Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 501: Xiang Yu’s Team Causes Destruction
Chapter 501: Chapter 501: Xiang Yu’s Team Causes Destruction
A group of people were dragging He Jiang, who was utterly terrified. Although he had undergone training and knew he must be loyal to the organization, he was currently on a mission. Moreover, he was not about to die that easily.
Just as He Jiang was about to be pulled from the car, he suddenly shouted, "Stop, I have an announcement to make."
Hearing He Jiang’s words, everyone halted. He feigned calm and then addressed the group, "Today’s activity is canceled, we have another task."
"How can it be canceled? Look, I’ve already poured gasoline on myself," Xiang Yu said as he reached out to grab He Jiang again.
He Jiang, now infuriated, glared at Xiang Yu and said, "I said it’s canceled, now let’s hurry up and leave."
He Jiang yelled at the driver to retreat and then sat back in the vehicle. To him, his life was more important than the mission. Without his life, what good were his beliefs?
The concentration of gasoline in the car was very high, and He Jiang was genuinely worried that starting the car might cause a massive explosion.
Xiang Yu looked at He Jiang regretfully and said, "We already agreed on the plan, how can we just change it like this?"
The others also complained, blaming He Jiang for not letting them self-immolate.
He Jiang ignored them, now covered in gasoline. He guessed that if the temperature in the car rose much more, he’d be a goner.
"Drive quickly, head to the outskirts," He Jiang shouted angrily.
In less than half an hour, they arrived at a moat on the outskirts. After getting out of the vehicle, He Jiang immediately jumped into the water, finally feeling fully relaxed.
Xiang Yu and Tie Zhuzi also jumped in after him. Both wore flammable materials and were somewhat concerned about the real danger to their lives amidst the staged scenario.
In the water, He Jiang was gritting his teeth in anger at Xiang Yu. Had it not been for Xiang Yu’s interference, today might have been a success.
While the three soaked in the water, they suddenly noticed a "fire man" above them. The person was engulfed in roaring flames.
Xiang Yu was startled. It seemed someone had self-immolated. By this point, even if Xiang Yu ran to the rescue, it would be futile.
The person engulfed in flames initially stood screaming in agony and eventually collapsed, rolling around in pain. The sight was terrifying to witness.
"Save me, ah, save me, I don’t want to die." It was only at this moment that the person came to a full realization. But it was too late; not even a deity could save him now.
Those who had initially planned to self-immolate were petrified upon witnessing this scene. Faith was one thing, but when faced with actual death, they lost all courage.
"Save me." The burning man crawled toward someone on the ground, who screamed and ran away in fear.
Others also jumped into the water, now scared. The prospect of being burned to death was too horrifying.
The burning man continued to roll on the ground, then, using the last of his strength, jumped into a vehicle. The flames on his body immediately ignited the flammable materials inside the car, causing a tremendous explosion.
The fire man completely vanished into the air, leaving behind a nauseating smell of burning feathers lingering in the atmosphere.
Naively, everyone at the scene stared at the shocking aftermath in silence. More people began to gather around, and from a distance, a siren sounded, likely due to someone calling the police.
He Jiang glared viciously at Xiang Yu before climbing up the bank. Xiang Yu and Tie Zhuzi, having cleaned themselves, chased after him.
They needed to leave the scene immediately, otherwise, it would be troublesome when the police arrived. The explosion had occurred in a suburb, causing no casualties and minimal impact.
It was expected to be classified as a spontaneous vehicle combustion, unlucky for the car brand, as its sales would plummet.
"Get lost! If you keep following me, I’ll kill you!" He Jiang snapped as he looked back at Xiang Yu and his companion.
"Brother Scarface, don’t be angry. Let’s find another spot and continue with the ’self-immolation’," Xiang Yu called out, trailing behind.
He Jiang was like an ant on a hot pan, checking his watch. It was noon, and the operation on the other side must have started.
Fifty meters away from Guangda Bank, Xiao Xuan lay motionless on top of an office building, with an assembled M99 semi-automatic sniper rifle in front of him.
At that moment, Xiao Xuan lay there motionless, like a sculpture perfectly blending into the surroundings without standing out.
Just as the hands of the clock pointed exactly at noon, three vehicles suddenly stopped in front of Guangda Bank. The vehicles, all Hummer H3s, disgorged ten fully armed individuals wielding submachine guns, who charged into the bank.
The bystanders, thinking it was a film shoot, curiously wanted to enter the bank to see what movie was being filmed.
It wasn’t until blasts resounded inside that they fully realized what was happening, and they started screaming and running away frantically.
The scene quickly spiraled out of control, with passing vehicles flooring the gas pedal in fear. A few, overly anxious, collided into each other.
With no time to debate, they abandoned their vehicles and fled. Within a minute, the area within a few dozen meters was deserted.
They could only hear screams and consecutive blasts coming from the bank.
It was clear that the attackers were well-prepared, seemingly having mastered all the bank’s security measures.
The precision of their movements and coordination suggested they were professionally trained personnel.
Uninformed observers might have thought they were Special Forces apprehending criminals.
Xiao Xuan remained motionless on the rooftop, and a minute passed with the blasting continuing inside.
These people were professionals; to them, time was life. They had to seize every second to accomplish their mission.
Perhaps their plan was calculated down to the second. Xiao Xuan lay there, quickly regulating his breathing.
He was getting himself into the optimal state. Two minutes had passed, and the attackers hadn’t emerged yet. Inside, a deafening alarm went off in the bank building, but it did not deter the criminals.
Although the law enforcement was not too far away, it would take them at least ten minutes to arrive. Their designed "self-immolation" was meant to launch a smokescreen and divert attention.
However, the self-immolation had not proceeded as planned, and they had not abandoned their mission.
At two minutes and fifty seconds, the gunshots and explosions in the bank ceased. Xiao Xuan knew they must be about to exit soon, and his finger rested on the trigger...
