Jaehyun’s POV

They want Taeho to lead instead of me?

Do they know I have no interest in leadership?

Stupid.

"Taeho?" my father asks and I look over my shoulder.

Where the fuck is that brother of mine?

"Taeho?" Jisung repeats.

I really should hurry and make Yujun my Luna, I will like to see how many elders would explode in rage, how many will throw off their masks and attack and how many will stay.

I see a few of them looking at me, wondering why I haven’t lost my temper yet.

A smile is directed at them.

I know I look maniacal and I love it when they redirect their gaze and squirm in their seats.

Spineless motherfuckers.

No, but here is Taeho.

"Taeho has been by the side of Jaehyun for as long as we can remember and has never done anything impulsive that threatens to expose our clan" elder Ki says and I roll my eyes.

In front of them all I’m the impulsive one but between Taeho and me, I have the better temperament.

"Myself and a number of elders had to work double hours to clean up the mess he made on the highway" he says and I hum to myself.

I remember that day, the blood on the snow and the look on the face of the bastard I had put my bullet in.

I remember clearly.

"Jaehyun was not sorry for the mess he left behind and the Kangs were furious" he keeps speaking and I feel my alpha get more agitated with the words.

A child was wasted.

Abused and thrown away.

"A child of our clan was killed and none of you brought up a plan to put her spirit to rest" Jisung hyung says and elder Ki squares his shoulder.

"It doesn’t give him the right to go on a killing spree" elder Ki responds thoughtlessly, and father leans back in his seat.

A clear shut up.

"Would you like to repeat all these in my Luna’s presence?" father asked levelly and the room goes silent.

Even I know the hell mom would raise if he hears these mindless and evil argument.

"In this clan, omegas are respected and precious, if I have to remind you again elder Ki...I wont as Jaehyun to put down his gun" father says and nod his head for elder Ki to keep speaking.

"My lord...our conclusion is and remains that Jaehyun be..."

"MY LORD" the door of the meeting room is forced open and Taeho runs into the room clutching his bloody arm.

I jump to my feet at the sight.

He runs into, drops of blood staining the floor with each step he takes and his teeth clenched.

"Brother..." I call out of worry.

Where did he go?

Who did this to him?

Who dares to touch the righthand man and sworn brother of Hwang Jaehyun?

"My Lord..." he says through his clenched teeth and falls in front of my father.

"I saw her...Yoon Sehwa" he says, hissing with pain as he speaks.

"She...kidnapped the Luna" he says and father immediately gets up on his feet.

"What did you say?" father asks while I look from Taeho to my father.

His alpha eyes are glowing red as he speaks in one voice with his alpha, low and dangerous.

"I followed her to a hideout and before I could do anything, she spotted me and shot me" Taeho says.

His words makes the elders start to talk among themselves while elder Ki looks like he is about to go into shock.

Taeho sways on his feet, weakening from rapidly losing blood and I rush over to hold him up.

"Are you okay?" I ask him and he nods, "brother...you were right about Sehwa" he whispers and coughs.

"Did Sehwa hurt mom?" I ask and he shakes his head, "I can’t tell...save the Luna before its too late" he says and I growl.

"I will kill her" I say.

That woman keeps giving me reasons to speed up her death.

My mom? My brother?

I look to my dad who is talking angrily to Jisung.

"If I don’t have my husband back in two hours, I will cut off the heads of the Yoons" he says in his eternally calm voice while his eyes rage. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

"I will fucking kill her" I say and help Taeho up.

I will take him to get rested and treated and go get my mom.

"I’ll go back with you" Taeho says and I shake my head in disagreement, "you’re bleeding" I say and he holds my hand tight, "I need to see her pay for her crimes" he says.

We have a tough stare off. Stubborn and angry Taeho refuses to back down.

"Fine" I say.

Within hours we arrive at an uncompleted building, just in time to see Sehwa coming out with her hair messed up but still in those pigtails.

Her white dress is dirty with dust and a handprint of blood stains the side, like she wiped blood on the dress.

"Yoon Sehwa" father calls her name with authority and her head snaps up.

"What?" she asks in surprise and turn to run away.

Sound of gunshot fills the air as Taeho shoots from inside the car.

Sehwa roars in pain as she glares at us before running through a hole in the wall.

I chase after her but she has fallen into the sewers, gone with the waters.

"Yoon Sehwa" I roar her name.

"Yeon-ah" I hear father’s voice and look behind me to see him carrying my mom.

My mom looks dusty and tired in dad’s arms as he is being scented by dad. His tired look makes me wonder how long he has been here.

"Son" mom call, his voice sounds rough, "Junnah is in there, he wouldn’t let anyone else touch him" he says and I run into the building.

The place is big as I run around, unsure of which room to search.

"Get away from me" Yujun’s hiss gets to me and I follow his sound.

He is on the floor glaring up at the guard trying to help him, baring his teeth and moving backwards.

"Junnah" I call his name, and he looks up at me, his face as stoic as last night when I left him.

His eyes are still empty but holds a spark of life...a spark of fight.

He growls at me like an alpha would and I see the bloodstains on his body.

It had probably been his bloodstains that Sehwa was wearing.

"I’m taking you out of here" I say and he growls at me again, "if you touch me..."

"If I have to knock you out to drag your stubborn ass out of here, I will. So shut the hell up and let me" I snap at him and he goes quiet.

With his silent permission, I go to him and lift him bridal styles.

My alpha howls inside of me for the contact with our omega.

"Yunah" he says quietly, "your people took her with Yeon-ssi",

"She is in safe hands and so are you" I say and cradle him to my chest.

He says nothing as he lets me.

Where do we go from here? When will my Yujun come back to me?
