so-called ’older boy-next-door’ was supposed to be some rustic, unkempt country bumpkin. But Wang Jian was nothing like that.

"Brother Jian is from my village, but we’re not related by blood," Ren Yu whispered. "But we’re as close as family. When I was little, I was over at his house playing almost every day."

Hearing this, Cai Jun couldn’t help but ask teasingly, "So is this ’brother’ of yours your sweetheart brother?"

Childhood sweethearts. The phrase immediately popped into Cai Jun’s mind.

Ren Yu’s face turned red. She didn’t confirm it, which was a confirmation in itself.

Cai Jun clicked her tongue twice but didn’t press the matter, only sparing Wang Jian another glance.

She was on Team Kang, so she was actually trying to find some of Wang Jian’s flaws. But as she looked, she found that this man was neither ugly nor greasy. In fact, she noticed he had an unusual charisma, an aura that put you at ease. After a few more glances, even she had to admit this man was something special.

Cai Jun touched her cheek and found that it was burning up.

"Did you run into Chairman Kang when you arrived?"

The moment Cai Jun asked, Ren Yu knew her guess had been right. It was definitely this girl who had leaked her itinerary.

Ren Yu nodded. "We did. He even chatted with us for a bit."

"And nothing happened?" Thinking that rivals in love were bound to clash, Cai Jun asked with a curious face, "Did they..."

Her meaning was obvious. Ren Yu rolled her eyes. "No. Can’t you ever hope for the best?"

"Hahaha, I’m just used to the drama," Cai Jun laughed. "Come on, tell me everything."

With a sigh, Ren Yu quietly recounted what had happened earlier.

Cai Jun was clearly surprised to hear that Wang Jian was also a student at their university. She was even more shocked when she learned that he and Chairman Kang had the same mentor. That professor was no ordinary figure. It was very strange for someone with that kind of connection to have gone back to his hometown.

Watching the excited look on Ren Yu’s face as she talked about Wang Jian, Cai Jun sighed internally. She knew Chairman Kang didn’t stand a chance.

But that wasn’t important anymore. Now, her curiosity about this senior named Wang Jian was completely piqued.

Cai Jun frowned, but before she could ask anything else, they had arrived at the restaurant.
