Chapter 197: Drop your pants hehe

Xiang Yu stepped out of the Die clan home his figure imposing. The blood on his body and hands made him feel unclean, but he was temporarily appeased. If the twins were here he would have let them have a few kicks in to vent their anger. He didn’t think he should share a car with Han Xin in this current state, so he glanced around, looking for another car.

He was well aware of Han Xin’s mysophobic tendencies and didn’t want to disgust him. Wasn’t this Demon King being so considerate? Just as he was about to make his way to a different car, Han Xin’s voice cut through the air, firm and unyielding. "Come with me."

Xiang Yu paused, wiping the blood from his hand with a handkerchief. He knew better than to argue with Han Xin when he used that tone. Okay, he would argue if he wanted to, but there was something tantalising when Han Xin commanded him in that tone. Xiang Yu was sure that if Han Xin asked him to take off his pants, he would gladly do it.

Realising that Xiang Yu wasn’t following Han Xin turned around and gave him a puzzled look. "Why are you in a daze?"

Xiang Yu came back to himself and said, "It’s nothing," and he followed Han Xin, intending to sit in the front seat to keep some distance. But as he reached for the door handle, Han Xin’s grip on his arm was like iron, pulling him to the back.

"Han Zhan, sit in front," Han Xin commanded. Han Zhan, usually the joker of the group, complied without a word, his demeanour unusually serious. He was usually a laid-back person, but when the situation was serious, he would be so stern it could terrify sleeping children.

Xiang Yu hesitated at the car door. "I have blood on me," he said, his voice low but steady.

"It doesn’t matter," Han Xin replied, his tone brooking no argument. "Get in." He opened the car door and practically shoved Xiang Yu inside before sliding in beside him. He closed the door with a solid thud, sealing them in together. From a distance, he could see his father looking in this direction. For some reason, Han Xin didn’t like his father paying so much attention to Xiang Yu.

As the convoy of cars began to move, Han Xin’s eyes flicked to the blood on Xiang Yu’s hands, a stark contrast against his creamy skin. The sight triggered a memory of the ruthless look in Xiang Yu’s eyes as he struck Die Liang. Han Xin’s heart pounded in his chest.

At that moment, Xiang Yu had been like a beast, wild and beyond control. It was a side of him Han Xin had never seen before—cold, ruthless, and distant, like a superior being that was almost unreachable.

The silence in the car was thick, filled with unspoken words and lingering tension. Han Xin’s mind raced, trying to reconcile the man beside him with the image of the merciless person from earlier. Xiang Yu stared out the window, his expression unreadable, lost in his own thoughts. He was trying to stay away from Han Xin and not dirty him.

Han Xin, on the other hand, rubbed his hand on his pants, the scent of blood mingling with a faint floral aroma, making him feel slightly inebriated. He looked away, his gaze drifting to the afternoon sun hanging low at the edge of the sky, casting a golden hue over everything. The tranquillity of the scene was a stark contrast to the turmoil within him.

When Xiang Yu noticed they had arrived at the seaside villa, he was a bit surprised. He had assumed they would just drop him off at his place. He kept his thoughts to himself, planning to ask Ran Lan for a ride home. As they exited the car, Xiang Yu turned to Ran Lan. "Ah- Lan, drop me off, please," he said in a playful tone. Ran Lan suddenly froze his breath caught in his chest as he stared at his boss’ back.

Han Xin, already walking towards the house, turned back. "Come inside," he said, his voice carrying a hint of command. He glanced at Ran Lan as though warning him.

Ran Lan, "..." He subconsciously took a few steps back and hid himself behind the car. It wouldn’t block out the death rays coming from his boss’s eyes, but at least he would be able to breathe. Ran Lan almost wanted to say, brother, please don’t involve me in your business.

"I have to pick up the twins," Xiang Yu replied, his tone neutral but firm.

Han Xin’s annoyance was palpable. He could sense Xiang Yu’s attempt to avoid him. "Don’t get in my car bloody. Come inside," he insisted.

Xiang Yu chuckled softly, finding the logic amusing. "Wasn’t I just in the car with blood on me?" he muttered under his breath. Han Xin ignored the comment and continued into the house without another word.

Han Zhan, sensing the tension and wanting to help his cousin, approached Xiang Yu. "Do you want to scare the twins looking so bloody? Come inside and take a shower first. As for the twins, I know you asked Little Bai to pick them up." Han Zhan also thought his reason was illogical. Those girls would probably be excited to see that blood and curiously ask him if he killed someone.

Left with no choice, Xiang Yu sighed and followed Han Zhan. Han Xin, without looking up from Peng Xiu’s messages on his phone, instructed, "Butler Qing, lead him to the bathroom upstairs."

Butler Qing, unfazed by the sight of Xiang Yu covered in blood, responded calmly, "Oh, sir, the shower upstairs is leaking. The plumber is taking a look at it."

Han Xin finally looked up, his expression one of mild irritation. "Is that the only bathroom in the house? Find him another one to use."

The butler lowered his head apologetically. "Sorry, sir, the instant water heater in the other bathroom is broken. The plumber is also taking a look at that."

Han Xin’s brows furrowed in frustration. "Why is everything in this housebroken?"

Han Zhan smirked, recalling the events of the previous day. He had seen Peng Xiu acting suspiciously and had followed her, discovering that she had tampered with the bathrooms. At the time, he hadn’t understood her motives.
