Yujun’s POV

Heavy footsteps are coming in the direction of the living room where my sister, my mother and I are standing with our hands in front of us, waiting for the man who wears the title of ’father’ and ’husband’

I have been holding Yunah’s hand for comfort sake but the second the footsteps get louder, I let the cold hand go and put my hands behind me, squaring my shoulders to look relevant.

The prim and proper way to represent my family as the alpha of the home.

It never ends...The pretending never ends, not even when I am screaming inside me in utter confusion...why would Jaehyun break the engagement and not say a word to me?

The door slams open and we collectively respond by flinching.

No one dares to breathe the wrong way the moment father storms in with his horde of loyal dogs and his favorite child dressed in black behind them.

Both of them have matching expressions of anger. Truly father and daughter.

Yunah is vibrating beside me, dolled up for father’s visit. "You can’t be a failure and still be ugly" mother had said and called someone to fix Yunah up, ignoring the obvious state of despair her daughter is in, obsessed only with herself.

My mother never cares.

"Honey" mother says with a wide smile and rushes forward to hug her husband but is blocked by two of the guards with stern expressions on their faces. She laughs awkwardly as she steps back.

"Welcome, Yubin-ah, its been a while" she says and Yubin responds with her usual demeaning head to toe scan of my mother.

I clench my fist in anger, but I dare not speak, the alphas in the room haven’t addressed me yet...even if they force me, beat me and train me to be the image of an alpha, I am still demeaned and treated worse than a natural omega.

Still the curse and shame of the clan. A freak of nature...a male omega.

"Is this how incompetent your children are?" father asks and my mother laughs again as she looks back at us, "you see, Yunah is a baby...she still has a lot to learn" mother says and I hear Yunah’s breath shudder.

"And who is she going to learn from? Her useless mother or her more useless brother?" father snaps angrily and Yubin scoffs mockingly, "I promise she will do better" mother says and comes over to push Yunah forward.

The young girl is stiff with fear and the thought of not being with the person she has come to love...oh no.

Her mating bond.

I take a quick look at her and I realize that the mark is covered. Better, if father finds out she is mated to another while she is supposed to be Jaehyun’s broodmare, he will kill her.

Mother makes Yunah do a forceful twirl to show her outfit and her look.

"Look at her, honey, isn’t she beautiful?" mother asks with her eyes shining like a woman selling her newest most profit attracting product.

"Putting her up again will be embarrassing" father says to Yubin who eyeballs my sister, own half-sister like a market good.

"That politician..." Yubin says and Yunah shakes her head, "No, I don’t want to" Yunah says and Yubin’s eyes widen.

"What did you say?" father asks quietly, "I don’t want-" Yunah’s statement is cut off by a hard slap to the cheek from Yubin.

"How dare you defy an Alpha’s command?" The female alpha asks and subconsciously I surge forward to snatch Yunah from them while growling loudly and protectively.

"Yujun!" mother gasps and my omega snarls at her as well, angry that the omega who is meant to defend us is the one pushing us into danger for her own comfortability.

I keep Yunah hidden behind me and I keep snarling even as father glares at me.

"What is the meaning of this?" he asks, his voice raised as he addresses my mother. "H-he has lost his mind" mother stutters and grabs my arms, "Hurry, apologize to your Noona" she screams at me in horror.

A month ago, I would have fallen to the ground and grovel for forgiveness, a month ago I would have licked Yubin Noona’s red bottom to get back in her good graces but right now, I don’t care.

They touched the pup I love in front of me and I won’t sit silently.

Father burst into laughter and places his hand on Yubin’s shoulder. The woman, his carbon copy, looks livid but doesn’t say a word even as her eyes turn blood red with her alpha’s surfacing with the want to punish the disrespect.

My own omega glares back with the same amount of silent anger.

"He’s yours to deal with Bin-ah but for now, we have to attend the Hwangs party...unscathed" father says still laughing as he pats his daughter.

The word unscathed packs a meaning that only father and I understand.

He is telling me, I will be punished badly but none of the marks will show on my face or exposable body part...like that time I was taken for the days, the same level of cruelty without the visible injuries.

Yunah sobs behind me and I push her to be entirely hidden by my broad shoulders.

"We will see later" Yubin says to me with a smile that looks like the baring of her teeth and a threat. My heart skips a beat as it dawn on me just how far I have gone.

"We leave in two hours’ time, till then Yubin will be selecting the best partners for your son’s heat" father says and clears his throat before nodding at his men and they all follow after him.

"What have you two done?" mother screeches at us as they leave and I keep Yunah hidden, my precious sister is crying behind me.

"What have you done?" I hear Yunah ask and I turn to silence her, "we are children not tools" she says and breaks down into another sob.

"Why are you acting like I haven’t done so much for you?" mother asks her and tries to move around me to see Yunah, "Mom, please it’s enough" I sigh and keep my sister away from her.

"You ungrateful child" mother screams and I decide to take Yunah away from the room.

The rest of the hours go by in a blur and I feel my body moving and responding to everything but I can’t register any of it, not until we walk through the doors of the hotel the Hwangs had chosen and Yunah clutches my hand.

"That’s my mate" she whispers to me and my eyes drift over to a beautiful woman with long hair in a braid and a beautiful white dress.

Spotting us standing away from the crowd, the woman walks over to us and smiles at us brightly.

"Hello, welcome" she says softly and I bow while Yunah blushes with her head down, she looks like a rose looking at the beautiful woman...the one she just pointed to me as her mate.

"Welcome to my engagement to Hwang Jaehyun, I am Yoon Sehwa" she says and Yunah and I ask at the same time.

"What?"
