Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 817: Xiang Yu’s Super Deception Trick
Chapter 817: Chapter 817: Xiang Yu’s Super Deception Trick
"Xiang Yu, I feel like something’s off." Mi Hui looked at Xiang Yu with some panic. After spending some time together, Mi Hui knew Xiang Yu wouldn’t harm him and even helped him, so he gradually blended into Xiang Yu’s circle.
"You needed to say that? Anyone could tell." Tie Zhuzi said irritably, noting the hallways on both sides were packed with people, and three men stood at the front, blocking their path.
"Grab them!" Someone shouted, and instantly, people rushed forward from all directions.
Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan stood on the flanks and swiftly grabbed someone. Both of them pressed knives directly against the necks of those they seized.
"Nobody move, or I’ll slice this guy’s throat." Tie Zhuzi raised his head arrogantly and barked.
At this moment, Xiang Yu stepped forward and shouted inside, "We’re here to do business. Is this really necessary?"
The two sides stared each other down, neither daring to make a move. After all, with two people in Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan’s grip, causing bloodshed rashly wouldn’t look good before understanding the situation.
At this moment, someone ran out from a room ahead and waved for Xiang Yu and his group to enter. The crowd reluctantly made way to open a path.
Xiang Yu strutted inside with an air of confidence, and Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan released their hostages and followed closely behind him.
Mi Hui, afraid of being grabbed, quickly scurried over to stick by Tie Zhuzi’s side. Even though he had dissected many bodies and seen his share of blood and gore, he had never experienced something like this in the underworld.
Inside the room, a middle-aged man sat in the principal seat with his back to Xiang Yu’s group. When informed of their arrival, he finally turned around with a faint smile.
As he saw the four of them enter, his gaze locked onto Mi Hui. Out of the four, Mi Hui was the oldest and wore glasses with an unmistakably pretentious air.
"You’ve got some guts showing up here. Do you even know where this is?" the middle-aged man directed his words at Mi Hui.
"No, don’t look at me. I’m a coward. He’s the one you want." Mi Hui immediately pointed at Xiang Yu.
The middle-aged man froze momentarily, staring at Xiang Yu’s young face. This kid had barely just grown up, right? A rookie like him couldn’t have anything serious to bring. He had to be joking.
Xiang Yu smiled calmly and began stepping forward, but as soon as he took a step, four men hurriedly came over to stop him. Their posture made it clear they wouldn’t hesitate to make a move if he advanced further.
"I’m here to discuss a transaction." Xiang Yu said with composed confidence.
The middle-aged man couldn’t help but feel surprised by Xiang Yu’s calm demeanor.
"What kind of business?" The middle-aged man sneered internally. He didn’t take Xiang Yu seriously at all. If this kid failed to bring anything substantial, he’d make sure to break his legs.
"We’ll pay you ten million. You help us find someone in this city." Xiang Yu said nonchalantly.
Ten million wasn’t much, but for such a young man to say this so casually piqued the middle-aged man’s interest.
He wondered who this kid could possibly be, some rich heir perhaps? But after mulling it over, he couldn’t figure it out.
Seeing the man’s lack of response, Xiang Yu spoke again, "Twenty million."
"Thirty million."
At this point, the middle-aged man’s composure began to falter. For someone to offer thirty million just to find a person—that wasn’t something ordinary people could manage.
"Wait. Who are you, and why are you saying our chairman might be in danger?" The middle-aged man grew more serious.
"You’re Wan Chao, aren’t you? If you don’t help us find this person, not only will your chairman be in danger—neither will you be able to escape." Xiang Yu spoke with absolute confidence, his head held high.
"You bastard! You’re asking for death!" One man couldn’t hold back any longer and shouted furiously.
But Wan Chao promptly stopped his subordinate. The situation was still unclear, and these young men in front of him weren’t simple characters.
"Kid, do you know who you’re talking to? With one word, I can have you crippled!" Wan Chao probed with a menacing tone.
"Cut the crap. If you were going to act, you’d have done it already. I’m offering up to fifty million. If you won’t agree, we won’t beg you." Xiang Yu said decisively.
Mi Hui hid behind Tie Zhuzi, drenched in cold sweat. The other side clearly commanded significant power. Where did Xiang Yu get the guts for this? Wasn’t this sheer recklessness?
If Wan Chao really gave the order, with so many people around, wouldn’t they all end up beaten senseless?
"You’re the first to act so cocky on my turf." Wan Chao smirked coldly.
But inside, Wan Chao’s mind was in turmoil. A young man displaying such audacity—his father must be even more formidable.
He racked his brain but couldn’t place anyone like this coming from within the city. In the end, he concluded this person had to be an outsider.
"Your turf? Don’t make me laugh. If you don’t help us, this might no longer be your turf." Xiang Yu mocked arrogantly.
Wan Chao’s men were already on edge. Despite lying low recently due to the crackdown, this situation had pushed them beyond patience. Never had they been humiliated like this.
"Are you implying you’d wipe us out?" Wan Chao asked, laughing at the absurdity—even he didn’t believe it himself.
"Let’s not beat around the bush. The person I’m looking for is critical to our organization, Wolf Fang. He’s tied to our reputation. No matter the cost, we must capture him alive." Xiang Yu declared confidently.
Hearing this, Wan Chao shot up from his seat. Many present might not know what Wolf Fang was, but Wan Chao certainly did.
"What did you just say?" Wan Chao asked, fearing he’d misheard.
Xiang Yu snorted coldly, "You didn’t hear me?"
Looking into Xiang Yu’s calm and assertive gaze, Wan Chao knew he had heard right. Glancing at his men, he finally said, "You all, get out."
Wan Chao’s men hesitated, baffled by his abrupt shift in demeanor. Had something just happened?
"Didn’t you hear me? Get out!" Wan Chao shouted, his voice laced with urgency.
Only now did his men confirm they hadn’t misheard. Reluctantly, they shot bitter glares at Xiang Yu before leaving the room.
Once the room was cleared, Wan Chao stepped out from behind his chair, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "Please, have a seat. My apologies for the poor hospitality."
Hiding behind Tie Zhuzi, Mi Hui couldn’t help but feel embarrassed. This was absurd. How could a man as powerful as Wan Chao be so easily played by Xiang Yu?
Moreover, the calm expressions on Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan’s faces made it seem like this was all perfectly normal. Could it be... Was Xiang Yu really part of Wolf Fang? But what was Wolf Fang even?
A flood of questions filled Mi Hui’s mind, leaving him more and more unsure about this seemingly ordinary man. It seemed there were a myriad of secrets about Xiang Yu he had yet to uncover...
