Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 94 East Sea Military Region
"Jealous? Jealous of who?!" Yang Ruoxi snapped. Her quiet, lovely face instantly flushed red, her beautiful eyes filled with unmistakable shyness.
"Then why were you upset?" Lin Kuang asked, tilting his head as he stared at her with a curious expression. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Hearing this, Yang Ruoxi paused. "Yeah... Why was I?"
After thinking for a long while, she still couldn’t come up with a reason. So frustrated her chest heaved, she glared fiercely at Lin Kuang.
Seeing her adorable reaction, Lin Kuang couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
"Look at you, you’re so cute. Come on, sit down and I’ll explain."
As he spoke, Lin Kuang naturally took Yang Ruoxi’s small hand, guiding her to sit beside him.
The moment Lin Kuang’s hand enveloped hers, Yang Ruoxi’s delicate body trembled slightly, and she bit the corner of her lip. However, she didn’t resist, letting him hold her hand as she sat down next to him.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang briefly recounted what had happened the night before. He omitted any mention of Fan Bingbing, explaining only that he had returned too late and the situation had been too tense for him to visit.
Hearing his explanation, Yang Ruoxi finally nodded in understanding.
"So, the incident at the stadium last night was the work of those mercenaries?" she asked. Her anger had subsided, replaced by a flicker of curiosity.
"Yeah, it was all their doing," Lin Kuang said with a trace of irritation. Thinking back on the previous night’s events left a sour taste in his mouth. If he hadn’t been strong enough, he likely would have died.
"Those guys are awful! Next time, I’ll get my dad to dispatch the army to help you!" Yang Ruoxi huffed.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang rolled his eyes. The army can’t be mobilized on a whim. Still, her words made him happy.
"Alright, everything’s fine now, so you don’t have to worry," Lin Kuang said with a smile, gently stroking her cheek.
"Mm," Yang Ruoxi mumbled, still in a daze.
Then it dawned on her—Lin Kuang had just casually touched her face!
"You... you... you’re not allowed to touch me!" Yang Ruoxi shot to her feet, glaring at him angrily.
"Oh? Well, you can touch me back. That way we’ll be even, right?" Lin Kuang asked, deliberately putting on an innocent expression.
"I... I... I... You jerk, Lin Kuang!" Yang Ruoxi stamped her foot in frustration, her face growing even more flushed.
"Alright, alright, let’s go downstairs. We have to head to the military region soon," Lin Kuang said, standing up with a grin.
"Hmph!" Yang Ruoxi snorted. Her hand shot out like lightning, seizing the soft flesh at Lin Kuang’s waist. She pinched hard before giving it a vicious twist.
Lin Kuang stood there, dumbfounded. The next moment, his face contorted in pain.
Seeing this, Yang Ruoxi released her hand with satisfaction, a triumphant smile gracing her features.
Lin Kuang frantically rubbed the spot. The pain was excruciating, piercing right to his heart!
Yang Ruoxi hummed, turning to leave.
"Ruoxi, wait a second," Lin Kuang said suddenly.
Hearing him, Yang Ruoxi froze in her tracks and turned to look at him.
In an instant, Lin Kuang appeared before her. Before she could react, his lips brushed against hers like a dragonfly skimming the surface of water.
"You pinched me, so I had to kiss you to get even," Lin Kuang’s voice whispered in her ear. Then, he vanished from the room, heading straight downstairs.
Take advantage and run. Otherwise, who knew what that girl would do to him?
Yang Ruoxi stared, dumbstruck, at Lin Kuang’s retreating figure. A moment later, her pretty face turned a deep crimson with shyness.
"Lin Kuang, you... you bastard! Just you wait! I’ll get you back tonight!" she fumed, stomping her foot and glaring in the direction he had gone.
By this time, Lin Kuang had already reached the ground floor, acting as if nothing had happened.
"Lin Kuang, is everything alright? If so, shall we get going?" Yang Wucheng asked with a smile as he saw Lin Kuang come downstairs.
Lin Kuang nodded. "Sure, Uncle Yang, let’s go."
Yang Wucheng nodded, and the two of them left, one after the other.
"Did you drive here?" Yang Wucheng asked with a smile, looking at the vehicle parked outside.
"I did," Lin Kuang confirmed.
"Good. I’ll have the young lads at the gate memorize your license plate. That will make it more convenient for you to come and go. Let’s head out. I’ll drive my car, and you take yours," Yang Wucheng said with a smile.
Lin Kuang smiled and nodded in agreement. They drove off in their respective cars, heading one after the other toward the East Sea Military Region.
In less than half an hour, they arrived and entered the military base. With Commander-in-Chief Yang Wucheng leading the way, Lin Kuang naturally had no trouble getting in. The two of them parked in front of the military region’s office building and got out.
"The second floor of that factory-like building up ahead is where our Seal Special Team trains. Their outdoor training is done on the mountain behind it," Yang Wucheng explained. "Our Seal Special Team always maintains a nine-man roster. If someone dies or is severely injured, we have replacements ready to step in. Later on, don’t go easy on my account. There are a few troublemakers on the team. If they don’t listen, you have my permission to knock them into shape. You know how it is; every unit has a few."
As he spoke, Yang Wucheng smiled, but his expression made it clear he didn’t truly consider them a problem. Everyone knew that troublemakers in the military only survived if they had exceptional skill to back it up. What else gave them the right? It wasn’t an easy role to play; without real ability, they would have been disciplined long ago.
Lin Kuang smiled and nodded. "Commander, in that case, I won’t hold back."
"Haha, I brought you here to whip them into shape. It will also teach them that there’s always someone better out there. By the way, give me your clothing and shoe sizes. I’ll have someone bring them to you right away," Yang Wucheng added.
Lin Kuang nodded and gave his sizes to Yang Wucheng, who immediately sent someone to get them.
A few minutes later, the two arrived at the two-story building. The main door was open, and they could faintly hear shouting from within. Clearly, the Seal Special Team was training. For Special Forces, constant training was a necessity.
"Let’s go inside," Yang Wucheng said with a smile, leading Lin Kuang into the training room.
Inside, nine men were locked in a chaotic brawl. Seeing Yang Wucheng enter, they acted as if they hadn’t seen a thing, continuing their bare-handed combat.
Lin Kuang said nothing, his eyes fixed on these battle-hardened soldiers.
