Vengeance of The Broken Lycan Prince [BL]-Chapter 428: Go On… Give Me A Reason
[TAMIKO]
"I’ll never let him touch you. Never again," Kosta swore in earnest, his heart almost aching for the sight he had witnessed when Gabe had forced Tamiko, his slave, into something else.
He had seen through Tamiko’s memories of Grealor, and Kosta swore to burn Grealor when the time was right. He wouldn’t let them live to see the next day. And if Gabe came here like this, thinking that Kosta was a forgetful man, then he was gravely mistaken.
Because there was nothing that would stand between Kosta and Tamiko’s happiness. The barbarian never played when it came to his Erasthai, and no one who knew him would try that shit.
Yet Gabe had managed to find a loophole because of Sanji, which was interesting, seeing as Sanji had died last night, and now, they were here. They couldn’t even let the man’s soul rest. That was quite the issue for them, though, right?
Gabe moved across the field like a predator, his determination to take back Tamiko obvious even though it had been more than ten years since he had seen the man.
It had been way too long, and he knew damn well that given what Tamiko looked like today, the prince was way too dangerous. Hell, Gabe had been there when Tamiko had murdered the king’s sister in Grealor.
And they were not able to say anything to stop him or even do anything.
Now he was here, determined like this was a trophy he was aiming for.
A trophy that was just meant to belong to him.
Gods, was he a delusional man to even be thinking that the crown prince of Kawai was his to own, like he had once owned the man in Grealor. Maybe Gabriel was really out of touch with his reality because what the fuck was this even supposed to mean?
Even then, his calculated steps didn’t slow.
He was losing his mind; that much was obvious.
"If he tries to touch you, it will be the last thing he does," Kosta said as he held Tamiko tighter.
Gabe still came closer, like a shadow hiding in the crowd of warriors who were still fighting bouts, unsure of whether they were meant to fight the kawaii warriors or if they were to throw the battle and beg for mercy as they went home.
Tamiko’s gaze never faltered, though.
He didn’t waste time looking at Gabe again, no. He kept his focus on Kosta, the man he trusted more than he had ever trusted anyone. The man he loved more than life, and his anchor between sanity and insanity.
Kosta was his world.
From where he was standing, the king saw it all like it was the one thing that had unexpectedly unfolded right in the middle of this mess.
He saw Gabe’s obsession lingering in the shadows like it was the only thing the alpha could think of at the moment. He saw the envy and the threat that was written on Gabe’s face, and yet the king didn’t dare or act on it.
It was as if he were waiting for a chance to see this to the end.
A chance to remind the world of what it meant to be in the same space as Zaffuto Hinata and his son.
He was studying Gabriel like a man who had his prey, and while Zaffuto had long decided on starting with Alpha Ashton, the king wasn’t opposed to the bonus of the Alpha’s son anyway.
’Go on, kid... Give me a reason to flatten your whole family, the king thought excitedly, like a predator who was skilled in the art of fucking people up. And honestly, that was kind of a specialty for the mad king.
There was no denying it at this point anyway.
His anticipation was scary because he used that moment to fool Alpha Ashton into believing that the king wasn’t into him.
If anything, Zaffuto had resorted to king the warriors who were closest to him, like he wasn’t in the mood for the Grealor former alpha.
Ashton smiled with pride, like that was the one thing he had known from the onset. Like he was sure the king wasn’t going to try and mess with him, all because he had a son on the battlefield who had a weakness.
But what Ashton seemed to be forgetting was the fact that even Zaffuto was not a weakness. The kid he was targeting was worth more than all the lives here, and that Zaffuto would eliminate them all.
Deep down, that didn’t satiate the heartache the king was feeling because he knew his son was not beyond sacrificing himself for love just yet.
"See what you’ll never have; what unbreakable devotion and love truly looks like and why it’s untouchable," the king whispered softly as he tore through the enemies in front of him and around him so fast that it was as if he was meant to fight them all on his own.
He wasn’t even opposed to that anyway.

Convinced that his son was in the best of hands at the moment, the mad king turned to the one person he had been waiting for three decades. The man who owed him more than the realm would ever be able to pay in kind.
The man who took everything that has meant the world to him and left him in a deep, dark hole for over two decades. It was his truth to know what it felt like, and gods, was Zaffuto not going to go slow on him?
This was more than owed.
This was more than even the moon goddess herself could ever explain, and given the timing, it was almost diabolical that this kind of shit was happening at the moment. But Zaffuto was not going to wait anymore.
He was owed karma.
He was owed sanity.
He was owed more than anyone in their right mind could give him, and as he strode across the battlefield, his eyes never leaving the man’s eyes, Zaffuto had made his choice. He would collect what was owed.
Someone would lose today, and he would make damn sure that it wasn’t him.
"How many years has it been, old Zaffuto?" Alpha Ashton spoke, the smug look on his face tempting the mad king to wipe it off.
He had waited ages for this moment. Zaffuto had prayed for this moment to the moon countless times this and now that it was here, he wasn’t going to stop. He wasn’t going to be held back.
He had waited for so many years that it had been a hell he would never fully recover from, but that didn’t mean that he lacked the capacity to inflict that same level of hell.
Here and now, as the battlefield hummed with tension as the warriors and survivors struggled to make peace with the impossible that was headed their way, Zaffuto smiled for the first time.
It wasn’t a smile that reached his eyes.
It was a predatory smile.
A smile that screamed the kind of capture that even the fates had been a little too shocked by. But what else was supposed to happen when the stupid alpha wolf had breached his home again, thanks to a fucked-up portal that allowed them in?
