Vengeance of The Broken Lycan Prince [BL]-Chapter 426: You Make Satan Want To Have A Soul
[TAMIKO]
"No sword?" Kosta asked.
This was new to him, and the way that Tamiko was talking, it was as if he were going into the battlefield without a sword.
For anyone, it should have been comforting enough. Because without his sword, he would alternately be weaker and need support, right?
But how was that supposed to work for a man who was ten times more powerful than everyone here save for his own father, a deranged king who was out for blood while wielding a sword of doom himself?
Even without the sword, Tamiko could murder everyone here with so much as a whisper. He had mentioned it to Kosta earlier, but now it was more obvious. No one would ever truly understand what the stakes were.
It couldn’t matter that the sun was high up or that it was already going down. The crown prince of Kawai was a walking grim reaper, and there wasn’t much that anyone could say to it.
"Yup... I promised not to shed blood, remember?" Tamiko said chirpily, it was almost hard to tell whether he was making jokes or if he was serious at the moment. And Kosta stared at his Erasthai, wondering if this man was high on shit right now.
The man himself knew what he was made of, and now, with his father’s magic running through him, immortality was a thing that he was blessed with, not to mention insane choices.
But maybe that didn’t matter as much to Tamiko, right?
"And that is supposed to mean what?" Kosta asked, honestly baffled, like this was not what he had signed up for, yet somehow it was the kind of shit he didn’t mind being a part of.
Maybe he was doomed with his love for Tamiko, but surely there had to be a better explanation for this, too.
Even if vague, it had to be, no?
"Well, I have a husband who will protect me. I don’t have to fight this time, but I’ll defend myself. Besides, I don’t intend to get killed this time, so will you protect this weak psycho of yours, krushka?" Tamiko asked.
His pout was so tender that Kosta felt his brain freeze for a moment. He wasn’t certain of a lot of things, but disappearing from this battlefield suddenly felt like the best idea.
He didn’t mind walking away from the war and heading to their chambers to ride out the rest of the battle. He didn’t mind walking away, only to end up stuffed full by his very beautiful and handsome husband.
That was suddenly a need, and subconsciously, Kosta let out sweet pheromones, pheromones that had Tamiko smirking knowingly like this was the best thing that had happened around them, even as the battlefield came back to life bit by bit.
What the heck was going on exactly?
"I..." Kosta trailed off, his mind blank as fuck.
"Love you," Tamiko added, like he was completing a sentence that was for him. And once again, the Lycan chief stared at his Erasthai like there weren’t enough words in his life to speak what was in his frozen mind.
Maybe a reboot was all he needed, because one moment the Lycan chief was fluttering like life had paused, and the next, lavender merged so beautifully with his cinnamon, reminding him of what they once had—
—what they would never stop having, and more than anything, what they would be getting when the battlefield was done and cleared.
"You trust me so much, even after everything? You are trusting an omega with your life and heart?" Kosta asked, though his voice came out as a growl thanks to Tamiko teasing.
But he couldn’t be blamed, not when Tamiko looked like sin even on a battlefield that had the stench of blood and dying souls.
This prince was his undoing, and the look in Tamiko’s eyes was pulling him closer than it would ever be appropriate in the face of war. But even war could understand this, no?
"You’re the only name in my mind when dusk comes, love... the only one I want to sing when I’m high as hell on everything papa would probably ban in Kawai. The only face I want to see when I close my eyes, when I open my eyes, and all over.
"Yours is the only body I want to cuddle when my bed feels empty, when I’m excited, when I’m sad, when I’m just existing. Just you, always you. The only one I would absolutely love to be protected by," Tamiko said confidently.
You would think it was just him and Kosta out here on this battlefield. But did that even matter to Tamiko when he had Kosta standing there beside him like the world was there to conquer?
Maybe the Kawai prince had forgotten what it meant to be on this battlefield, or maybe he was just choosing to ignore it all.
The warriors beside Tamiko and Kosta stood there like they were stuck between what to do and what not to do. Honestly, it felt like they were interrupting a moment between the two souls that didn’t even bother to focus on them.
It was like the world had faded, and Tamiko and Kosta just had each other. Or was it a beautiful moment for them, and they honestly couldn’t give two shits about what happened?
Well, maybe Kosta would have.
But Tamiko...
He didn’t mind getting railed or even having some post-battle sex to make his life better.
Gods, he didn’t mind that at all.
"You’re impossible," Kosta forced out hoarsely, and Tamiko snickered at the sight.
"I wouldn’t mind being punished, princess," Tamiko said, and a few groans were heard from the warriors closest to them. It was like the world was finally realizing that shit wasn’t as it had been spelled out earlier, and it was infuriating to an extent.
"Even death isn’t this horny."
"I’m still shocked that Grealor thought this was the couple that had grown soft and could be broken up."
"It’s like we’re watching porn on the battlefield. What the fuck?"
"Please let me kill them for being nosy," Tamiko pleaded, and the warriors didn’t wait to hear what Kosta had to say.
They ran to the other end of the war.
You’d think that they had all the time in the world to save themselves from his group, much less the monster who had gone for alpha Ashton and was still toying with the man.
There was no telling what the experience would be like, but at least there was a certainty staring at everyone here.
Kawai would win.
Kawai always won.
Kawai.
Always Kawai.
"If you don’t shut up, I will shut you up," Kosta warned slowly, and Tamiko gulped thickly like the world was trying to finally get back on the right axis.
"However, you want me, I’m rea—" Tamiko said only for a blunt handle of a sword to hit his head, snapping him out of his antics and into the relay world where the battle was.
"If you two are done fucking each other with your eyes, can we finish this and go back home? I’m hungry and it’s all your fault!!" Danny voiced.
Tamiko found himself laughing softly at his best friend’s voice.
Oh, how he had missed that voice and all the cheekiness it came with.
And once again, it was just then, and their family of unhinged, happy-go-lucky Lycans were trying to get through the day like they weren’t murdering people or even covered in blood at the moment.
"You make Satan want to have a soul," Kosta groaned, his words directed towards the Lycan lord who had interrupted them.
"That’s all the thanks I get for sparing you a show in your intimate moments? Jeez, Konstantin, you’re down so bad for that little minx someone would think you’re husbands," Danny teased.
Tamiko didn’t even think twice about his response.
"He is my husband, though, brother... We’ll have a wedding and pretty little kids running around soon enough. Just you wait until I’m forgiven. I’ll give papa and uncle Sadako, grandkids, and make you an uncle!" Tamiko said in response.
Danny just groaned and mumbled things that Tamiko was familiar with.
"Good luck with your husband, Konstantin. You have a lot of work waiting for you," Danny said pitifully.
Kosta just stood there with a stupid smile on his face.
However, in the distance, there was a soul that didn’t bear the same smile and warmth that radiated off the Kawai royals.
"If I can’t have you, no one will."
