Chapter 90: Chapter 90 Don’t Leave Tonight

"Lin Kuang, thank you for saving me once again," Fan Bingbing said with a smile.

Although she had learned from Lin Kuang what had just happened, she remained remarkably composed and showed no signs of lingering fear. Such self-possession was beyond that of an ordinary person. Looking at Fan Bingbing, a hint of admiration appeared in Lin Kuang’s eyes.

"Why be so formal with me?" Lin Kuang said with a smile, his gaze holding a deeper meaning.

Hearing this, Fan Bingbing’s pretty face flushed, as if she understood the implication of his words. She could not help but roll her eyes at him.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang smiled slightly. "Alright, you should call Zhao You and the others so they don’t worry about you."

Upon hearing his words, Fan Bingbing finally remembered Zhao You and the others. She quickly picked up the phone in the room and dialed his number.

Half an hour later, Zhao You came rushing back with several men in suits. Seeing Fan Bingbing sitting there safely and chatting with Lin Kuang, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness you’re alright! If anything had happened to you, I would have been worried to death," Zhao You said, finally relaxing.

"Is everything taken care of on your end?" Fan Bingbing asked with a smile.

"Yeah, I called the higher-ups, and they’ve handled it. But the Family Head wants you to return tomorrow," Zhao You said with a hint of helplessness.

Hearing this, the smile on Fan Bingbing’s face faded slightly before it grew even more radiant. "I understand. I have to go back sooner or later, so tomorrow is fine."

At her words, a hint of surprise appeared in Zhao You’s eyes. He knew full well how much Fan Bingbing detested returning to the family. Yet the Fan Bingbing before him seemed like a different person, not resisting the return at all.

"Bingbing, are you really alright?" Zhao You asked, unable to hide his concern.

"Do I look like something’s wrong?" Fan Bingbing countered with a smile.

Zhao You blinked. "Okay, you really don’t look like anything’s wrong."

"Good. You all can go now. I want to chat with Lin Kuang," Fan Bingbing said.

At her words, Zhao You could not help but glance at Lin Kuang before his gaze returned to Fan Bingbing, looking as if he wanted to say something but held back.

"Come on, I’m not a child. I know what I’m doing. You can go," Fan Bingbing said again, looking at him.

Zhao You sighed helplessly. Saying no more, he led the men in black suits out of the room.

"Are you hungry?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile.

"Mhm, I am a little hungry. Are you going to cook for me?" Fan Bingbing asked playfully, acting like an eager child.

"I am, but it might not taste very good. You won’t mind, will you?" Lin Kuang said with a laugh.

"Of course not. I’ll go take a shower, and you can cook?" Fan Bingbing suggested, her delight plain to see.

"Sure, go ahead. I’ll get cooking." With that, Lin Kuang stood up and walked toward the kitchen.

Watching his departing figure, the smile on Fan Bingbing’s face deepened. "If... if I could live a life like this, wouldn’t that be a wonderful thing?" she murmured to herself before getting up and heading to the bathroom.

Lin Kuang entered the kitchen and glanced around. He spotted beef and noodles in the refrigerator, and a smile touched his lips.

Beef noodles. It’s been a while. he thought, and started to cook.

Almost half an hour later, Fan Bingbing emerged from the bathroom and walked to the kitchen entrance. At that exact moment, Lin Kuang was finishing plating two bowls of noodles, as if he had calculated the precise time she would appear.

"It smells so good," Fan Bingbing said with a smile, her cute nose twitching.

Hearing her, Lin Kuang looked up, his gaze landing on her. Fan Bingbing was wrapped in only a pristine white bath towel. Her hair was still damp, framing her captivating face. The coquettish charm in her gaze, in particular, made Lin Kuang’s heart skip a beat.

Seeing his eyes fixed on her, Fan Bingbing’s cheeks flushed, but she did not look away. She simply met his deep, mesmerizing gaze that she found so enchanting.

"Let’s eat first," Lin Kuang said with a smile, carrying the two bowls.

"Okay, I’ll get the chopsticks." Fan Bingbing retrieved two pairs of chopsticks, and they both sat down at the dining table.

"Time was limited, so I could only whip up some noodles. Give it a try," Lin Kuang said, smiling.

"Mhm," Fan Bingbing hummed in agreement, picking up her chopsticks and taking a bite. As she ate the steaming noodles, she felt a warmth spreading through her body. Or perhaps, it was her heart that felt the warmth most of all.

"It’s delicious," she said earnestly after swallowing.

"Mhm, I think it’s delicious too," Lin Kuang replied with a smile after taking a bite himself.

Hearing this, Fan Bingbing shot him a playful look. "You’re so narcissistic."

"No," Lin Kuang corrected her seriously. "This is called confidence."

At his words, they looked at each other and suddenly burst into wild, joyous laughter. They finished their noodles in this pleasant atmosphere.

After taking the bowls and chopsticks to the kitchen and tidying up, Lin Kuang came out and sat down beside Fan Bingbing. Inhaling the faint, sweet scent coming from her, Lin Kuang felt an indescribable stirring in his heart.

Fan Bingbing seemed to sense it too, and her pretty face blushed once more.

"It’s past midnight... Can you stay tonight?" Fan Bingbing whispered, looking into Lin Kuang’s eyes with unwavering determination.

"Are you sure?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile.

"Mhm." Fan Bingbing seemed to understand what he was asking. She hummed softly in response, but her affirmation was firm.

Hearing her, Lin Kuang nodded. "Alright."

"Then... go take a shower. I’ll wait for you in the room," she said, her face growing even redder as her voice trailed off.

"Alright. Wait for me, I’ll be quick," Lin Kuang said with a grin.

Watching him go, Fan Bingbing blushed and walked into her bedroom. She sat on the edge of the bed, waiting with a heart full of anticipation, nervousness, and even more, happiness.

Lin Kuang went into the bathroom and took a quick shower. A beautiful woman was waiting for him; how could he possibly be slow?

In just two or three minutes, he was done. With a smile on his face, he walked into Fan Bingbing’s bedroom.
